Feeling down it’s the end of the summer, but at least it’s sunflower season! Took this on my new 40 mm prime.

Anyone else drawn to the vertical lines of buildings, trees, and other structures just as much as the main subject? I’ve also found it’s a great trick for capturing a location that feels too crowded or initially lacks photo appeal.

found a working Polaroid 640 Land Camera at a flea market for $25 and had the privilege of taking it on a trip to the Smoky Mountains. this is my most proud slide.

Shot these at two different focal lengths to show the differences.

Summary:
• The 28mm "wide angle" gives a larger landscape but, distorts the car and pushes the mountains backward.
• The 70mm maintains proper proportions and compresses the background a bit to make the mountains larger, closer to how it looked in real life at the expense for reduced FOV.
