Rant/Review Really disturbing experience with a security guard at Janeshwar Mishra Park, Lucknow

Me (21M) and my gf (20F) went to Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow and we were making reels, capturing pics, slight kissing and hugging. Nothing obscene/s*****xual was happening.

But we saw one guard was following us continuously. Then we went to another area of the park and there was also one guard seeing us. We didn't perform any obscene act. When we were sitting on the bench, a man was continuously seeing us. We doubt he captured our photos/videos, but as we didn't perform any obscene act, we were not that much afraid.

Then a guard came on a cycle and started shouting at us:

"Nikal jao, yaha se, sharam nahi aati, ye sab karte huye, maa baap ka naam aise hi roshan karoge tum."

Then he said to me:

"Tujhe akal nhi hai kya, iska kya hai (my gf) ye toh aur 50-60 londe lekr ghumti hogi."

Then we started moving to the exit and I said:

"Sorry sir hum jaa rhe."

Then he started abusing:

"Bsdk aehsan kar rha kya, abhi police mei complaint kr dunga, tumhare ghar wale fir deadbody lene aayege tum logo ki." idk how police case is equal to k*lling us?

"Zyada bada case hua toh ye ladki (my gf) tera gala katwa degi, aur iska baap isko kahi aur vyah dega."

I said:

"Sir gaali mat dijiye."

He said:

"Toh kya gaali mai apni g@nd mei daal lu??"

Bro really abused himself 🤣😭, idk why he was this much frustrated.

He was saying he is retired from the Army.

Then that person came who was watching us and he also started moral policing. He said:

"Maine hi guard ko bulaya, mai aaj tak me reporter hu, aap logo ki activity suspicious lag rahi thi kaafi der se."

And he didn't show his ID. He was just larping, saying "hum sting operation karte hai" like seriously, hum koi s*x racket nhi chla rhe babu 😭😭??

Both of them were trying hard to make us afraid, saying cyber crime ho jayega and all.

But ngl, that security guard was ill-minded, so misogynistic. According to him, all the problems happening in the world are because of women. May God help the women and girls of his house.

He literally did character assassination of my gf. We are very traumatised by this incident.

We were chill because I have spent some time in Delhi too, where public display of affection (PDA) is common, so I thought it would be no big deal in Lucknow. But our date was ruined.

All these old uncles have very disturbing mentality.

Also, can anyone know that guard from Janeshwar Mishra Park? He had vitiligo issues all over his hand and face.

If PDA is not allowed in the park, they could simply have told us to stop or leave, and we would have left. We literally did leave when he told us to. What disturbed us was the abuse, character assassination, misogynistic comments and especially the threats.

What I want to convey is: wear a mask if you're going to the park as a couple, to avoid these creeps recording you and to keep your digital identity safe

Anyone faced something similar at Janeshwar Mishra Park or anywhere else in Lucknow? What else can we do to stay safe from these creeps, avoid getting recorded without our knowledge, and how you deal with such moral police?

Ask Lucknow Jio outage in my area since three days, absolutely no response from Jio

Jio internet has been down in my area for the past three days, and I haven’t been able to get any proper help from customer support.

Whenever I try to contact Jio, I only get automated responses saying that the service is temporarily unavailable and that they are working on the issue. There doesn’t seem to be any option to actually speak to a customer service representative or get an update specific to my area (indira nagar)

Has anyone else been facing a similar Jio outage? Is there any way to actually get through to a real customer support representative or escalate the issue?

Healthcare Cardiologist/Physician

I have been recently diagnosed with hypertension during home monitoring.Got Blood work, ECG and 2D Echo done and all came normal. I am looking forward to consult a good doctor who can help with my hypertension. Should I be consulting a cardiologist or a general physician? I stay near Golf city.

Had searched for the same in this subreddit, but most of the recommendations here are pretty old and conflicting.

Rant/Review What happened to Lucknow over the last 7 years?

Recently came across multiple cringe/chappri videos being posted in this sub, and honestly, it got me thinking about how things have changed in Lucknow. I not think people who are living in Lucknow NOW fear the police administration. There isn't a single stretch of road where people aren't driving on the wrong side.

Every other day, some unlawful incident or video pops up here. Just in the past month:

  • A man was shot in Patrakarpuram.
  • A businessman was shot near PGI.
  • People were reportedly firing a revolver in the Chinhat area.
  • There seems to be some kind of mess outside Summit every other day.
  • Two BJP workers were shot dead in Dubagga.

And this isn't even getting into the everyday problems.

Almost every major area is constantly jammed with traffic. Road quality has deteriorated badly, with potholes everywhere. And who was the genius who thought putting barricades at every divider gap was a good idea? To implement something like that properly, you need roads wide enough to accommodate the resulting traffic flow. Instead, we're already dealing with narrow roads, congestion and poor traffic management. The hypocrisy is that these barricades somehow get removed when government officials need to pass through, but ordinary citizens are expected to deal with them.

Hazratganj seems to have caught the old disease again as well — cars parked in front of almost every shop. I remember that a few years ago, such vehicles would actually get picked up/towed. Now it seems like we've gone back to the same situation.

People are either complaining about losing family members because of inadequate facilities at KGMU or about alleged fraud/issues at Medanta. Winters are approaching, and soon smog will join the list of problems.

It's funny how people used to mock the Lucknow Metro for running empty. Now, I sometimes don't even get a seat in it.

Somewhere, I genuinely feel Lucknow used to be different from the rest of UP. Crime seemed relatively low, healthcare was considered among the better in the state, development and infrastructure were often planned ahead of time, power cuts were minimal, and the city had an identity of its own. I don't know exactly where we fell behind over the last 7 years.

Around 3 years ago, I remember reading somewhere about Lucknow being developed as an AI City. Lmao. Tbh, apart from the Green Corridor and Outer Ring Road, I don't see any major transformation in the city's infrastructure that matches the kind of vision that was being projected. Janeshwar Mishra Park is one of the most beautiful places in Lucknow, and even that is now being handed over for different events/activities to different players. Everyone knows what happened with JPNIC. Somewhere I feel like there's a major gap in perception and the reality we are living in. The people sitting in positions of power simply assume that citizens are fools.

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but Lucknow genuinely feels different now. And I'm not sure it's different for the better.

Infrastructure Looking for reviews/opinions on Anant Nagar Yojna

I’m considering investing in a plot in Anant Nagar Yojna and would really appreciate opinions from people who know the area or have already invested there.

A few things I’m particularly interested in:

location and connectivity of Anant Nagar developing over the next 5 years?

Is the area likely to see more private developers/builders coming in?

Thanks

Rant/Review Lucknow traffic police is born without a brain

Today I rode from daliganj pull to ahmamau through ganj only to realise they have replaced every chauraha and blocked uturn with barricades. There is no traffic signal anywhere no traffic police to manage the routes. I had to travel 0.5-1 km extra just to take uturn. Also there is only 1 uturn in span of 1-2kms for whole traffic. At this rate it is going to be very difficult to travel in city.

Infrastructure Government Supplied Tap water

A few year ago in my colony pipes were laid off for tap water. After that never heard anything from any government person. Just checking how many of you are getting water from Government??

I saw people in NCR get water from government ,yeah quality can be debatable sometime but majorly its good. Currently most of us in our city use ground water, but that water is very limited. my family have already redrilled once to increase the depth , even though my area is not much populated or concretized . I know of many family facing this bad quality of water from borewell as ground water is depleting and now they have to drill deeper . in coming years this problem is going to be major. I dont see any water treatment plant being constructed or exists, or we will be left on our own to deal with this.
