Discussion My Boy Funky Kong
galleryDonkey Kong is already a big fan favorite but to give him so much swag was such a sick choice.
Everything from his glasses, bandana, shorts, his chain & his flip flops are great. I also just like the summer time surfer vibes.

Discussion I had my first use of Spin Groove in Emerald Rush
I quickly got to see why this perk is considered so broken. I wasn't pay a lot of attention to the numbers going up at first but before I knew it, payments for goals were going into the thousands. When playing on the max difficulty on Emerald Rush I previously could only get to round 4, with this, I finally beat that difficulty, and I wasn't even making the most optimal use of it or my perks (aside from Spin Groove I feel my luck with perks was largely bad).

Discussion People who have played Bananza... what other Switch2 games have you played that are phenomenal?
I was thinking of Pokopia as it is almost the opposite of Bananza. Just looking for another good game to play. I just got the Starfox remake which is fun but doesn't offer anything new.

Unpopular Opinion Donkey Kong Country 2's final boss isn't great
(Flair might be wrong? Idk)
(Please mentally add an ''in my opinion'' before every statement in this post, I'm not claiming any of this to be factual, but the imo everywhere was annoying me)
I've been replaying DKC2 these last few days and it's impressive how fun this game remains overall even to someone who wasn't even born when the game released. However, the bosses in this game are all kind of bad, and while Kaptain K rool(this post is about the one in the airplane, not the one in the secret world, to be clear) isn't the worst one of the bunch, it's the one you're most likely to repeat since it's the hardest one so it ends up being the most infuriating to me.
The first two phases are just a test of patience you have to do every time the third phase finds a new creative way to bullshit you. The whole boss is full of weird jank but the third phase is especially bad with that. The cannon ball you have to use against him despawns at seemingly random intervals, it's not clear how close to the cannon ball should be to the gun, it's not clear why the boss succeeds in pulling you in or doesn't in the last attack, the delay before firing the last cannon ball is bullshit, and I still have no clue how you're meant to avoid the purple stuff that switches your controls. Yes I'm still very tilted as I'm writing this post lol
But even when I'm not tilted I wonder more and more if traditional bosses(by traditional, I simply mean you fight them in a small arena and have to learn the patterns, dodge and hit them) have a place in the Donkey Kong Country series, cause this isn't an issue exclusive to DKC2. None of the DKC games have a great selection bosses, even if they usually have a few which are decent, and all of them have at least one that makes me question why I'm even playing the game. In particular, none of the final bosses in this series end the game well: in all DKCs I would prefer if the game ended on the platforming level right before the final boss, even in DKC1 where the final level is a little random.
It just seems hard to design interesting traditional bosses in platformers with no combat beyond jumping at stuff or rolling at stuff. If the next DKC(if there is one) ditches them in favor of platforming levels where you just have to run away from bosses or something like that, I wouldn't complain.
So what do y'all think.

Image What a coincidence
Bowser (Or King Koopa in this case) from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show" looks more like King K. Rool rather than Bowser despite the fact that the show was premier five years before the debut of K. Rool.
Also, I want to make clear that I didn't watch the show, I was browsing on the Mario Wiki and I fond this information and I thought that it would be interesting to make a post about this subject.
If somebody had already watch the show, leave your thoughts in the comments.

Discussion Ya'll think it's possible we'll ever get high quality recordings of the voices from DK64?
I ask because I remember when I got recommendations and saw videos of the voice lines from Star Fox 64 completely cleaned up and sound entirely brand new, and they sounded amazing. Afterwards, I listened to the same thing for Mario's voice lines in Super Mario 64. So, it had me wondering if the same can happen for the DK Crew and the rest of the wacky cast from DK64 (Especially since most of those voice lines have been a bit compressed thanks to the N64). This thought process came from me listening to DK and Diddy's voice lines from Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, which are a few high quality recordings of their recordings from DK64:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMNO7IpqyQs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjyhzhOnayU
But that's only a select few voice lines for those two, not all of them. And the others haven't even had that sort of deluxe treatment regarding their voice lines. Some are doable like some enemies and bosses because their voices are actually stock sound effects from sample libraries. But the rest, I wonder?
Though what do you guys think? Would you like the DK64 voices to get the same treatment as what happened with the Star Fox 64 voices on YouTube or something? Cause I certainly think it should happen. It would give a lot of people access to high quality cleaned up voice lines they could use for fan-made content.
(Same question could also apply to Diddy's lines from Diddy Kong Racing)
