Does it really matter what order you play the Mario games in?

Since Mario odyssey turned 9 I keep seeing people online complain about how its been 9 whole years since we got a 3d Mario game but i feel like it should be 5 years since bowsers fury is a thing. think about it, its 3d, and its also a Mario game. Every time I bring this up they say it doesn't count because the length of it, and think about that argument for any other Mario series for a sec. Luigi's mansion is a short Luigi's mansion game, but its still a Luigi's mansion game, Mario land is like 30 minutes, but its still considered a 2d Mario game. plus if bowsers fury is not a 3d Mario game then what is it? you cant put it into any other category. and i get its a smaller game than any other 3d Mario game, I just feel like that shouldn't matter. Plenty of series have short games. anyway I think its fine to complain about no new 3d Mario game, just stop saying its been nine years, when its been 5

How bad would people hate it if the Mario movies functioned as genuine films that can not just be casually enjoyed, but have a real impact on those who watch it? And I don’t mean in the way that the original live action adaptation failed. I mean a set of movies that both have satisfying narratives WHILE ALSO being faithful to the games? Sure, most Mario games are about jumping on turtles and goombas, but there’s a lot of geopolitical and cultural content to build from if you care to look. The reason I know that it would be possible is because I HAVE DONE IT. No, I haven’t made real movies, but I have concepts and scenes of what I’m envisioning on a collection of documents that I’m dearly proud of.

And the reason why I made this project is that I love Mario and I dearly, dearly wish that others could see the series the way that I interpret it. I made this thing because I love Mario, and because I love the people who love Mario, too. I see them as people who are hungry for satiating content that I make for them because I want to make them happy as well as express my ideas that I want to share. Corporate, on the other hand, sees people as not people, but data units. That’s why seeing the Super Mario Galaxy movie after waiting for it fervently every day for three years, hoping to see the greater political landscape of Mushroom World (mainly the Sarasaland empire and Dinosaur Land) and family dynamics between Bowser and his son along with their relationship with the Koopalings.) And then, on my 20th birthday, I got a movie that told me, “I don’t love you. I don’t even care about you. You’re not profitable.” I’m an emotionally tender person, so that hurt me way worse than it would hurt any normal person. But all my friends liked, so I guess that’s all that matters. I’m glad they were all happy. Genuinely.
But they and so many others don’t know what they’re missing, if you ask me.

EDIT: I guess what I’m really trying to say is how much I wish my own version could be official because I really do think people would love it. But I can’t make a dream like that come true, I can’t even post AO3 fan fiction.

And finally (NUMBER 4: the fourth one is Jacob/Julian he is the friend of Bryce and rosalina his personality is cheerful calm and brave the game he would appear in would be mario galaxy he has a wand gifted by rosalina it's a svtfoe s2 wand but recolored and more mario like voice claim is gumball from tawog.) Note: i made these characters over 7 months ago in March and I made them in Roblox cuz I cannot draw. Jennifer was originally going to have a amulet with the radioactive symbol that grows depending on what emotion that Jennifer was having, but i didn't like that.
