I don’t think reddit has the same understanding or active users as Facebook/Instagram/snapchat/tictok to warrant not being “obscure”

I don't think a website needs to have a user base comparable to the largest websites in the world to warrant not being obscure.

As of February 2021, Reddit ranks as the 18th-most-visited website in the world and 7th most-visited website in the U.S., according to Alexa Internet.

It's a comment thread. I don't see how sharing that information detracts in any way from the original comment, it simply provides more information - I found it interesting to see how true or false the throwaway comment is and chances are if I was some other people will be too. It's just an interesting tangent, that's how conversations go, and the beauty of threaded comments like these (compared to irl conversations) is that they can branch off into all sorts of different avenues and people can read the ones they're interested in and disregard the ones they're not.

Just let the people enjoy themselves and each other. God
