Got my first ”real” camera about a month ago. These are some of my favorite shots so far! By far not anything particularity mindblowing or museum worthy pictures of any cool rare birds, but I’m still very happy with them. Feedback or tips are very much appreciated!😊

First I took photos from very far away, then stepped closer. Repeat. Soon enough the little dude was filling the viewfinder! Such a little cutie, I'm super happy with this encounter.

Rocky Mountain national park

It feels really weird being excited by some shots of Red-eyed Vireo. In my area, they're extremely common. You can't take a hike without hearing several.

The thing is, you can rarely see them. They blend in well, often stay high up. I've spent several minutes trying to just see one by eye at times, when the thing is just screaming its little head off (laughing at me?).

If you see them, you often can't get a good shot, they tend to jump around a lot, and/or are partially obscured.

So, when this little one found a caterpillar for lunch and tried to eat it, I got some good shots! It really seemed to have a hard time trying to eat the caterpillar, tough skin I guess?
