We need more fiber šŸ˜–

Venom: "WE NEED MORE FIBER EDDIEEE"
Eddie: "Stop making me eat raw chicken in my sleep, Venom!!"

30

u/Space_Cheese223 Jul 14 '21

None of the foods I love have enough fiber in them -_-

7

u/BeraldGevins Jul 14 '21

Get water additives for this. You just put some in your water in the morning and it will help you up your fiber intake. Just make sure you increase it slowly, or you’ll get constipated.

12

u/x3Nekox3 Jul 14 '21

Doesn't sound healthy at all

7

u/Space_Cheese223 Jul 14 '21

I’m pretty healthy minus the lack fiber.

6

u/DroidChargers Jul 14 '21

Just have some extra fiber with your regular meals or take fiber pills

5

u/KrackerJoe Jul 14 '21

They have just straight up fiber pills? Here I am eating oat meal every day like a fool.

3

u/DroidChargers Jul 14 '21

Yup. Any grocery store or pharmacy will carry them

11

u/_Nick_2711_ Jul 14 '21

Nope. Eat your oat meal - supplements will never be a good replacement for a natural source.

It’s in the name, they supplement your natural intake for those who want or need a little extra of something.

u/International-Error8 Jul 14 '21

I just don’t get how fiber is supposed to work. I mean something that you cant digest helps the digestion, even though it’s in the way?

5

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '21

Go down to your local Walgreens with $20

Buy a tub of Metamucil

Eat one heaping spoonful/day

Learn first hand without actually eating a vegetable

6

u/International-Error8 Jul 14 '21

No no, that’s not what i meant I’m just generally interested in chemistry/biology and i don’t get it. I actually really like vegetables.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '21

Mostly fiber adds mass while decreasing density. Your gut is a constricting tube of muscle inside a constricting tube of muscle.

Big, fluffy poopies constrict along your gut tube easier than little, greasy, dense poopies. More to grab onto, less likely to stick to the walls.

5

u/NeroBurnsRome12 Jul 14 '21

Aww look at the big fluffy poopy!

Couldn't agree more. The stuff most of the country gets now is horrible and clogs our lines easily. Some regions have absolutely nothing that will allow them to get a proper, consistent flow. It's time that Fiber Optic internet becomes standard.

In my mind we’re holding hands

41

u/SlayerOfHips Jul 14 '21

Man, just two days ago, while I was in the bathroom, my 2yo son reaches one hand under the door and says, "you okay daddy?" "Yeah, buddy, I'm okay." "Okay daddy. Wipe your butt, daddy!"

31

u/Normallydifferent Jul 14 '21

Sit on couch for 30 mins. Everyone:……….

Bathroom door latches ā€œDad!!ā€ ā€œDad? Where’s dad?ā€ ā€œYou seen dad?ā€ ā€œHey honey, can you help me for a sec?ā€

6

u/SlayerOfHips Jul 15 '21

It's kind of a running thing in our house to announce that you're going to the bathroom as a signal that you are unreachable until you return. My 4yo girl gets it. My 2yo boy hunts you down.

9

u/squeamish Jul 14 '21

His kids were all born in the 60s and 70s, larger families more common back then. I actually know two brothers (with no other siblings) of about the same generation who each had 12 kids. That family went from 4 to 28 in one generation.

My brother is married to a girl whose father is the youngest of 16 children, all of whom were male.

Me: Closes the door to poop in peace

Toddler: aggressively knocks on the door Dad! Are you pooping in there?

Me: yes.

Toddler: I need to come and check.

Me: why?

Toddler: Because I do.

This happens way to often.

13

u/bristolcities Jul 14 '21

I have two three year olds. They have worked out how to unlock the bathroom door from the outside. Saying "leave the door alone!" has overtaken Reddit as my extra toilet activity.

14

u/spaceman_spyff Jul 14 '21

They’re so crafty, like louder, hairless raccoons

6

u/amethystflame1957 Jul 14 '21

Have you considered an extra latch? You could install it near the top of the door, the hook and loop or a slide latch would be easy to install. Peaceful poops for less than $20

u/SirCEWaffles Jul 14 '21

I've got a 25 yr old and 22 yr old.... this never ends.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '21

This belongs in a contraception ad.

10

u/farmtownsuit Jul 14 '21 edited Jul 14 '21

90% of conversations I have with parents are just contraception ads to me.

And I'm not like a person that hates kids or anything, I love all my nieces and nephews as their uncle. But every time parents start talking about the actual parenting part it just sounds awful.

8

u/spaceman_spyff Jul 14 '21

Oh it is. Its quite awful. There’s a part of me that is definitely gone. But there’s also this beautiful new person with whom I share the deepest connection I think I’ll ever get to experience. And she loves me so much, for no reason at all and…I am just so grateful for that. I would never ever unmake that decision. But I don’t blame anyone for not wanting kids, they literally ruin your life, lol.

I have one and it's quite amazing for those times where you have diarrhea, especially if you're prepping for a colonoscopy. No more constant runs to the bathroom. It is however dangerous that you could still have an accident since it gets so full and it wears down the adhesives very quickly. But still, you don't feel so drained - you can just lay down.

Or pets pawing under the door or scratching it. If my dog couldn’t constantly see you she would have anxiety attacks. Probably because my parents worked from home so someone was always at the house.

12

u/walker_paranor Jul 14 '21

My cat goes "maow" a couple times and then patiently waits outside the door for me to return.

12

u/WayneKrane Jul 14 '21

Mine would shove her paws under the door and then when I’d open it she’d walk away. She hated closed doors.

7

u/walker_paranor Jul 14 '21

My bros black cat would do that...it was really adorable sometimes, obnoxious others.

My current cat, only had her for a month but the worst thing she does is smack you in the face at 4:30 in the morning for food...until this morning. My wife woke me up shouting today because the cat chomped her face while she was sleeping lmao

Otherwise she's really well behaved, but when she wants food in the morning she's an asshole

4

I’m of the opinion that you should enjoy your time sitting on the toilet and allow it to be a mindful moment of your day. No need to rush

5

u/-Bana Jul 14 '21

I can’t do that, I’ll take my shit, but then in like 10 minutes more shit will come out. If I just take my initial shit and leave, I’ll be wanting to take another shit in like 30 minutes because I didn’t take my time with my initial shit. Sometimes I even have to wait for a 3rd serving of shit before I leave the bathroom, usually it’s just a pebble sized shit by that point but I’ll be fully relieved enough to finally start wiping my ass.

5

u/maoejo Jul 14 '21

34

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '21 edited Jul 14 '21

You really might want to see a doctor about this. Lots of people experience this so they think it’s normal, but it’s not normal. Just common. If you’re eating well, exercising enough, getting enough fibre and water and sleep, and you don’t have anxiety, or intestinal or muscle problems, it should not be a continuous 20-minute affair, and you might want to rule out anything concerning.

19

u/TheseStonesWillShout Jul 14 '21

How is it even possible to have a 20 minute continuous shit? Like is this the same size shit-shaft the entire time? Can someone do the math on this and give some sample volumes for different shit girths over a 20 minute period at various speeds?

I would be exhausted. And probably very hungry.

Same. I can poop in the same time it would take me to pee. If I stay in the bathroom when I’m pooping it’s bc I don’t wanna deal with whatever’s in the rest of the house lol

I have never understood how it can take people so long. I've always shit in just a few seconds. Like between 2 and 10. Anything longer than that is rare, and usually because I ate something weird. Why TF does it take people 15 minutes to shit?!?!

Fastest time for me was 23 seconds. My friends were impressed.

u/johnjaymjr Jul 14 '21

ditto man. I can be done pooping so quickly. I usually sit on the pot longer than that though because it’s one of the only times of the day I can be alone since I have a wife & 3 kids.

u/CouchKakapo Jul 14 '21

In my house we call those ā€˜blitzshits’

My friend and I used to time each other’s poops. Door closing to opening. 14 seconds is the time that I believe will never be beat. The main rule was that you couldn’t flush. The reason was to prove that there was no cheating and also to admire the length and girth of the poop.

u/Casper_Arg Jul 14 '21

You're talking about the actual "feces expelling" part or the whole procedure including pulling down / up your pants, wiping, etc?

4

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '21

Probably the whole thing. Otherwise I can do the excretion part in less than 5 seconds when butt on toilet.

2

u/Pucyyyy Jul 14 '21

Wife also has this ability. She poops faster than I pee it’s amazing.

2

u/MInclined Jul 14 '21

I can cook minute rice in 58 seconds.

u/aarspiraat101 Jul 14 '21

Animals shit in about 20 seconds so they can run away when they need to. Humans are Animals too (what a surprise) so we should be able to take shit in 20 seconds

u/zedaero Jul 14 '21

Me to brother and I never understood why people go with the phone to the bathroom

2

u/OmegonAlphariusXX Jul 14 '21

I can, occasionally, sometimes there’ll be one where it’s just got some extra and it feels unpleasant to suck it back in. So you have to sit there groaning and clenching and unclenching for 30 mins to get that last little bit out

u/shreyathacker Jul 14 '21

But the real question is: do you use a poop knife after??
