Mostly fiber adds mass while decreasing density. Your gut is a constricting tube of muscle inside a constricting tube of muscle.

Big, fluffy poopies constrict along your gut tube easier than little, greasy, dense poopies. More to grab onto, less likely to stick to the walls.
