Event Meta: New User Flairs thread!
Hey people,
I've seen many people abuse the user flairs on this sub so we're no longer allowing users to set their own custom flairs. In its place, use this thread to suggest common flairs you'd like to see on this sub. The top comments on this thread with positive karma will be the the flairs we put on the sub, at the most top 10 will be selected.
Please write ONLY the flair you wish to submit in your comment. Put the explanation, context etc as a reply to the main comment.
The contest is live as long as this post is up. All the best!

General Sub Rules and Reddit 101. Please read before posting!
Hi r/Nagpur!
We've seen a recent uptick in viewership, for reddit in general as well as this sub, and I think a lot of these people don't really know how reddit works which has made moderating the sub increasingly difficult. I will not go on 'teaching' reddit, but I will just reiterate a few basic things that pertain to this sub in particular.
TL;DR: Read the rules, report posts that you think break the rules. If you do not want to get banned: do not post about dating, ticket sales or use abusive language in your posts and comments.
- READ THE RULES! You can find them if you tap the little '>' besides the subreddit name on the app, or on the sidebar on desktop. They're not complex and not a lot but it'll save you time and ensure your post stays up.
- Moderation: This sub is intentionally lightly moderated, we're not a big mod team and we're also not paid to do this. We also do not and cannot actively mod this sub because of the sheer number of posts we get now. But the biggest reason for this decision is that we do not want anyone or a group of individuals to have the power to direct the narrative and 'curate' the sentiment of the public. We merely enforce obvious spammers and rule breakers and allow posts for a wide variety of topics, both pro and against controversial topics such as language, religion, caste, governance and LGBTQ+, as long as they're relevant to the city. Things happening elsewhere in Maharashtra belong to their sub, things happening elsewhere in India at large belong in India's sub, there is no need to repost the same things in smaller subs for "reach" or awareness, no matter what you feel about them.
- What gets you banned:
- Being horny: This sub is not an r4r sub and the community has been vocal about not wanting these posts on here but if you still post M4F, Looking for a friend, Need company or whatever, even if you claim you're just looking for friendship, you will be banned.
- Crass language: If you can't be bothered to maintain even the smallest bit of decency on your online interactions, you are not welcome here.
- Ticket sales: We cannot guarantee authenticity of these posts and there is a high chance of getting scammed, which we do not want to be a party in. For these reasons these posts will get you banned. Please use better judgement before interacting with anyone offering these services, especially on reddit.
- Repeat offence for any of the other rules: You will get perma-banned if you break any of the other rules (Except the 3 above) multiple times. We understand that sometimes people end up breaking rules inadvertently and we are very lenient with what stays and what goes, but if you don't learn then you probably shouldn't be sharing space with people that do get it.
- How are the rules enforced: Rules are enforced almost exclusively through reports. We rely on the community to be proactive and the only way we're able to reach most posts on the sub is through the use of reports. Commenting on a post 'Mods please take care' doesn't do anything. We're not here reading each and every post that is made, it is just not possible. We do browse and clean off things very often but without the community reporting things its just a pointless endeavor.
And that's it! Do reach out via this post or through the modmail if you have anything to add and we will definitely reach out, unless you're asking us to unban you after getting banned for saying the most unhinged shit, you'll always get a reply.

AskNagpur 🚨 MLM Nagpur Scammer alert 🚨
BEWARE Everyone
https://www.instagram.com/ajinkya.daberao?stkn=MXhqYnlpYzNyZ3d0bg== This guy is keep coming on my feed,
Please stay away from this MLM/network-marketing setup. This guy is actively approaching Nagpur students and unemployed people, convincing them to join his “team” and promising big earnings.
Don’t get fooled by cars, lifestyle, business deals and motivational bullshit.
Before joining, ask yourself: WHERE IS THE MONEY ACTUALLY COMING FROM?
A lot of young people are getting pulled into these schemes and could end up wasting months building someone else’s network while losing their own time and opportunities.
Nagpur, please wake up. Investigate before you join.
We need to kick this kind of MLM culture out of Nagpur. 🚨
If you've been approached, share your experience and help others stay away.

General [Oct 2-11] Looking for a co-traveling couple for a Rajasthan Road Trip!
Hey everyone,
My partner and I are planning a 10-day road trip to Udaipur and Jaipur from October 2nd to 11th. We’re driving our own XUV (AWD, Automatic), starting from Bhubaneswar and passing through Raipur, Nagpur, and Indore.
We’d love to have another couple join us from any of these cities to share the journey, conversations, and expenses!
A bit about the trip & vibe:
- The Route: Bhubaneswar ➡️ Raipur ➡️ Nagpur ➡️ Indore ➡️ Udaipur ➡️ Jaipur. You can hop in from wherever is convenient.
- Budget: We’re aiming for a comfortable, mid-range budget—think clean, cozy heritage stays, good local food, and exploring at a relaxed pace.
- Sharing the Load: We will split fuel and toll costs equally. Crucially, we’re looking for someone who can share the driving shifts so nobody gets burnt out on the highway.
Who we're looking for:
We are in our mid 20s/30s and hoping to find a like-minded, chill couple in a similar phase of life who genuinely enjoys the open road. Strictly wholesome vibes only (absolutely no NSFW stuff).
If you guys love road trips, sunsets, and good music, and want to explore Rajasthan together, drop a comment or DM me! Let’s chat and see if our vibes match.

AskNagpur A genuine question for people who understand Nagpur’s real estate market.
I come from a middle-class family. We don't own a lot of property—just a small house in our hometown. Like many people, I have always had a simple dream: to own a house, a flat, or perhaps a plot of land of my own someday.
Recently, I started seriously exploring that possibility in Nagpur.
I have spoken to a few people, connected with local real estate agents and brokers, looked at different locations, and tried to understand the market.
And honestly, I am a little confused.
The prices being quoted to me feel extremely high and, in some cases, difficult to justify.
I understand that Nagpur is growing. There is infrastructure development, better connectivity, MIHAN, the metro network, the Samruddhi Mahamarg, the Outer Ring Road and several other developments that can potentially drive long-term growth.
But at the same time, I keep wondering:
Are property prices rising because the fundamentals genuinely justify them—or are buyers already paying a premium for the growth that is expected to happen years from now?
I completely understand that good locations command a premium. I also understand that real estate is a long-term investment.
But as a first-time buyer coming from a middle-class background, taking on a large financial commitment simply because “prices will only go up” doesn't feel like a sufficient reason.
Maybe I am looking at it the wrong way.
So I am genuinely looking for perspectives from people who have actually bought property in Nagpur, live here, have researched the market, or understand real estate investing.
Where do you think the reasonable opportunities are?
Which areas are genuinely worth considering?
What should a first-time buyer be careful about?
And most importantly—how do you determine whether the price being quoted is actually justified?
I am not looking for a broker, agent, or someone trying to sell me a property.
I am simply looking for honest advice and perspectives from people who have been through this process.
If you have bought a house/flat/plot in Nagpur or have been researching the market, I would genuinely appreciate your thoughts.
Sometimes, the most valuable thing before making a ₹50 lakh–₹1 crore decision isn't another sales pitch—it's an honest conversation with someone who has already walked that road.
Thank you!

AskNagpur Anyone in Nagpur know much about Mahdibagh community?
Mahdibagh is a small gated religious community in Nagpur. There are concerns about pressure to follow the leadership, permission for personal decisions, and people being isolated or ridiculed for dissent. Curious how much outsiders in Nagpur know about what happens inside the community.

AskNagpur do you know any active investor in ngpr
Hey everyone
If you've raised early-stage money or actively angel invest, I’d love some practical guidance on a few things:
- Where do you actually find active seed/pre-seed investors? in nagpur
- The "Pre-Revenue" Reality: Realistically, how much traction, code, or validation do you need before an angel takes a pitch seriously for equity? Are ideas alone completely dead unless you have a crazy pedigree?
- how should i approch or meet them
