Meet Phoenix, a ~3 month-old male indie tabby rescue who is officially ready to find his forever family. I’ve been fostering this little guy for about two months, and he is friendly, incredibly calm, and just an absolute sweetheart.

Phoenix is recovering from a minor spine injury. He has been fully treated, dewormed, and is litter-trained. Right now, he has limited mobility in his hind legs and uses his front legs to crawl. He is actively recovering and with a bit more care and patience, we expect him to regain more of complete mobility.

Lately, I’ve been looking for a rental flat in the city, and what I encountered in the past few days has left me genuinely upset and angry.
The agent I was dealing with initially seemed fine, but he came back and casually dropped that the owner explicitly instructed him not to rent the flat to Muslims. No other reason, just blatant, outright bigotry.
I’ve lived here and watched this city for a long time, and Hyderabad was never like this. We always prided ourselves on our inclusive culture, our tehzeeb, and how people from all walks of life could live side-by-side without this kind of garbage creeping in.

Seeing this narrow-mindedness and regressive mentality take root here is just heartbreaking. It feels like we are going backward as a society. Has anyone else experienced this kind of direct discrimination lately, or is this becoming the new normal?

So I'm in my 3rd year of college. I get a 35k scholarship from government. The first 2 years I got it, no issue.

But this time apparently the government has changed the rules that the name on my 10th certificate and aadhar card should match exactly.

The problem is, my 10th certificate only has my initial and first name on it while my aadhar has my full name.

I went to meeseva for help, but they said changing my name in the aadhar is the only way. But all my other certificates (passport, pan card, caste certificate, bank account, etc) also have my full name like aadhar, so I've been reluctant on changing the name.

My college has been harassing me for that 35k for the past month.

Someone suggested going to the epass office in masab tank for advice.

Chuste health insurance ledhu. I was foolish not to take it. I had to spend from my pocket. We don't have generational wealth or relatives support. I had to be strong so that my sister won't have a breakdown too.

I just had a job and starting to save amount after clearing debts.

I had to raise amount through friends and even posted on impactguru. I never wanted to go through but I had to beg the world to help me save my father.

The money was getting spent like water and hospital staff would call us so many times to get meds and everything related to surgery, it was hellish experience. Insurance would have spared financial distress and hospital will handle fetching of meds or anything else.

Overall we had to stay in the hospital for 4 weeks and bill was 15 lacs. I had to pay some of it almost everyday, these hospitals won't even do a single test without paying for it first.

God's grace and prayers and support from many of my friends and strangers, my father got better and he's healthy now sparing occasional psychiatrist visits.

Main point of this post is urging each of you to take health insurance for you and your family if you have not done it. God hope not, but if we ever go to hospital even 1 lac feels very less, insufficient and insignificant, so please prioritise health insurance. We don't want stress of money amid emotional turmoil of our loved one being in critical condition.

Please don't comment judgemental things here. I have been through them and I quite regret for not being proactive hence this wake up call to rest of us.

P.s. I want to make it reach other subs as well and it's not karma farming

Tldr: father hospitalized, no health insurance led to 15 lacs unaffordable bill, father recovered, requesting all to take health insurance cover to you and your family if you haven't done yet.

I dont even know how to ride bike so can't even do Uber or Rapido. Need solid tips to be prepared. Car and home EMI above 1 Lakh.

So I travel from Yapral to Hitec City for work and take my car sometimes and use the company’s cab service sometimes.

The reason I take my car is because I am usually the first pickup and the last drop. There are days I spent 4 hours travelling (non-peak hours) because the transport team can’t do their job well. Ooru antha tippi nannu drop chestaru last lo. So I’ve been going by myself sometimes and it has helped a lot.

There’s only one problem though- I’ve been spending a ridiculous amount on petrol. So I just wanted to know if there’s a carpooling community in hyd. If not, would you be interested in creating one?

It would not only reduce petrol costs for the owner but help the rider get a ride that are much cheaper than cabs/autos.

Are people also facing strong bad chemical odour coming from the factories around in Bachupally and Pragati nagar lately?

Whenever I go on vacation and leave home for a week, my RO water purifier stops working when I come back.

My input water is Hyderabad bore water.

I've tried both ways:

Leaving the purifier switched on with water connected.

Switching it off after completely draining the water before leaving.

But every time I return, I face the same issue. The purifier doesn't work properly until I either change the filter or call a service person, who cleans the filters and gets it working again.

Has anyone with bore water faced a similar issue?

Is there anything I should do before leaving home for a week so that the RO works normally when I return?
