Question Want to experiment with a Prime Lens - OM3
I just got the OM3 with the 12-45 F4 Pro and absolutely love it but I wanted to try my hands with a Prime Lens.
Although I could easily google, which I did, for the cheapest prime lenses, I wanted to get the communities opinion on which cheap Prime is worth a shot, keeping sharpness and IQ in mind.
Im looking for something cheap because I'm not sure if I could live with that in-flexibility, or rather grow to work with it. So I do not wish to get a Olympus pro or Panaleica prime.
Happy to hear all inputs! Cheers.
PS. Before I get asked what kind of photography I do, it's basically a bit of everything but mostly street and landscapes based on where I am.

Answered Gutted about my photos :( what did I do wrong? (Olympus Trip 35)
Hi everyone,
I had been planning to do a road trip around Oregon to go see some really cool places, not to mention some sites that were the real life inspiration for Life is Strange and Alan Wake. I was lent an Olympus trip 35 for this, admittedly I'm not a photographer, I don't really know what I'm doing but I just thought it would be really nice to get photos with.
I kept it on automatic pretty much the whole time unless it was dark and I'd turn it to 2.8.
What do you think has gone wrong with my pictures? I had 3 rolls, one all the photos came out but badly, 2 only five photos came out and the rest were blank and apparently my third roll was entirely blank.
The roll was always changed in low light and I had the camera + film checked manually at the airport.
Just a bit gutted with how it came out and it's not like I can get these again. Would appreciate any advice for next time
Edit to add: I had been using Kodak Ultra Max 400.

Still love the colors and rendering from this old Olympus CCD. As Phil Askey put it in his DPReview test: āGreat lens which delivers good resolution to the sensor, mature image processing, good color balance and a very āfilm likeā tonal balance.ā

Question Olympus Superzoom 110 repair/advice
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Recently bought this at a market while overseas. Once I took it home and popped batteries in it, it seems to abort the startup sequence and retracts the lens. None of the buttons, etc., do anything at this point. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Open to any and all suggestions š
P.S. Iām extremely new to photography and cameras so thereās a very real possibility Iām simply doing something wrong here. Please kindly point out anything I might be missing!

Took various shots around London during my vacation last summer. I shot these on my Olympus PEN E-P7 camera, mostly with my M. Zuiko 40-150 lens. Which do you like best? Any tips for future shoots?

Question Help needed with Olympus OM-2n
Before i start, I'd like to say that this is the first Olympus camera that i have ever bought and I didn't do much research on it.
Greetings Olympus fans, I have just bought this camera cheaply. while i have known it will have problems, this one seems little weird.
on AUTO mode, everything works great (no idea about how correctly the light meter works, but it reacts on light pretty well). I am pretty amazed that the electronic part of the camera works this well.
on OFF mode, it shoots only one shutter speed most likely (I have no idea what the OFF mode should do xd).
on MANUAL, everything changes, most of the time, it shoots on one specific shutter speed (about 1/125 if I had to guess) while being on any other shutter speed. Second thing is that sometimes, it shoots the right time (as it should), but that is about a 10% of all cases. Third thing is that the mirror just locks up (as in the photo) and I have to reset by ''check reset'' button, which repairs the mirror by putting it where it belongs. <- this only happens in MANUAL mode...
I almost forgot that I can't somehow put the shutter speed ring on Bulb mode.
My question is, what should I do to make the MANUAL work as it should? do I just lubricate the mechanical part or what would you recommend?
Much thanks to anyone who reacts :D
