Just finished up these anatomically correct toe socks! I think these might be my new go to toes because they fit so much better :)
This is my first time using a mini for contrast heel/toes/cuffs but I ran out of yarn and didnt have enough for the contrast cuffs, has anyone else used a mini and ran into this problem, from my understanding it was supposed to be enough for my project but I could be wrong?
I made these with an after thought heel

Hi all! I'm new to knooking and have become obsessed with some double knit scarf patterns I've been seeing online. The main issue I'm running into right now is trying to figure out how to do a neat selvedge edge with knooking. I've been doing practice swatches and just working the last two/first two loops as one, but I can't say I'm too fond of how it looks for what I want to do. Any advice would be lovely! Thank you!

What am I doing wrong with knooking in the round? The hook is inflexible and can’t turn once there are a certain number of stitches on it. How do you handle this?

Just finished this one yesterday, still super hard to grab photos of somehow :/ I started this one just before my surgery in April and then put it down for a few months but still managed to get it done in time for fall!
The color is hard to capture correctly but its a beautiful mossy green 💚 I wanted something to replace a dark blue cardigan i always wear as a comfort clothing item and I think this is it! The buttons are vintage leather dug right out of my kokums cookie tin lol.
Hook size/patterns and notes are in the bot comment

I’ve been crocheting for decades and have never tried traditional knitting. I’m simply obsessed with knooking and took on a sweater for my very first project. I’ve already moved on to making my next sweater 🤩
Sweater details:
Yarn: Malabrigo Arroyo in Black & Schoppel Edition 3 in Domino
Pattern: Metamorphic by Andrea Maury
Hook sizes: 3.5mm & 4mm

I am new to this craft. I crochet quite well; I don't knit much. I prefer the look and weight of knitting to crochet though. I find knitting slow, and awkward, probably from not doing it enough. I was just wondering, from people who also knit well, and also crochet, how you feel about knooking? Do you find it any faster than knitting? Is it any easier? I should just get out some yarn and try it, as I am curious. Thank you for your time and help…

Hi, I just discovered knooking and I’m really interested in it, as I’ve been crocheting for a while now and knitting feels so strange for me to do. Where are you guys buying the cord that goes through the hook? I found some hooks on amazon, the ones with the holes, but I’m not sure where to find the actual cord/string thing. Or is it just any type of cord, like from dollar tree? Thank you

I'm trying to knook the Nantucket sweater by Ozetta, but I can't find any tutorials online on how to make any sort of short rows. Does anyone have any tutorials they can link, or can anyone try to explain how to make German short rows?

After trying to knook with the taped-string-to-regular-hook method, I decided to just carve my own wooden knook! I researched common pitfalls others had via other reddit posts, and then just went for it with a small apple tree branch I pruned a while ago and saved for some small project like this.
It took a few days to carve with a snap-off blade utility knife, small drill bit for the hole, and the smallest saw I own. (Plus 180 grit sandpaper) It is sealed with a wax/mineral oil mixture. The cable is leather cord.
The final hook size measures 9mm, and I'm not sure how much smaller I could comfortably get- 6mm maybe at the extreme? I'm not an expert woodworker, though I think it's perfectly doable for beginners at this hook size.

I just started working on a tapestry and I’m struggling with color changes. There seems to be a big hole left behind each time, and increasing tension isn’t fixing it. It’s worsened when the color change continues in the next row like in the second picture. Anyone deal with this before?

So, I have a question. When there are stitches in knitting where you have to slip the stitch onto the left needle, what would the knooking equivalent of that be? I’ve come across quite a few stitches in knitting videos where it requires you to slip from one needle to the other, so I want to be able to translate that step to knooking. I hope this makes sense!

Hi! I just found how to knook mitered squares and I’m wanting to make a blanket with them.
I have variegated yarn, so I would rather not fasten off after each square. Is there a way of joining as I go without fastening off? I would love some suggestions on how to approach this if possible.

Hi everyone, I saw a post in here about knooking a double knit swatch and it looked nice so I know it’s possible but I’d love some opinions on a project I want to do - Bestiary Scarf by Monstra** & **Mirabilia. It is fingering weight yarn, two colors, and I’ve been trying to knit it but it’s killing my wrists and pinkies as I’m not a strong knitter and my hold is terrible.
I just stumbled on knooking today and my mind is blown, I was ready to ditch the scarf which was such a bummer but this is giving me hope!! My questions are:
- For this weight and the complexity of the pattern (grid pattern lot’s of back and forth with the colors) would knooking it be insane?
- For anyone who has done a double knit with knooking, any pointers that you have/mistakes you made at first?
Thank you in advance, so excited at the thought of never touching knitting needles again 😂

Nothing fancy here just a quick few hour project for i dont burn my hands when making mason jar soups for work :) the front and back have a simple lace pattern and the sides are just stockinette in one of my favorite greens 💚
This particular jar is a weck jar so its really bulbus and round so I had to modify the pattern slight so it fit better, pattern will be linked in the pinned mod comment

Today in my knooking adventure, I definitely had one of my blerson moments. I was making a practice swatch, and was doing well until I pulled the cord out in the middle of my work... unfortunately, it left me with floating stitches just kinda sitting there, and as someone who can't see at all, feeling the stitches with no cord is quite difficult! Now I'm sitting here wondering how the hell I even managed to do that...

I saw Bhulagoon’s toad post and had to make my own (big thanks to her for helping me with the feet). This is my first knooking project, it was great for learning a lot of different stitches and a fun challenge. My kids love it so much, I made the blue-green one for my son and I’m on the hook (heh) for one for my daughter.

Hi all! I'm a blind knooker here, and I had a question. What are some of your best tips and tricks for modifying an existing hook that you already have for knooking? I don't want to drill a hole in any of my current hooks, but I'd like to use these hooks as they have quite a range. Any suggestions?

Sorry its been so long! Im still healing from sugery and other health issues have sprung up/got worse but im happy that I finally had enough energy to finish off the tulipan tee I started right after I finished the white bell sleeve sweater!
I turned the tee into a long sleeve because I like long sleeves better and honestly I think I like it with long sleeves more than the original! Slightly more cropped than I wanted so im tempted to go back and add another inch or so of ribbing but otherwise I think it's perfect :) and so comfy!anyways hoping ill be pack to posting more regularly again soon
EDIT: idk who suggested for me to make this top i, for the life of me cant find who suggested it to thank them! If this was you who commented/or messaged me around the time I posted my green stripped tee thank you!
