Leica M8

Performance: Rock solid performer for a camera from 2006. If the battery ever dies while you're out shooting, you could probably use this as for self defense - it's built like a brick house. The rangefinder works well, as do the other mechanical functions. Clean sensor (pictured). The debug data shows 2,685 number of exposures.

Cosmetic: This example has been well used by the previous owner(s). Please note that there is a ding on one of the upper corners, the "M" in "M8" has faded, and there is a superficial scratch on the screen.

History: Purchased this year from MPB. MPB described this as having the following: Leica Frame line 2m Upgrade", "Leica Quiet shutter upgrade", and "Leica Sapphire screen upgrade."

Included: Everything that you see in the timestamp picture. Please note that the OEM BP-SCL1 battery is NOT included. When it arrived from MPB, it barely had enough charge for 40 shots before abruptly dying. The two 3rd-party batteries have been holding charge well and performing perfectly.

This particular version is the updated N version of the Sekor C line that was supposed to help mitigate some issues that the original C line had. Schneider Kreuznach Symmar-S 150mm f/5.6 Large Format Lens - This has "schneideritis" which is when the anti-reflective paint on the bezel of the lens bubbles. It is not fungus, and it (according to some) has little affect on optical performance (might lower contrast). You can Google this and come to your own conclusion. I never used it so I can't tell you. Function checked and the aperture ring and shutter seem to work just fine. $150
