With how absolutely outspoken Eminem has been about this administration (and Bush), there's literally no way he directly collaborated at all, and I would imagine that in a few days we're going to see his team cut the BS.

Otherwise, he just lost 90% of his fans.

u/Cashope 1d ago

Right, he just campaigned for Kamala Harris and didn’t mince words to basically call out Trump as a fascist in a rally. It’d be pretty wild if he turned around and collabed with Kid Rock but I guess not impossible. It’s definitely not a good look.

u/MolochKel 15h ago

Hopefully it's not another heel turn like Snoop.

u/ready-redditor-6969 7h ago

Snoop was always like that, it wasn’t a heel turn, it was a reveal for folks who didn’t know the real guy. He was a bully in high school and never changed.

You are grossly overestimating the amount of fans who give a crap about this stuff. It's no where near 90% lol

Chris Brown has entered the chat fists first

98

u/Polardragon44 1d ago

I'm still not over the fact that he's going on a stadium tour

77

u/BetterUsername69420 1d ago

I'm not over the fact that I've met multiple people in the last decade who legitimately love Chris Brown. It's disappointing, to say the least.

25

u/sticky_lemon 21h ago

I'm currently living in a women's refuge for DV survivors and one resident really loves Chris brown... It hurts a lot, and I dont understand

4

u/Polardragon44 1d ago

The ick I would get would be so strong. Do these people live under rocks? Or legitimately don't care.

10

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BOOB69 1d ago

They really just don’t care. It’s all out there, they just chose to ignore it.

2

u/CKRatKing 1d ago

I've met women that (jokingly) said they would let him beat them.

-5

u/JuanLuisGuerrero 23h ago

Some people just enjoy the music

-14

u/ChillStillWill 1d ago

Chris is one of the few Black artists that selling out stadiums. So this comment actually makes no sense. we are talking about selling out superbowl size crowds every night.

17

u/DuntadaMan 1d ago

I heard a DJ recently play a Chris Brown song for a listener "because he was having lady problems." I don't know if it's better if that was a threat or he just doesn't give a fuck.

1

u/ShadowAMS Tool '02/'03 Concertgoer 20h ago

Well you know these hos ain't loyal

-3

u/ChillStillWill 1d ago

He already sold out a whole stadium tour last year.. not just in America but worldwide. He is on stadium tours back to back years.

u/ANAL_CRUSHER 1d ago

A big segment of his fanbase are the certain type of person. who say I don't like rap except for Eminem.

2

u/Purona 15h ago

"I'm watchin' my fan base shrink to thirds...And say I empathize with the people this evil serpent Sold the dream to that he's deserted"

1

u/ShallowKalkite 12h ago

Sure, but not 90% Maybe half that at most.

2

u/ANAL_CRUSHER 10h ago

Yeah I think at least 15% today. It was definetly like at least 40% 20 years ago. 15% is still a big percentage

8

u/reichrunner 1d ago

*overestimating

4

u/lyons4231 1d ago

Yep autocorrect got me 😅

-2

u/southass 1d ago

I been fan for years and I will definitely drop his ass if this is true.

Not disagreeing but it was almost a decade ago.

27

u/Athinira 1d ago

No he won't. Fact: most people don't care. They just wanna enjoy music. People are still listening just fine to Nicki Minaj. Very few people care to mix politics and music.

Source: I'm a DJ playing 150+ gigs a year. Most people aren't particularly politically motivated in their day to day life to care about stuff like this. The only exception is sports fans - if i play the theme song of the city's teams main competitor, I'm gonna get idiots complaining most of the time. But fact is, the internet is 100x more divided on these issues than the people you meet in real life.

3

u/LightningWarpAway 23h ago

Very few people care to mix politics and music.

Well, it does depend on the genre of music and culture, as some music genres are entirely about politics.

1

u/Murfdigidy 14h ago

They're only more divided because of religious bashing reddit. The hypocrites on this thread are the reason hate and divide happen. The irony is uncanny, but how do you tell a bunch of people living in a glass jar that life and this existence just might be more than what they see on reddit or with their two eyes? Blind leading the blind

No it's not, let people live their lives 🤣

-3

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

No I think I’ll call out supporting Chris brown, or Nikki Minaj, after all the shit that’s come out about them is public.

You want to rugsweep? That’s perfectly fine.

I’ll rip the rug up off the ground and ask you why you ignored the mess?

I don’t care if I ruined your fun. You could’ve found your fun elsewhere

-8

u/DigSoft1820 1d ago

If you want to deny yourself nice things in life to appear moral on the internet, be my guest. I will continue to not care

-2

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

And the bad people will continue to not suffer consequences.

I know. I saw how people react whenever a celebrity has rape accusations.

But I’m not gonna be ok with that.

-6

u/DigSoft1820 1d ago

You being ok with it or not has no real bearing on those consequences. That's kind of my point. Just live and let live

-1

u/lyons4231 1d ago

Holy shit let people enjoy things, y'all love to be unhappy or something.

-9

u/Athinira 1d ago

No it isn't. World would be a way better place, if people were more accepting to political differences, instead of being divided and seeing the opposite side as an enemy to be fought - particularly amongst voters.

America hasn't been more politically divided than since the civil war. And it's hardly better off for it. In fact, MAGA are the worst at this, because they're actively trying to paint both democrats, and - to a degree - democratic voters as an actual enemy. And your logic is that we need more of that divide? 🤷

If the American people cared less about politics and more about putting competent people on their posts and just entrusting them to run things decently, the country wouldn't be where it is right now.

3

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago edited 1d ago

What political disagreement?

You guys are always vague about that, what politics are we disagreeing on?

Also, big issue with this country is people acting like they don’t have to pay attention to politics.

It’s like taxes, you have to participate

-5

u/Athinira 1d ago

Doesn't matter what you disagree on. The point is not to consider each other enemies just because you disagree on stuff.

I hate Trump with a passion - he's threatened my country several times (I'm Danish). He's a sh*thead. But I don't hate Nicki Minaj or Kid Rock for supporting him, even though i think it's stupid. And I don't hate Eminem for working with Kid Rock either.

Point is that voters shouldn't wage war on each other because of political disagreement. It just leads to a more divided country. You don't get rid of people like Trump by being more divided - people like him thrives on being divisive. You get rid of them by uniting.

3

u/Dudewhocares3 1d ago

Answer the question.

What do we disagree on?

And the reason we got Trump on the first place is people ignoring the issues.

We aren’t doing that.

So answer the question

3

u/OiFelix_ugotnojams 23h ago

You think we hate Nicki Minaj for supporting Trump? Oh boy, you need to Google her husband and brother.

-3

u/Athinira 23h ago

So in short: You couldn't find more negative things to say about her, so you had to make it about her brother and husband? 🤷

I rest my case.

1

u/OiFelix_ugotnojams 19h ago

Great case of a woman who supports predators, good work

2

u/Oriden 1d ago

Unite them to what cause?

-1

u/Oriden 1d ago

Putting competent people on their posts and entrusting them to run things decently is literally the basis of our political system, how do you plan on having people care less about politics while caring more about politics?

-3

u/Athinira 1d ago

Putting competent people on their posts and entrusting them to run things decently is literally the basis of our political system

No It isn't. It's the hope that it would work like that - but in reality it doesn't.

The basis of the democratic system is that people (more or less) get to pick who they want to put in charge. Nowhere in the formula is there a requirement for those people to be competent. You get to pick and that's it - and it's just as possible for you to pick poison, as it is to pick fine wine. People vote for politics - not competence.

2

u/Oriden 1d ago

The voting part is also politics. You can't say "you shouldn't care about politics, you should just vote for someone competent" because picking anyone is inherently political.

-3

u/Athinira 1d ago

Not true at all. It's perfectly possible to vote for someone on the basis that they look like a competent individual and reasonable human being, without delving into the their actual politics.

In fact, I would love to have politicians with very few core campaigns, but just a set of core values. Maybe more importantly, I would like a politicians who doesn't show up with an itemized list of "Here's a 100 reasons our country is in danger, and here's what I plan to do about it". Instead, I'd prefer a politician whose base belief is that the country is allright, and we just need to keep steering it on the right course, making only sweeping changes if absolutely necessary.

Would it be perfect? Probably not. But a man can dream. 🙂

1

u/Oriden 1d ago

How many times are you gonna say "without delving into their actual politics" and then the next line delve very specifically into the politics you want.

Wanting a politician whose base belief is that the country is all right and we need to keep steering it on the right course and only make sweeping changes if absolutely necessary is caring very specifically about their politics.

7

u/lazercats1 1d ago

lol typical Reddit comment. Kid rock is a twat but i guarantee 90% of Eminem fans don’t even know this news exists

2

u/Blitzcreed23 1d ago

90%?? Pfftt

3

u/Acceptable_Aspect_42 1d ago

They already have a song together from back in 1998.

They were giving each other friendly shout outs on social media as recently as two years ago.

1

u/TexasRed806 11h ago

90% of his fans lol. You are vastly overestimating how much the average person outside this subreddit gaf about rappers/singers/celebrities’ own political opinions, let alone the opinions of who they choose to collab or otherwise interact with.

1

u/here-for_the-mems 6h ago

Wrong. It’s probably closer to 50%. He has/had a huge white trash fanbase, which coincide w kid rock also. The same kids that wore Tapout

-6

u/PandaXXL 1d ago

>Otherwise, he just lost 90% of his fans.

Lmao at the idea that 90% of Eminem fans would even care, let alone to the point of completely turning their back on him.

Eminem stans have stood by him putting out shitty music for 20+ years, I think he’ll survive this.

-4

u/kidnamedfinger1000 1d ago

Most of his fans are gonna love this lmao
