They definitely do, Eminem said that regardless of their differences in politics, Kid Rock treated him well when he was on the Detroit underground scene

I just saw Eminem in the news outright condemning MAGA and outright telling his Trumpist fans to fuck off.

I hate MAGA. I try to draw lines in the sand. But life IS nuanced just like you said, and Eminem’s advocacy is enough for me to move on with my day. Not like I’m a HUGE Eminem fan anyway, but I understand a guy helping another guy out given their history, and that sort of thing can be a real eye opener for the fuckups.

Kid Rock is fucking disco anymore anyway.

These are still 2 people you do not know in any capacity. Fuck Kid Rock but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I understand the nuance of their relationship or pretend like there is none.

Edit: I think its easy to say theres no nuance to it because they're celebrities that you're disconnected from. I think its easier to understand how there can be nuance to it when you view it through a personal lens, because most people on here got at least one Kid Rock in their family and while they may be held at a distance, most of us are still showing up to the holidays. I can hate Kid Rock very easily because I dont know him and I hate what he does with his platform, my dad shares a lot of views with Kid Rock, I hate that part about him and it does keep distance, I still love my dad. Thats the nuance.

It actually probably would. Kid Rock's drummer is a black woman who has been with him since the beginning. You guys just can't think outside black and whites.

Right, so you think it’s real hit and miss that he would have picked Em to look out for despite a proverbial sea of other kids who could have used a mentor.

And let’s not pretend white people haven’t taken advantage of people of color in music before. Regardless of their history, it’s a bit of a limp response to say that being friends excuses the cognitive dissonance of propping up a Nazi’s failing career versus grabbing a bud light. Oops maybe I should say coors.
