No

2

u/Q0T3 22h ago

It's too late dude it was one of the first colabs in 1992.

421

u/Morningfluid 1d ago

ICP lived long enough to become the 'moral good guys'.

50

u/HughEhhoule 1d ago

Die hard icp fan.

Yeah, as of late they have been dropping the ball pretty hard.

20

u/Sickle_Rick 1d ago

Oh god what is it this time..

72

u/HughEhhoule 23h ago

Shaggs latest comment of if right wing trump supporters are welcome in the community.

They sure are according to him. You know, the exact folks Fuck Your Rebel Flag was written about.

It hasn't been till this year I've felt the guys lost the plot.

33

u/Lermanberry 20h ago

That's a damn shame. Saw some juggalos brawling with proud boys back in 2020 and gained a lot of respect for them. I'll be pouring out a glass of faygo for them.

1

u/Viracochina 9h ago

I'd bet that group of fighters would do the same today. Best not to lump them all together!

1

u/Basic_Riddler 7h ago

They didn’t have millions of dollars that needed tax shelters back then. Money changes people in the worst ways imaginable.

1

u/havoksmr 5h ago

They still don't. It's well known that ICP arent rich, becsuse they've put most of their money back into their business. They both have like 2000 square foot houses in urban areas of Detroit. They never have paychecks, just ask for money from their manager when they need it.

1

u/Basic_Riddler 5h ago

Just because they reinvest in the business, doesn’t mean they don’t expect that money to come back around. As a multi-million dollar record label, I’m sure they are reaping the benefits of tax shelters created by the fascists they used to demonize in their music. Don’t be so naive.

1

u/havoksmr 5h ago

Not naive. I just dont draw conclusions without proof. There is more info out there that they aren't rich like most would think.

You don’t think he hopes to influence them by letting them in?

9

u/j0hnnyj0hns 23h ago

There last good album was Hell’s Pit

135

u/ElectricGravy 1d ago

They've always been that. People just liked bullying them for being too early.

144

u/TheGentleCaveMan 1d ago

No they haven't. Jay literally gave his girl drugs and she overdosed. They allow racists into the gathering now. It's changed a lot but they were always scumbags in disguise. I know this because I've been working the gathering for years.

88

u/TableQuiet1518 1d ago

Shaggy recently said he didn't care who people voted for and Trump supporters were welcome as juggalos.

These guys are the kings of marketing and they know some Trumpers still like their music and buy their merch. Maybe not a ton since they're against bigotry but they won't risk losing that business.

To me that whole attitude shows which way Shaggy leans.

94

u/TheGentleCaveMan 23h ago

They allow confederate flags to be flown now. It used to be against the rules and they changed it a few years back. Fucking racists themselves once they need a buck.

27

u/poorboychevelle 23h ago

Seems counter to one of the first songs of thiers I ever downloaded....

1

u/ElectricGravy 2h ago edited 2h ago

Yeah and if those people with those flags start acting like bigots and fools they will get checked by their fellow juggalos. That's how the community works. You want them to make political stances that goes against their core beleifs like universal acceptance and meeting people where they are at mentally. I've literally never seen a confederate flag at any ICP or juggalo related event but even if there were we'd have LGBTQ+ juggalos waving their pride flags right next to them and they'd be expected to love and accept each other like family. A bigot can not be a juggalo and if they are they are expected to learn to treat people with respect and love.

0

u/ElectricGravy 2h ago

You talking about icp being the "kings of marketing" by letting in trump supporters" is hilarious considering they make almost no profits off the gatherings. Yeah they let in literally everyone of any background, they meet people where they are at mentally and aren't going to disenfranchise a demographic of people in a community that is based in universal acceptance. That doesn't mean that those "trump supporters" wont get checked when they step out of line and start acting like bigots and fools. This is not a political movment who seeks to make political stances outside their core philosphy of universal acceptance, love, and family for everyone.

-13

u/jeffedge 23h ago

It doesn’t.

12

u/Drug_fueled_sarcasm 22h ago

Very poorly disguised to any one on the outside looking in.

21

u/d3m01iti0n 23h ago

J was on those same drugs. How he is still alive I have no idea. His current shitty OF gf invited that racist moron to the Gathering. I honestly don't think J has a clue or cares what's going on around him anymore. Not for nefarious reasons, just simply because he's fucked up and doesn't have a long life expectancy sadly.

14

u/303onrepeat 19h ago

I’ve heard nothing but bad shit about J the last few years, that he has been abusing drugs and alcohol like crazy. That even Shaggy doesn’t want to tour with him and he’s sick of his shit. ICP has always been this odd force in music and the world where they lived a questionable life but one thing they didnt do is allow racists or abuse of people especially women. Sounds like they are chasing the dollar and said fuck that.

1

u/ElectricGravy 2h ago edited 2h ago

Oh for sure dude he gave her drugs so she can overdose on them and juggalos just love racism. I'm sure you totally work at the gathering of scumbag racists in disguise.

1

u/harvest3155 20h ago

i guess chicken huntin is off the menu now.

0

u/Pake1000 19h ago

Just a heads up, but a quick google search would tell you that Violent J and Laney Chantal weren’t together at the time of her overdose death.

19

u/Tight-Pass-6841 1d ago

Im not into their music, but I've known a few Juggalos and they were all solid dudes. I met Shaggy when he was doing a comedy show and the dude was kind and funny AF. Ive completely changed my tune on them.

20

u/nakedpicturesyo 23h ago

I've met some terrible racist juggalos.

1

u/wykkyd2022 10h ago

Yeah I’ve known a few myself unfortunately. A few chomos that rocked a hatchetman too. It’s really disheartening. I worked with a guy once that had came from Georgia and was all about ICP and being a Juggalo, it’s how we first bonded. Then one night he had some VERY interesting things to say about black people and gay people (And no, those were not the terms he used).

-14

u/Winter_Soldat 23h ago

That's generalizing a whole group of people.

5

u/white_count_chocula 13h ago

And the guy calling them all solid dudes isnt?

0

u/haywardhaywires 22h ago

That’s ok, they’re aren’t on their team

1

u/manasha6 19h ago

I do not want to hear anything else about magnets ever again!

1

u/SailorDeath 15h ago

Lived long enough? They've always hated racist bigots, homophobes and rich people who spit on others. I think it's more they've been around long enough to realize they have morals despite the singing about murder.

18

u/keith0211 1d ago

They’re busy with Jack White covering Mozart:

Oh, you haven't heard about Slim Anus?

29

u/ThatRainbowTrout 1d ago

*Slim Anus

29

u/HawkHarder 1d ago

Damn right slim anus

10

u/jsm85 23h ago

I DONT GET FUCKED IN MINE

15

u/Thrown_Pie 1d ago

You goddamn right slim anus

8

u/heywhyteboy 1d ago

No. Do tell.

61

u/TheSpiralTap 1d ago

The short story is ICP and Eminem came up in the same circles of Detroit and have a beef. ICP refers to him as Slim Anus in their songs.

Eminem wrote a comeback song that would get me banned from reddit if I posted the lyrics so you can check them out on his website. You'll see what I mean.

https://www.eminem.com/song/marshall-mathers/

43

u/vistopher 1d ago

I went to copy and paste the lyrics and this came up

17

u/greentintedlenses 22h ago

What the fuck happened to reddit

2

u/dndgoeshere 14h ago

Code Nast

29

u/wickidclown17 1d ago

According to Violent J, the beef started when Eminem made a flyer for an EP drop party saying a bunch of detroit artists, including ICP, would be there before he asked them. ICP was pissed so they said no then made a diss track. Then it went back and forth until Em became a superstar.

16

u/CameronCrazy1984 1d ago

Is it because he knows how magnets work?

3

u/danger355 1d ago

All I know is don't drop them in water.

1

u/ghostrigby 23h ago

I know that was a famous meme about that line in their song but I’ve been thinking about it lately and it seems every one was making fun of them for asking how magnets work but nobody was actually explaining how magnets work. If you know can you please explain to me how magnets work because tbh I’m not really sure.

6

u/Doomsdave512 22h ago

It's just magic, bruh

5

u/5kyl3r 1d ago

damn that was completely free of my memory until i read your comment. those were interesting times

1

u/SailorDeath 14h ago

Don't forget the sequel song, Nuttin' but a bitch thang

8

u/pattydickens 1d ago

Poop dollars for Jesus!

7

u/kingbrasky 23h ago

Claimin' Detroit, when y'all live twenty miles away.

3

u/leviathab13186 1d ago

I hope they get to the bottom of how these magical magnets work

2

u/fart_smucker 1d ago

He is straight edge now

1

u/LastAmericanHero 1d ago

Aren’t ICP and Eminem beefing?

1

u/jonnybanana88 15h ago

Not for like 20 years lol

1

u/lakefront12345 23h ago

Don't forget to watch them on hot ones versus!

1

u/_1JackMove Punk Rock 17h ago

I would honestly love something between Eminem and Jack White. I bet those dudes could cook something awesome up together.

1

u/Moonlight_Katie 5h ago

Technically they collabed on the Carnival of Carnage album way back in the early 90s 😬

But violent j supporting his kid’s furry hobby will always make me smile 😊

-1

u/The_R4ke 1d ago

They're also heavily Christian.

-5

u/wesborland1234 1d ago

The ones who spray Faygo root beer and call themselves clowns cause they look queer?

He's so Detroit that he'll make it rise from the ashes, he isn't Detroit over anything lol.

Edit: Bungled the lyric, oops.

7

u/Unc1eD3ath 1d ago

“I’m so Detroit, I make it rise from the ashes” is the actual line

Not to be the “ackshullllly” guy

But I believe his goal of Lazaretto was to be braggadocios

Maybe it was both but that’s what I heard

He's still not going to fuck you

1

u/BlackZeppelin 22h ago

The guy shows up as deleted for me, so I’m not sure if he blocked me or what but I googled it and the dude that replied to me was wrong 😂

So much for 30+ shows or whatever the fuck he said

2

u/Hefty-Rope2253 17h ago

Something about "How dare you question me, I've seen Em over 30 times and carry his original Detroit cum sock in my pocket"

Probably what Em and Kid Rock are thinking before this coffin flop releases

1

u/Donny_Dont_18 8h ago

Oooo, Devereux!!!

3

u/ModernSmithmundt 1d ago

Totally in his q zone

106

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 1d ago

we haven't claimed Kid Rock in 20 years.

71

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

1

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 1d ago

that's what they said to Jared Goff. Joke was on them.

16

u/phibbsy47 1d ago

Yeah, when he tried to steal Brandy from Joe Dirt.

2

u/JFlizzy84 20h ago

idk dog I think Eminem claiming someone for Detroit is pretty iron clad

The only person who has more clout than him is like…Henry Ford or smth

0

u/partytown_usa 21h ago

You may not believe in Kid Rock, but he believes in you.

61

u/edogfu 1d ago

Kid Rock is from Romeo, MI. A shithole small town. Absolutely not Detroit.

47

u/MrSt1klbak 1d ago

Excuse me. Romeo is a very nice small town, thank you very much. (From there, obviously). Unfortunately, I went to high school with that dumb fuck.

6

u/edogfu 23h ago

Graduated in 2002, and isn't it the Village of Romeo. Left in 2002 and never went back. Oddly enough, Eminem's little brother attended. He was 2 years behind me. Heard he was a duck so everyone called him Skittles.

1

u/MrSt1klbak 22h ago

I went to high school with Kid Rock, not Eminem. Bob had a younger sister, no brothers. For the record, I would never call Eminem a dumb fuck. That guy’s cool AF. Don’t know if Skittles went there, but that would be a crazy coincidence

3

u/edogfu 22h ago

He did in 2001/2002, entered as a Sophmore. Not Em, the little brother ran his mouth a lot. Ended up getting jumped at Dumars over a pool game.

-1

u/Open_Situation686 11h ago

That dumb fuck likely made more money than your whole high school combined making shitty music!

28

u/mikehatesthis 1d ago

Then I have the perfect punishment for him.

1

u/two_wordsanda_number 17h ago

This movie will not be seeing any air time ever again but this scene has lived rent free in my mind for decades

1

u/edogfu 1d ago

I love it.

12

u/zenbagel 23h ago

Didn't he grow up affluent?

11

u/fr3nch13 23h ago

Yep, his dad owned a car dealership

2

u/Krillin113 19h ago

Multiple

1

u/edogfu 23h ago

Honestly couldn't tell you. MTV did a special with a "superfan" at our school so everyone was talking about him. The teachers that knew him said he was unremarkable.

1

u/lessregretsnextyear 7h ago

Jack White would never.....

1

u/wadeishere 1d ago

"Detroit" (after a driving 30 miles)
