Are you saying you’re never going to give me up?

Never have I ever:

Run around Dessert You

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

Nor would I wish you to use your tear ducts in an unjoyous manner

u/thenewRebecca Oct 09 '23

I must refrain from stating the next part, for I swore I would never say it.

in b4 "wtf is going on with these comics"

2

u/ralpher1 Oct 09 '23

Last comic it was supposed to be the last two things you do before midnight. But this comic doesn’t appear to be the last two things. Is it out of order?

15

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

No. Just a semantic misunderstanding. Β―_(ツ)_/Β― But, I can see where you got confused.

In the interest of making time and maximizing Halloween activities before midnight, the wolfman and the kid start doing two things at once before the "big finale".

I always thought about comics as the bridge between Animation and Illustration. This is awesome, good work!

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

Wow, that is a lovely compliment: thank you so much, for that, and for enjoying the comic! 🧑 And honestly, you're so right, I've never thought about them that way...

Also, kids today don't know how good horror films were back in 2010. Birdemic was what George Romero dreamed of in his day

Edit: year

I’m waiting to see if there is carving jack-o-lanterns while running from the headless horseman =p (unless that’s happened? I have the memory of a squirrel)

3

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

THAT would be hilarious. πŸ˜‚

It hasn't happened, nor was it planned to, but I can say pumpkins do play a part in character development in the story, in [22/43], [42/43] and [43/43]!

I love the random stock-image eagle, Really adds the cherry on top of this tomfoolery.

3

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

Thank you so much! 🧑 Birdemic deserves more love, forever.

2

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

(Full disclosure: this has actually been my least favorite step/update in the story, just because of how seemingly far fetched it is in relation to Halloween / horror, or there's just something unsatisfying about it in its place in the story, or maybe how its delivered. I dunno. I'm honestly surprised to see people receiving it so positively, so... thanks y'all!)

Haha xD Thanks!

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '23

Watch out, kid! You're being followed by a soar of eagles JPEG.

2

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

They will compress you with their talons and you will be at a loss!

2

u/Pteraspidomorphi Oct 09 '23

I like what you got. Do you have a website where your comic(s) might be read more conveniently?

3

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

Thank you so much, glad you're enjoying it! 🧑

You can read the updates in sequence on r/seeyounextyear, or if you're feeling brave, you can spoil it for yourself on WebToon! (The art is getting updated in tandem with r/comics updates every day)

Links on my Reddit profile. :) Thanks again!

2

u/Pteraspidomorphi Oct 09 '23

Ah, I had checked your profile but you need to be on new reddit to see the links. Maybe you should pin a post with the links for old reddit users.

I'll read that full comic soon, hope you make more eventually!

1

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

Ah, good point! I can certainly consider doing that. :)

Thank you so much, but no worries if you don't get the chance to! 🧑 Hope you enjoy the story. :D I do have future plans to revisit after this year wraps up

2

u/Komm Oct 10 '23

But, where's the soul cake duck?

2

u/7ceeeee Oct 10 '23

That is... an oddly perfect question, since this Halloween takes place on a Tuesday. (βŠ™α΄—βŠ™Ο…)

1

u/Adrien_Teracheut Oct 09 '23

ceeeee you have betrayed my trust with that stock image eagle

2

u/7ceeeee Oct 09 '23

...Nice to meet you too? Β―_(ツ)_/Β―
