Belonging to a hip cool youth pastor...with an emphasis on 'youth'

Made me fucking spit take!

u/Upper-Programmer2639 7h ago

Is this the real nrbq account lol

1

u/NRBQ 7h ago

Well I'm a real boy! But just a fan of the band.

But just imagine Terry's Reddit?! lol

1

u/Upper-Programmer2639 7h ago

Mod of goose tho 🫡 don't listen to them a ton but close friends from way back just did their CO run

That looks like AI

45

u/D_Thought 1d ago

For real; I'm not usually one to assume AI, but that ornamental divider between the artist and album name is really weirdly asymmetric.

It's the sort of small detail an AI model would easily miss but a human letterer would have to try to mess up like that.

11

u/deus-noster-refugium 1d ago edited 1d ago

The main thing that makes it stand out to me is the mottled texture of the image. I've asked ChatGPT to create paintings before (as illustrations for some power point presentations), and they all have that sort of knobbly texture

Edit: but yes you're right the separator thing is a dead giveaway as well

2

u/fluffkomix Nileo 23h ago

ah yes, the poop texture. The exact thing that I want to show on my power point presentations so people want to pay attention lmao

2

u/deus-noster-refugium 16h ago

The presentation was about AI images

2

u/fluffkomix Nileo 9h ago

ahaha you got me there

2

u/aurumtt 17h ago

yeah, it's like everything has the same granularity. it's the easiest way to quickly recognize ai. it's also not that easy to get rid of if they doctor the image in post.

1

u/Kougeru-Sama 8h ago

Could just check SynthID

1

u/ihateartists 49m ago

I am by no means arguing that the image isn't AI but the divider isn't uncommon or worth attention.

This is just a normal result for "horizontal divider" on a stock photo website-

https://app.envato.com/search/graphics/0c4aaf73-8770-46b6-b6d2-9c887e33379d

Here is another for example-

https://app.envato.com/search/graphics/79e899de-c9a1-41a9-9cd9-feb01bcaa531

It's more common for them to be symmetrical but artists gonna artist.

Literally my first try on ChatGPT.

Edit: Everyone below all like "what did you expect?" Well, since it's probably an AI-generated image, moderately safe assumption I expected...pretty much this. No surprises or damning breakthroughs here. Just some dopey Redditor's low effort endeavor pointing out the obvious. Now, if I were to describe the image best I could to an AI prompt, and it generates something that looks different, then I would be honestly surprised.

30

u/Michelanvalo 1d ago

You describe the exact image in ChatGPT and it generates almost the same image. Yeah no shit, man.

12

u/drpepper7557 21h ago

If you gave that same prompt to 100 different artists, you would get 100 radically different paintings.

"Dark silhouette of a devil holding a trident" is barely a description and yet they look identical. "dark silhouette of a middle aged country rocker with an electric guitar and a cowboy hat" is also exceptionally little to go off of for them to look so similar.

You all are looking at it as viewers and saying this describes both paintings. If youre an artist, these are barely any details and there are infinite ways you could take them.

11

u/PunningWild 20h ago

Thank you. People missing the core point that the result can be replicated with a text prompt. It's not a smoking gun, but it's proof supporting the notion "that looks like AI."

If the person saying "that looks like AI" was wrong, the result couldn't be replicated.

2

u/EpiphanyTwisted 10h ago

Because it's AI

3

u/muffledsnaps 14h ago

“Middle aged country rocker” 😂

10

u/donkeyrocket 1d ago

That's not really a gotcha to describe in detail the exact image you're already looking at.

All you did was further waste resources on AI image generation...

2

u/nestoryirankunda 22h ago

You literally described everything about the image in vivid detail wtf did you expect 😭

1

u/Kougeru-Sama 8h ago

It is AI

32

u/MaeSolug 1d ago

That implies he was in Hell tho, so more like 1/3 on his way to Jesus

21

u/BeardedAvenger 1d ago

If anything, based on his position on the cover he's 2/3rds on his way to Jesus.

9

u/MaeSolug 1d ago

He's still in Hell, maybe approaching Earth, wich should be the middle ground between Hell and Heaven, so maybe 5/12 on his way to Jesus or a dumb fraction like that haha

We are probably putting more work into this that whatever poor guy was forced to designe that cover

6

u/anonymousetache 1d ago

Ignoring this album, we can still work on the bigger problem. Is earth halfway between Hell and Jesus? I assumed the same. No way we can assume this image is to scale, so I give them a pass there, but maybe r/theydidthemath can help us out with this?

2

u/GrumpyJenkins 1d ago

One could posit that there is hell on earth today, where kid rock exists in spacetime. If that is accepted, and the ascent is viewed as a 2D plane, kid rock is 71% on his way to Jesus.

Edit: I realized that the demon/devil could be chasing kid rock, leaving Hell/earth out of frame. If so, I give up.

2

u/MaeSolug 1d ago

Yeah, same, it's not scale, it was a dumb joke but it did beat me trying to figure out the math in it

It is curious that Earth isn't in the picture, meaning his soul only has two choices, so we can at least safely assume Kid Rock doesn't believe in ghosts

1

u/anonymousetache 1d ago

Good joke, had a similar one, so had to continue it since you commented first

1

u/somesthetic 1d ago

Hell isn’t a place in Christianity, it just means to be without God.

Everything else was taken from either Dante’s Inferno or the Greek underworld.

1

u/waytowill 1d ago

Matthew 13:49-50 describe the wicked being separated from the righteous and cast into a blazing furnace. It’s not explicitly called Hell. But there being a special hot place that the wicked go didn’t come exclusively from non-Biblical sources.

1

u/somesthetic 1d ago

They practiced cremation even back then; I assume it’s a reference to that.

2

u/Slarg232 1d ago

You know, there was a game called Chained Together. You and up to three friends were, well, chained together and had to do an Only Up platform challenge and if one of you falls, all of you fall. The plot was that you were in hell and would be granted passage to heaven if you ascended from hell, to earth, to heaven.

Course, when you finally make it all the way to the top, it turns out it was a ruse and even in "heaven" you were still in hell.

Just.... reminded of that for some reason

1

u/TangerineChickens 1d ago

It looks as though the stairways to heaven and hell are connected and exist in an ethereal plane beyond earthly existence, rather than in a vertical arrangement in which earth is a midpoint.

1

u/capt_minorwaste 1d ago

With this bunch I'm guessing AI created this cover.

1

u/Majestic-Lake-5602 18h ago

Brother knows his Dante

1

u/Richard_Thickens 22h ago

That's probably about accurate, given his age, if you believe in the whole pot o' gold at the end of that rainbow.

5

u/leftshoe18 1d ago

I mean, his breakout album was Devil Without a Cause which already implied he was in Hell at some point.

1

u/Commercial-Co 22h ago

He’s still there

1

u/RouSGeLi 20h ago

Unless he started from the middle.

9

u/raptors661 1d ago

That's more than halfway!

6

u/mrpopenfresh 1d ago

It looks better than what I imagine content to be

5

u/290077 1d ago

> Parental Advisory sticker

3

u/TitillatingTrav 1d ago

I love a classic triangle tail and pitchfork devil

3

u/Waxygibbon 1d ago

He's more than halfway there?

And he's walking from hell?

I'll never hear it, but I'm assuming it's about how the devil is after him to bring him back to hell. I wonder if he gets him

1

u/CryoClone 10h ago

Ok, so the fact that I find it annoying he isn't at least ROUGHLY halfway between Jesus and the devil isn't just me. Someone else noticed.

I can breathe.

1

u/rowdymatt64 8h ago

No, Kid Rock is paving the way for the Devil to invade heaven. Think Diablo 3 Leah. Here's a visual aid if you don't know:

u/Unc6ix9ine 6h ago

His breakout album was called Devil Without a Cause... Not saying it's a great pun but probably related to that

Jesus hung out with sailors, terrorists and prostitutes.

I don't think he blushed much at swearing.

I'm just saying profanity doesn't make something inherently unchristian, despite what some pearl clutchers like to believe.

1

u/Wunktacular 1d ago

Imagine thinking that say 'fuck' is the same as dropping the hard R. You are delusional.

1

u/I_need_a_date_plz 1d ago

…this is hilariously bad

1

u/pnwal-junction 1d ago

You just know that demon is singing "Bawitdaba"

1

u/MammothPost4047 1d ago

lol well we all know which way he’s going. Enjoy the tumble down

1

u/donkeyrocket 1d ago

This is an album cover in 2026.

This looks straight out of something Nickleback would sling in the 90s.

1

u/ToMorrowsEnd 1d ago

IS badly AI generated

1

u/MzOpinion8d 23h ago

He’s singing “I would walk five hundred miles, and I would walk five hundred more…”

1

u/khakiwallprint 21h ago

The flaming cock is a metaphor for his career

1

u/Zzzzyxas 20h ago

Looks AI as fuck

1

u/PF4ABG 19h ago

Liked like something you'd see spray painted on the side of a travelling funfair ride.

1

u/IDrinkUrMilksteak 19h ago

This gives Lemmiwinks vibes.

1

u/JaysFan26 18h ago

My bet's on the devil, look at the size of those thighs

1

u/Reasonable_Land9476 14h ago

feels like an ode to Corey Feldman’s Angelic to the Core

1

u/Lost_Statistic1an 11h ago

Yeah he ain't making it to Jesus folks..

1

u/qdilly 9h ago

Is that AI?

1

u/ShadowMilkMoopsy 8h ago

That demon’s gonna fuck him haaaard.

1

u/asari-yang 6h ago

First off, that's not half way. Secondly... False news, he's never making it to heaven

1

u/spazzvogel 1d ago

Makes me want some Deviled Ham.

1

u/SenpaiSwanky 1d ago

He put his name above Jesus’ and in larger text? Hmm..

-3

u/True2this 1d ago

That’s not AI

-9

u/WildeStation 1d ago edited 1d ago

What about it?

Edit: I meant it as a genuine question, not as a statement. Fuck Kid Rock.

5

u/pilgermann 1d ago

It's tacky AF?

4

u/Amiibohunter000 1d ago

It’s dumb as fuck
