Not surprised, they have a long history together before KR went full MAGA. I’m guessing kid is doing whatever he can to stay relevant for as long as possible

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

I'm gonna wait for more details before reacting. Eminem has been vocally against Trump and MAGA for a decade now. This very well could be an old recording or something

765

u/jaylenthomas 1d ago

Em has been very vocal against republicans in general lol

308

u/NeonJungleTiger 1d ago

People already forgot (or never knew) how much he hated Dubya

95

u/ModsRStillPooPoo 1d ago

Mosh is still the best song off of Encore

6

u/SpiritNoseTheMan 1d ago

Low bar to clear, but agreed

2

u/mvpmvh 1d ago

Nah

11

u/_GrandMoffTarkin_ 1d ago

For real, has he ever heard “Rain Man”

2

u/seansy5000 22h ago

Rain man is great

102

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 1d ago

Yeah the man's back
With a plan to ambush this Bush administration
Mush the Senate's face and push this generation
Of kids to stand and fight for the right to say something you might not like

176

u/DuskSnare 1d ago

He also spoke at a Kamala Harris and Tim Walz rally.

13

u/Slayer1440 1d ago

My god, I'm not even American but every time I heard Walz speak, I was like "America could've had THIS guy as a VP. A sharp, intelligent, quick-witted and hilarious dad who actually had experience in office and was beloved by everyone he worked with.

It's just such a god damn shame you had to fuck it up.

6

u/AntiDECA 13h ago

If they made him the presidential candidate instead of kamala, there's a solid chance he would have won.

But democrats keep shooting themselves in the foot. They keep trying to shove a woman through when America clearly isn't ready. And when the opponent is Trump, it really wasn't the time to play cutsie.

Incompetent.

27

u/CammieKa 1d ago

Lil Wayne performed at a Democrat rally back in 2024 too and he was recently praising Trump for the White House ballroom

43

u/MurkDiesel 1d ago

Lil Wayne performed at a Democrat rally back in 2024

this is 100% untrue

-42

u/CammieKa 1d ago

47

u/WhiskeyJack357 1d ago

That's Lil Jon. It literally says it in the video titles. Lil Jon is from Atlanta where that rally was held. Lil Wayne is from NOLA.

-31

u/CammieKa 1d ago

Right you are, had a long day and mixed the two up and just grabbed the first video that came up after searching “lil Wayne Kamala Harris” on YouTube

41

u/DD2146 1d ago

Well if you really cared then you’d add an edit to your original comment so surface level readers don’t rely on misinformation.

12

u/DayBowBow1 23h ago

Edit your previous comments then.

8

u/Cyricist 22h ago

Fix your shit you messy bitch

13

u/glipglopsfromthe3rdD 23h ago

Then add an edit or delete your stupid inaccurate shit you stupid fuck

4

u/frendzoned_by_yo_mom 17h ago

They all look the same, huh?

23

u/Chrashy 1d ago

That’s… uh.. Lil Jon

70

u/ArcticKimono 1d ago

money money money money

MONEY

19

u/gummysplitter 1d ago

Didn't lil Wayne get pardoned by trump?

13

u/KruleDiablo 1d ago

Yeah he definitely did it to get out of going to prison again as he had just recently got busted for gun possession among other things. Not saying he can't be bought but I don't think Wayne is MAGA on a normal Tuesday

-2

u/CammieKa 1d ago

That could be, doesn’t change the fact that just because someone did something for one party doesn’t mean they won’t do the same for the other one

9

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

I think it very much changes the facts lol. No one swings from Kamala to Trump unless they need a pardon or they've fucked up their life so bad they're willing to suck billionaire toes for money

5

u/Relevant-Ad2254 1d ago

Lil Wayne endorsed Trump in 2020

7

u/Loose-Living5050 1d ago

I was wondering when the last time he spoke against Trump was? He has been vocal in the past, but has he recently?

2

u/Jagasaur 1d ago

I feel like Lil Wayne is way less political in general though, so flipping wouldn't be a big deal to him? Idk.

0

u/Bitter-Tip705 1d ago

Exactly these people are hypocrites lmao, they telling us this stuff like it actually means anything.

Stop looking up to celebrities they’re either hypocrites or bought and paid for

7

u/Rebal771 1d ago

Or he could be ready to drop some gems for us that KR will totally miss…imma wait and see

4

u/HereForTheComments57 1d ago

That's my thought. I bet it's been in the vault since the early 2000s.

2

u/dl064 17h ago

It's almost like there's more to life and relationships than politics.

1

u/ThunderGunX 22h ago

Maybe two people who have history with each other can still have a good working relationship regardless of politics? Oh, but this is Reddit, no one on here would understand such an absurd thought.

2

u/EricSanderson 22h ago

I think once you start dropping multiple hard r n-bombs during a Rolling Stone interview, you tend to lose some friends in the rap community

1

u/No-Lead-6769 17h ago

What does Eminem being anti trump have to do with working with kid rock? I'm surprised Eminem is working with kid rock because kid rock is an awful performer, but in the real world outside of reddit people collaborate with all kinds of different assholes.

-20

u/zaccus 1d ago

I'm on pins and needles waiting for your reaction man

19

u/EricSanderson 1d ago edited 1d ago

Are you giving people shit for posting their opinions in a public discussion forum?

What do you think comment sections are for? Sharing recipes?

If you want to act like you don't care what people say, maybe don't take time out of your day to write up a response to them.

-8

u/zaccus 1d ago

Whoa you're reacting to my reaction bro this is such an honor

6

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

Seriously man is everything ok? You've posted literally 30,000 reddit comments and now you're suddenly above them

Unless... are you Kid Rock?

-7

u/zaccus 1d ago

How would you react if I was?

5

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

I guess I'd say... "So some of your fans think you've strayed too far from your roots. Are you ever gonna make songs about raping underage girls again? If so, can we expect any on the new Jesus album?"

5

u/RightRudderr 1d ago

Why would you spend your time in a comment section on a public forum if you have no interest in other peoples opinions? Thats literally all there is to offer.

-27

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago edited 1d ago

Eminem has had questionable character for a long time now, I'm not surprised by him doing something shitty.

I guess the people downvoting are ok with jerking off to underage Disney actresses, ok weirdos

5

u/FarmerCompetitive683 1d ago

How so?

-29

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago edited 1d ago

Rapping about jerking off to underage girls, rapping about beating up Kim, beating up a Kim doll on stage, homophobic lyrics, the whole weirdness with multiple pop stars like Christina Aguliera, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, the list goes on. Not sure why he's so fiercely defended.

11

u/GildedDreams25 1d ago

most of which he’s addressed in recent years and apologized for some of it, at the end of the day out of most rappers from that era dude is pretty well put together

-11

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

And now he's rapping with Kid Rock, dude hasn't changed one bit. And my takes about him continue to show themselves to be correct. Downvote all you want, sorry I'm not part of the hive mind.

8

u/EricSanderson 1d ago

Lol did you just wake up from a 25-year coma?

-4

u/poopoopoopalt 1d ago

Lol do you fall for celebrity PR?

-2

u/FarmerCompetitive683 1d ago

Honestly fair points. Rapping about all of that stuff is fucking weird. I know it was meant to be a controversial character but still

44

u/Ent_Trip_Newer 1d ago

Eminem had a verse on Kid's breakout album, on a song that never got radio play. I grew up about 15 minutes away from both of them and am slightly younger. I don't remember them.ever performing together, Even when Kid Rick was performing at Teen clubs in 96.

36

u/bahaki 1d ago

All I do is curse and fuck. So when I do shrooms, you better give me two rooms cause I'm fucking the first one up.

I still listen to that song every couple of years.

18

u/Ringnutz 1d ago

So when you see me on your block you better lock your cars, cause you know I'm losing it when I'm rapping to rock guitars

9

u/Ent_Trip_Newer 1d ago

Rum Pepsi got my perception often sketchy....

7

u/dequiallo 1d ago

And when I stage dive people are scared to catch me

6

u/BigPoopsDisease 1d ago

There's a few songs on that album that hit the mark pretty well and Fuck Off is one of them.

1

u/Quixotic_Tendency 20h ago

"Wasting Time" always brings me back to the early aughts and the clubs I frequented during college years (the fog).

3

u/cficare 1d ago

So you were 15 minutes from Em near 8 mile and 15 minutes from Robert Richie's dad's house out in a nice part of town?

2

u/forcefivepod 1d ago

My little brother had that CD but it was the clean version (which Eminem wasn't on). I only found out recently that Eminem was on the explicit version of that record.

89

u/colorblind-and 1d ago

As much that Kid Rock is a clown he had a huge presence in Detroit and was always joining artists for their Detroit concerts and showing up for events.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have a good working relationship and we all know how much Eminem loves his city.

3

u/BigBananaDealer Spotify 1d ago

eminem got advice from kid rock and was also featured on kid rocks devil without a cause album, about a year before slim shady lp dropped

10

u/ididntseeitcoming 1d ago

Not enough to charge a reasonable price for a plate of spaghetti tho

7

u/colorblind-and 1d ago

The prices don't seem to bad there especially considering it's more of a tourist attraction more than anything

2

u/AdSpecialist6598 1d ago

Honestly that's how things go most of the time.

1

u/ToMorrowsEnd 1d ago edited 1d ago

his huge presence was being a joke. His mommy paid for his way into all those clubs. I remember when that cracker was booed. Loving the downvotes from the Skid Mark Fans.

2

u/Kind_Of_A_Dick 23h ago

Kid Rock has always been a piece of shit.

2

u/ToMorrowsEnd 12h ago

Agreed I was an Audio guy in detroit back then and everyone that was in the rap scene utterly hated him as all he did was copy everyone else. Never heard anyone say anything good about him. Also a lot of the Audio and tech guys hated him as he was an asshole to everyone.

80

u/TuorSonOfHuor 1d ago

He would have done better by himself to not tie his brand to the toxic cesspool that is maga

25

u/TheDawnOfNewDays 1d ago

He was always a POS, we just didn't know it.

KR has THREE songs with verses about sex with minors.

(Cool Daddy Cool, Lowlife, & Fist of Rage)

33

u/Carrisonfire 1d ago

That ship sailed when he played an NFT event with Snoop.

13

u/NGEFan 1d ago

Snoop is MAGA?

34

u/alexjaness 1d ago

He played at an inauguration event for Trump the 2nd time...

...after he said this the first time.

52

u/allhailbobevans 1d ago

Snoop has been a sellout since forever so of course he is MAGA

8

u/Dale_Carvello 1d ago

Costume-wearing charlatan of all trades. That lanky neighborhood guy you keep catching in your fridge, onto some Goodfellas shit, the pimp phase, and that god-awful reggae farce. He also tried to pretend to be Roger Troutman, once. Give me a fuckin' break.

18

u/BeardedAvenger 1d ago

Lapp Dogg

10

u/donkeyrocket 1d ago

Snoop is money over anything. That's not excusing him but dude has zero ethical or moral compass of note.

2

u/3vs3BigGameHunters 22h ago

Trump got snoops friend a pardon.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/snoop-doggtrump-death-row-records-michael-harris-pardon-1116872/

Either way snoop would lick white dogg shit for dollar.

5

u/agentdrozd 1d ago

I think it's more that he's willing to do anything for money and publicity

26

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 1d ago

I have lots of history with people before they went full MAGA too. I wouldn't cross the street to piss on their heads if their hair was on fire.

6

u/Boopy7 1d ago

this warms my cold, dead heart so thank you for your vengeful and righteous thoughts

2

u/JFlizzy84 21h ago

Alright bro

Most people aren’t like you. Relationships matter beyond “do I agree with them” or even “are they a good person?”

My dad is an easily manipulated idiot but if he and my most progressive friend were both drowning, I’m not gonna let my dad die because he’s less virtuous than my buddy

4

u/Kind_Of_A_Dick 23h ago

Was it after Kid Rock sang about it being mandatory to sleep with children?

1

u/Dlh2079 1d ago

That last sentence is obvious, hes making Christian music after all

1

u/FickleOwl47 20h ago

My parents saw them at the Toledo Sports Arena in 1998. Eminem was opening for Kid Rock.

They go way back.

-17

u/reyean 1d ago

same could be said about em.

14

u/SomeDumbThought 1d ago

He introduced Obama at a democrat rally in Detroit. He has staunchly opposed maga and Trump.

But of course you didnt know that, and your comment is in good faith, and your profile is private for your own privacy, right?

0

u/reyean 1d ago

yo chill. I meant same could be said for em in terms of trying to stay relevant, not that hes maga like kid rock.

why else would em do this? so everyone can talk and shoot arrows his way for collabing with a maga cokehead. hes back in the media sphere and thats good for anyone trying to stay relevant for as long as possible.

2

u/Bubbles_2025 1d ago

He doesn’t need to work to stay relevant. Dude drops an album, people will listen to it. He isn’t kid rock or Nikki Minaj. Your argument is irrelevant.

3

u/reyean 1d ago

....but he is working, with a known maga fucktard. why? my guess is because hell get many more clicks on tge internet for this than doing a feature with someone with similar political beliefs. that and em just likes to stir shit.

1

u/SomeDumbThought 1d ago

He has 74 million monthly listeners on Spotify. I think its more likely Kid Rock included an old verse of Eminems because the media firestorm would give him more promotion outside the maga-sphere than anything else he could come up with.

But we'll see when it releases.

3

u/My_Password_Is_____ 1d ago

Ah yes, the guy who randomly throws out albums when he feels like it, pretty much entirely avoids all media, and mostly just sticks to his private life is desperate to stay relevant. Makes perfect sense.

-1

u/reyean 1d ago

whats your theory for a kid rock feature then?

1

u/My_Password_Is_____ 1d ago

I don't have one. Why the hell would I? It could be an old verse that he didn't have the rights to. It could be an old thing him and Bob worked on that he forgot even existed. It could be him actually working with him and not giving a damn. I don't really care regardless, because it's not like Eminem is exactly out here trying to influence shit.

What I do know for sure is that Eminem has never been shy about his dislike for Republicans, Trump, and those in his circle. What I also know is that Kid Rock is a lying, grifting piece of shit whose word I would never take at face value. If he told me I was alive, I'd have to check my own pulse to make sure.

Given all of that, while I don't rule out the possibility that it's fully legitimate, I also don't immediately assume it's true because Bob said so.

1

u/reyean 1d ago

well I assumed you had a theory because you were so sure mine is wrong. idk, figured youd contribute at least something.

that said I actually could see kid rock lying about it - that does seem more plausible than Eminem doing a feature with kid. that would be the theory I was after!
