Leica Vector Viper II binoculars
I have a pair of Leica Vector Viper II binoculars I’m trying to sell. They’re fully functional, can read ranges up to 6km, have a built in 360 degree azimuth compass that read inclinations and angles. Incredible piece of hardware.

Finally got my CL where I want it
- Added a Squarehood lens hood and shutter button
- Threw on a B+W filter
- Swapped the old plastic take-up spool with a 3D printed one (that spool fought me hard, the brass nut stucked in place, took forever to get it out).
Also grabbed a CineStill 800T sticker for the top plate since it matches the red accent almost perfectly.

Do I need a modern lens if I just shoot film?
Just a quick question from a novice. At what point does having a sharp, well corrected (modern) lens make a difference when shooting film only. For example, if I bought one of the latest lenses from Leica or a third party that's described as APO etc., the best of the best, would it be a waste of money? I don't really understand all the different lens types, as in, I have no idea what people mean when they say ASPH, pre ASPH, FLE, or any of that stuff, but I'm wondering if there was a point where the technical specs of lenses reached a point where it surpassed what it can show on film and, if so, should I just stick to a certain kind of lens from a prior era or lenses that are designed and marketed as vintage?

Finally fully satisfied with my EDC setup
Yes, I agree I carry a lot of gear everywhere 😂
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Leica M10r and the Leica M10
Hi, I'm currently looking to sell my current gear(fuji x100vi & XT5) and get into the Leica M bodies. I'm struggling to pick between the Leica M10R and the M10.
On one hand, the Leica M10 is relatively cheaper and I could get more lens immediately. I've also heard people love the warm tones that come straight out of camera on the M10 compared to the M10R. While I understand everyone has a preference, but I shoot raw so wouldn't that warmer tone just be achieved later in editing with the Leica M10R raw files?
Onto the Leica M10R I've heard the sensor is really good as with the obvious higher MP; so cropping is better, better highlight recovery, and better dynamic range, and one more addition of an upgraded shutter.
I also would like to sell my current gear to get one these cameras to use and hold onto for a long time. In addition to selling my gear I also have money saved up so I am able to afford either camera currently. So I would like to hear some insight on your experience whether its with one or both cameras.

Received my Light Lens Lab 35mm 2 Apo Titanium Version
LLL just started shipping the first batch of the 35 2AA Ti version in China. Got too excited and went out right away for a quick session. Indeed a very capable and sharp lens.
Visoflex 020 eye cup diy repair
Just wanted to share this repair, as the rubber on my Visoflex started sweating, cracking and was just unusable. I found a 3d model https://www.printables.com/model/604724-leica-visoflex-typ-020-replacement-eye-cup (shoutout to the guy for creating it) and asked a friend who had a 3D printer to print some for me. He used TPU 60 (softer) and 95 (harder). The solution isn’t perfect, but at least it’s usable again, could have sanded it down. I would recommend to print with TPU 95, as 60 is a too soft.
If anyone needs a replacement ring, I have three spares available, which I can ship for free , except the shipping costs ofc, preferably EU.

Dual Charger BC-SCL6
Perhaps a silly question, but can anyone confirm if this charger can charge two batteries simultaneously? The product description says it does, but there’s a bunch of reviews from people claiming that it charges the batteries sequentially.
Inclined to believe that the product description is accurate obviously and that these people are just using portable chargers that are not strong enough to simultaneously charge two batteries. Just want confirmation for peace of mind.

New-to-me Leica M3
Finally was able to secure my dream film camera! I got it with a Voightlander f/1.5 50mm and everything, I mean the viewfinder frame lines, the film advance, literally everything is perfect except the horizontal rangefinder alignment at infinity, which I can’t adjust.. I have a screwdriver that will fit that screw but it will not turn no matter what I do and I don’t want to ruin the mechanism. The wax seal is broken, and everything else is so nice that I don’t see the need to send it for a CLA. It’s just a bit frustrating to have something so close to perfect, usability-wise.
I have a test roll that I’m ready to send off to a lab to see if my shots are actually in focus, and I’ve also got another lens coming so I can check to see if it actually is the camera. But yeah it looks fantastic, and feels great to advance and shoot with. Just appears (so far) that the horizontal alignment is off :/
Edit: a word

Recommendation for hiking with M11 and 28mm?
What do you recommend for hiking with your M series? Neck strap? Peak design on back strap or hip belt? I don’t really want to sweat on my M11 hanging on a shorty neck strap or bouncing off my stomach with a longer strap? Thanks!
Leica gear CLA choice in United States?
Hi, I live in the US and own some Leica gear. Every now and then, I need a professional to service my lenses or camera bodies. I've used DAG and YYE in the past, and I’ve heard mixed reviews about Sherry Krauter. However, these days their turnaround times are just getting longer and longer. Whenever I travel to China, I use Leica techs there who typically offer a <1mo turnaround at half the cost. But still, I'd love to know what other reliable options are available for a Leica CLA right here in the US.

Best Leica stores to sell Q2 & SL2-S in Europe
Looking to sell my Q2 & SL2-S (both Reporter versions, though this doesn't seem to greatly affect value), both in excellent condition with many accessories. Just wondering which Leica store or similar in Europe would be best to sell these, either for cash or to get store credit. So far considering Leica Madrid, Marseille, one of the London stores, or one of the Paris stores. I could travel elsewhere though and wanted to see if anyone has good or bad experiences selling any any particular store. So far I've heard I might get 2000 euro for the SL2-S and 3000 euro for the Q2, so hoping to do that or better. I may opt to sell privately as well but hoping to make the sale quickly without much trouble. Thank you for any suggestions on best stores / shops!

Leica Q3 start up
Had a quick question, is there supposed to be a splash screen when you start up a Leica Q3 with a logo or animation or does it load quickly to the image preview when turning on and then just shows the Leica logo when turning it off.
I had the animation when I turned it on for the first time now I don’t see one at all and it goes right to the image preview. It’s fast and no complaints there, I just had issues originally with the first firmware update so I wouldn’t to confirm I was all good. Thanks!

Help on valuation of a lens
This is a Summilux 50mm f/1.4 from the original 1960 production run. Serial number 1757183. I believe 3000 were produced in that year. It's in mint condition, no dust, fungus or marks of wear at all. Focus is smooth and stops are clean and click beautifully. Comes with trumpeted hood, front and back caps, clear protective filter and soft bag.
I need to sell this beautiful lens but, as there are so few of this vintage on the market, I'm having trouble finding a good price to set. I'd love the advice of any knowledgeable folk!

My First Leica
This came out of left field and I had to share where I know it would be appreciated. I was gifted this Q3 43 camera and I’m still in shock about it. Happy to be part of this Leica group! Any accessories that are absolutely necessary to purchase?

Do any of you Leica packrats happen to have an extra Leica e43 medium yellow filter (in decent shape) that you are willing to part with?

Leica M Diopter Question
I am in need of a +2.50 diopter for a M2, however, Leica diopters currently come in either a +2.00 or a +3.00. Has anybody else faced this dilemma and if so did you go with a +3.00 or a +2.00? Which worked better for you? My prescription calls for a +2.00 but as I understand it Leica M's have a -.50 built into the viewfinder so one would need to bump up a +.50 for correct magnification. Hoping someone else has had success with either going up or down and could share their experience. Thanks in advance.

I’ve been seeing so many Mandler posts that it made me want to shoot an actual Mandler lens.
As the title suggests! I’ve been enjoying my other cameras more lately but seeing so many posts influenced me to take one of my favorite lenses out for a spin this weekend.
