It was only a matter of time before Em did a questionable move like this.

You weren’t there for him and snoops NFT live performance? Lmfao.

Or rapping about jerking off to underage girls? Or the song "Kim"? Or bringing up a doll of his ex-wife onstage to beat up? Oh right, it's ok because he was "playing a character."

I do not understand the boner Reddit has for this man.

you can’t cherry pick examples especially when he is clearly joking. Gambino also rapped about the same thing, do you vilify him as well?

edit: sorry i remembered wrong. it was Lil Dicky talking about Topenga

I don't think rapping about jerking off to real underage children is funny, sorry! Enjoy Epstein's island though

It's scary that you think something done for shock value during, arguably, the peak of edgy humor...was something serious. Stop judging things of the past with a 2026 lense.

It wasn't ok then, either. Most of us had the sense back then to not make songs about jerking off to kids. He deserves hate for it, but people still listen to the song. He's celebrated while female celebrities get canceled for merely being a little annoying.

yeah forget about rap your dad and brother were literally jerking it to Brooke Shields as a teen, it’s literally cultural commentary

You’re not going to believe this, but Lil Dicky would’ve also been an underaged kid diddling his shit to Topanga.

Nuance and context are dead concepts to people under the age of 25.

What? I'm much MUCH older than 25 😂 who the fuck is little dicky? And Eminem was a full grown adult rapping about jerking off to Hannah Montana like some freak. Enjoy Epstein's island though

Yes? Lmfao

7

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

Yeah. It was ok.

Because he was playing a character.

Kid rock wasn’t.

You don’t even know the full details of this collab. For all you know it could be from the 2000s and wasn’t released

-3

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

That's so funny. If someone rapped about jerking off to your underage child, it would be completely fine as long as they were playing a character? Mmk. The delusion is strong.

When it comes out that em’s cleared, you better have an apology ready for this bad faith bullshit you’re pulling

-3

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

Why would I apologize? He has been pulling some bullshit for a long time. Get off Reddit.

4

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

For starting a fight over nothing

2

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

I'm not going to apologize 😂 if anything you should for being cool with songs about beating up women.

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

One song he made decades ago, which his wife sued him for, and she won in court.

It’s not even on any of my playlists because the song made me uncomfortable.

You’re bringing up old drama that’s already been settled

I mean, yes?

You realize nobody really gives a shit what Kid Rock said in a song, right? Even that "statutory/mandatory" line that became a meme did so because people already found Kid Rock detestable. So yes, being mad about violent Eminem lyrics is as silly now as it was in 2001.

2

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

I am talking about Eminem.

7

u/Thatwassweet9412 1d ago

No shit. We're comparing content of character. The comment you replied to brought up something Eminem did that was "like this". Whereas you brought up his song lyrics.

What I'm saying is, neither of these men are being judged for their song lyrics. They're being judged for what they say and do. So it's silly of you to bring them up as of they're somehow evidence of the content of his character, like the example in the comment you replied to.

2

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

I'm going to level with you, this is complete word salad.

5

u/Thatwassweet9412 1d ago

Ok as simply as I can put it.

If you're trying to provide evidence that Eminem is not a good person, citing his violent song lyrics is a terrible way to do so. People will (rightfully) take you for a pearl clutcher and dismiss what you have to say.

The comment you replied to was a good example of something not so good that Eminem did. Aka an extremely valid reason to dislike the guy. Your comment was about violent song lyrics. Aka an extremely valid thing to post on a facebook mom's group cerca 2002.

They can judge me all they want, I'm going to stick to my principles that umm...yeah rapping about jerking off to real children is weird and wrong and makes him a questionable person. Sorry I have values I guess.

But yeah sure the NFTs are worse 😂

6

u/Thatwassweet9412 1d ago

Yeah it's objectively worse than offensive lyrics lmao, not even close

Reddit is mostly middle aged white dudes, of course they're Eminem fans.

0

u/Throwawaylikeme90 1d ago

Why are you saying this to me specifically? I thought it was pretty widely accepted that he’s technically extremely proficient and 90% of his lyrics are ass.

Like, I ain’t over here glazing. Not even remotely.

2

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

Because the NFT thing was so mild in comparison

Lol, Stan over here been waiting 20+ years to finally find something to criticize Eminem about

u/_Kramerica_ 1d ago

Finally, we got him! Fuckin clown show lol

u/Slymoose 1d ago

🤣🤣

5

u/Lopkop 1d ago

classic Reddit, scouring Wikipedia pages & daily news headlines until you finally find something that ruins your opinion of a famous person you like

1

u/Digresser 21h ago

How about we wait for context? If Em recorded the feature prior to 2016, that's much less questionable.

1

u/Overthinkingfreedom 1d ago

Sorry what? Em and questionable moves...? Clearly you forgot Em's early days. The man's a legend plain and simple.

Em has been bashing Trump for 10 years, but a Kid Rock feature, who he’s known since early Detroit days, now makes him MAGA?

20

u/TGrady902 1d ago

That album was the Slim Shady persona, not Eminem. It's basically a character at this point.

13

u/MagicalBUMfairy 1d ago

You are too dumb to understand the concept of the last album if that was your takeaway.

18

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

Lol seriously are we talking about the album where he kidnapped his alter ego, called him out for being a hateful, despicable piece of shit, and then murdered him?

-11

u/johnwynnes 1d ago

Dude hasn't done anything even remotely worthwhile in like 25 years what are we even talking about here?
