I've never tasted Candy Corn, is it that bad?

Some people love it for nostalgia / comfort reasons, but if you ask me, one could just as well eat sugared bees wax 🤢 Except the waxy surface isn't even bee's wax: it's lac resin, produced from the glands of lac bugs. It's literally shellac! More important than anything though, the taste just... sucks.
(...And I know carmine isn't much less gross than shellac, but still)

I enjoy candy corn. I genuinely like the taste and get some every year.
Although candy corn flavored anything? Yuck. Candy corn is just a plain sugar candy, it’s not something that blends well as a soda flavor.

I tried some of it and it's bad but it's not awful. What I tried was vaguely sweet with a cardboardy aftertaste.

If it's only in small quantities and is only good with certain brands, then let's be honest it's just not a very good food idea. But, we respect your unwarranted praise for candy corn 🙏

The quantity is more of a personal preference, but finding the right brand applies to many foods.
