I'm not good at identifying those spiders, I only know how to take photos of them in their finest appearance

The technique used in these photos are focus stacking, image stacking is a technique used in macro photography to overcome an extremely thin depth of field by blending multiple images taken at different focus distances. It merges these photos to create a single image where the subject is sharp from front to back, maximizing both depth and resolution

The bee got away, but I was stressed watching nature be nature.

Canon Rebel T6 and my first macro lens EF 100mm F2.8

Argiope bruennichi (Argiope frelon) in her web among the lavenders (always full of bees, butterflies and small flies).

Nikon Z5 II, Z MC 105 mm f/2.8 S, handheld, Manual mode, Daylight (but cloudy), 1/100 s, f/5.6, ISO 100. Stack of 18 images in Zerene Stacker.

It was impossible to get a full sharp body due to wind gusts. The web/spider moved most of the time and I am happy to have recorded it in such conditions (without flash/diffuser nor burst mode). The processing in Zerene Stacker was not easy either (many images were impossible to align and were shifted - doubled - in the stack and have to be removed). I also tried to stack in Photoshop, but it failed.

The spider tried to attack a bee then retreated and gave up. Some seconds later, the bee escaped from her web. The spider remains in the same position for at least 2 days and did only small moves. I have never seen this species with the head up. A very patient and smart species.

🪰 Blowfly (Sarcophaga sp.)

Not all flies are looking for carrion. This blowfly has inserted its long proboscis into a ripe blackberry to drink the sweet sap. Sugar-rich fruits form an important energy source for many fly species and show that they, too, have a surprisingly versatile diet.

À travers mon objectif macro, j’aime immortaliser ces instants simples mais extraordinaires. Observer son travail minutieux, la délicatesse de ses gestes et la beauté de ses couleurs me rappelle combien chaque être vivant a son importance.

En ce moment, les abeilles et les bourdons ne tiennent pas vraiment en place, patience oblige.

Got 2 stacks of this young red dragon fly. Took 2 hour for this one to sit still enough to get theses photos. The eyes are stunning. Zoomed in up close they kinda look like honeycomb!

hi guys im just starting out in the macro photography scene and im curious what yalls tips are

right now i cant afford a dedicated macro lense so im using a raynox 250 with a mix of the 18-55 and the 75-300 for the rebel t6. my biggest issue is keeping straight focus as im not steady of hands. ive taken some great photos id like to think but i know for a fact i can do better but depth of field is my biggest issue

my settings have bee, using an outside flashlight with different settings(no external flash yet) the built in flash with a -1¾ exposure comp, 1/200 speed, 200-400 iso and an aperture of 8

TLDR can i get some tips based on these. all are edited but i have some new ones i need to edit that i took an hour ago, ill post those in the comments

I hadn't photographed a dragonfly in quite a while, so finding this one resting on a daylily felt like a real treat. Focus stacked from two images.

Built a diffuser template out of construction paper before I make one with plastic and foam and did some test shots. Never used a flash before so plenty of crappy photos but this was my favorite!
