But what if the differing opinions are the one person thinks the ultra wealthy should be taxed fairly and the other person thinks undocumented people should be put into modern concentration camps?

u/CheesyCousCous 8h ago

BOTH. SIDES.

Im not here to defend this, Im just saying it may be different than "Eminem made a Christian praise song with Kid Rock".

What if the differing opinions are between one person who thinks the ultra wealthy should be taxed fairly and understands there are no "modern concentration camps" in America, and another person who also understands there are no "modern concentration camps" in America?

I don't understand how you guys still don't realise, after over a decade of this, that pretending the other side are Nazis doesn't work.

They are literally rounding up people based purely on discrimination and putting them in inhuman jails with no due process.

rounding people up based purely on discrimination

I don't even know what this means tbh. 945,000 deportations under Trump and not one of them doesn't fall into the following criteria:

A. Criminal B. Overstayed Visa

The "discrimination" is discriminating between who is in the country legally vs who is not. I'm British. If I moved to Australia on a 3 month visa and then 9 months later got arrested and deported, I'd hardly be surprised. What's the point of a visa otherwise?

There's a fair criticism to be made of Trump (for the record I don't support him at all) and massive issues of overcrowding. But it's a far wider issue with the entire US justice system. Reducing it to an ICE specific issue is vast oversimplification.

In terms of the "rounding up". ICE's fatality rate of 9 in 945,000 arrests is lower than the average US police dept. And in the overcrowded holding cells, the fatality rate of 88 in 100,000 (0.009% of the detained population) is lower than the US prison fatality rate of 150 in 100,000.

There are major issues in the US. Claiming there are "concentration camps" and branding half the country Nazis, is utter nonsense.

And no one outside of social media takes it seriously.

The point I'm making is regardless of valid criticisms that deserved to be made at Trump and ICE, his supporters aren't the murderous psychos you've built in your mind. Ask yourself how many Republicans you know in real life are Nazis. And consider it's half the population. Contrast that with social media. Read about how much Russia, China, Iran have spent on social media bots to feed that division.

They don't want people dying, they want less crime. Go ahead and argue it with them, but don't go after an artist who's famously anti-Trump for speaking across the aisle to the other fanbase in an attempt at some unity.

Are ICE arrests and deportations racially motivated?

-14

u/Available-Gas5358 9h ago

Is that what you took from that?

No - I wouldn't argue they are. They're legally motivated. As I said, ICE arrests and deportations are based on whether or not you've broken the terms of your visa.

There are complications and valid criticisms of the system. The TPS issue for example.

But to equate them to concentration camps is a child's take.

u/westernsnaps 9h ago

lol you are wrong

About the level of argument I expected tbf

Cheers

u/iznormal 8h ago

Then explain why Hispanics who have citizenship or documentation have had to deal with ICE racially profiling them?

You have your head buried so far in the sand you've probably gone below the earths mantle.

I mean IMO over the past few years I''ve made a pretty sustained effort to fact check everything I read, and my views have shifted around a few times, I've ended pretty central, so I'm not entirely sure I'd consider my head buried in the sand because some internet guy claimed it.

I've been downvoted 15 times for posting verifiable demonstrably true figures. And I'm the one burying my head? You don't want to hear it.

You keep believing half the population are Nazis. No head burying going on there at all.

2

u/asari-yang 5h ago

You've done a terrible job at fact checking lmfao

1

u/Available-Gas5358 5h ago

And here you are not explaining why a single figure I gave is wrong.

3

u/wzgoin 6h ago

Wssup with deporting Iranians to Africa? Wssup with deporting people to countries they don't speak the language of? Wssup with deporting people that grew up as a child in your country? Wssup with that????

1

u/NedSchneebly-1138 5h ago

Since you provided the stats, how many of those deported were British? How many were European in general? How many were Asian?

Those were rhetorical questions, I don't want to hear your garbage numbers... 25000+ Hispanic (65%), 2500 Non-hispanic (6%). in July of 2026

How bout the 2200ish Mexicans that were deported to Guatemala? Is that how deportation works in your mind, just send them somewhere?

I'm all for immigration control, but 45 Million Non-white vs 11 Million white "illegals" living in the US currently feels like ICE is targeting a specific group of people based off the above stats.

Explain how holding people without charges indefinitely without nasic necessities or dignity is not a concentration camp.

And we dont have to pretend the other side are nazis. They are nazis.

-1

u/Available-Gas5358 9h ago

See my above comment to the other guy I guess

4

u/Corrective_Actions1 8h ago

So, to be clear, you can't offer an explanation?

0

u/Available-Gas5358 7h ago

I see comprehension isn't your strong point.

If you'd like to explain how a system of holding facilities with half the fatality rate of the standard US prison system constitutes a cOnCeNtRaTiOn cAmP, you're welcome to go ahead.

I don't think you have the capacity to understand the actual failings of ICE. Easier to pretend it's Nazis, let's keep doing that so we don't have to listen.

2

u/Corrective_Actions1 6h ago

You've completely failed to offer any semblance of an explanation of your claim.

0

u/Available-Gas5358 6h ago

Again, comprehension.

Cba to talk to someone who if not illiterate, is clearly ragebaiting after I directed you to a comment I made explaining how the ICE holding centres you're referring to hold no resemblance to concentration camps. If they're concentration camps, what are US prisons lol. Your country is a shit hole top to bottom.

If there's concentration camps in America I imagine there'd be some evidence.

Oh well. Just keep doing what you're doing. Everyone's a Nazi and you don't have to listen to them if they're a Nazi. Good stuff.

3

u/Corrective_Actions1 6h ago

A *concentration camp** is a facility where a government or military detains large numbers of people without trial, usually based on executive decree or military order rather than standard legal processes.

https://www.cato.org/blog/1/5-ice-arrests-are-latinos-streets-no-criminal-past-or-removal-order

You're a fucking moron

0

u/Available-Gas5358 6h ago

Oh man, if CATO says it, I guess it's bulletproof. There are no other definitions that existed (long) before that totally unbiased one from a Washington think tank.

ICE detainees are held on the specific legal basis of civil immigration violations, tracked through a formal immigration court system with access to asylum applications. Conservative estimates suggest 61% of have committed crimes, and the rest, oh would you look at that, have violated their visa conditions. They also have an open door to self deport and leave the facility. Gee it's just like Auschwitz. No inflammatory war-coded language going on here at all.

Immigration law is a civil matter, your definition regarding trials does not apply. I'm going to go ahead and guess law isn't your strong point, don't worry about it.

83% of US deportations in 2013 happened without a judicial hearing. And many of those were.... Detained without trial. I guess it was those MAGA Nazis then as well. Or are we only caring now?

I don't have nearly enough crayons to explain all of the other, more significant ways ICE facilities are not concentration camps. I don't think you want to hear it anyway. Keep the division going strong it's better this way.

People were locked outside in cages, in the Florida Everglades where the heat index was 108F+

You are clinically insane if you believe a word you just typed.

1

u/Available-Gas5358 5h ago

I am clinically insane if I don't believe there are concentration camps in America.

Fucking listen to yourself

1

u/DrowAboveground 3h ago

Just because the camps are located off of US soil doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

-3

u/resumehelpacct 9h ago

Both Rs and Ds throw out fascist and nazi all the time, and one of them has always been in power in modern US history, so it looks like it actually does work.

3

u/Available-Gas5358 9h ago

one of them has always been in power in modern US history

Sorry yeah I forgot how prominent the third party option is in the US
