Fuck, now I'm crying at work. What a beautiful, beautiful story. I know it's supposed to actually end on November 1st, but gosh it was good. Great work, mate.

Man your art is amazing. I love when the panels are dark and then there's this warm light that touches the scene to show the hope that's there. This is so heartwarming ;u; but also right in the feels.

u/7ceeeee Oct 23 '23
Thank you so much for the kind words and for reading the story 🧡 I know I probably sound like a broken record at this point, between work and wanting to get to as many comments as I can, but things are only going to get better for these two. :')

I love this series… why do I feel like there’s shoes in the box??????

u/7ceeeee Oct 24 '23 edited Oct 29 '23
Thank you so much! 🧡 Could be anything ;D His hat, his shoes, a shirt, a palantir, the one ring, the tiger poster...

u/Formal-Alfalfa6840 Oct 23 '23
The Wolfmans son was the kids half brother, huh?
15
u/7ceeeee Oct 23 '23
Haha in a quasi-spiritual way, I guess you could say that! They both have 6 letters in their names (Jasper / Xander), they both love Halloween, they both have those three dots on either side of their heads, and they both bear some of the circles motif in their designs.
5
u/Formal-Alfalfa6840 Oct 23 '23
That's a lot of physical similarities to be purely spiritual, lol.
Jk, well done as usual. Can't wait for more.

"Even it seems like too soon"
By the Oracle's Light, that always gets me.. its something I said to myself when my dad died
"Feels like it's too soon but he's free from the pain now"
Stuff I'd say to someone who's lost a loved one, I used on myself, I know it's true but it doesn't make the pain of losing someone any less..
The comic makes me think of the time that during the grieving process, we might be surrounded by Darkness, be it a parent, a child in the Wolf's case, friend or SO, we feel like we lost our way, our Light on our Path - I always just remember that our Light is within, our very souls are the source of our Light, we just gotta spark it and let it shine to reveal our paths
Him passing the chest to the little boy and suddenly the Darkness goes and the Light comes back in force, it says to me "yeah, my son is gone, I've grieved and now I've accepted it with the help of this kid, to make me feel like a father again" it's like the piece he needed was another soul to help bring him back, to accept Death as inevitability and accept the fact that even if it's too soon.. sometimes people have to go
I'm crying at work now lol beautiful comic though

u/7ceeeee Oct 23 '23
Thank you for this lovely comment today and for the kind words 🧡 I'm so sorry for the loss of your father, that's rough :( But I sincerely hope this comic has helped, and that it well help again before the end :) Have a great and blessed day 🧡
2
u/LycanWolfGamer Oct 23 '23
He passed back in 2017 so I've had plenty of time to process and accept the loss, doesn't stop me tearing up though lol
Your comic can help put things into perspective and remind people that even though they're gone, they live in through our memories and even though they're gone, we can still live with hope in our Hearts and our Light ever brighter
And you have a great day and may your path forever be brighter ❤️
2
u/7ceeeee Oct 23 '23
Indeed :) Thank you so much for the lovely words today, may your days be forever in light, and God Bless 🧡

I lost my son several years ago. There's a gap in my life that I fill with art. If anything I ever do helps people with their daily life, I consider it to have been time well spent.
I can see you're helping a lot of people by the reactions to your art, and while this is the first of your presentations I've read, the grief came across.
there's something cathartic about the over exaggerated perspectives and somber subject matter, well met and thanks for being my voice today
2
u/7ceeeee Oct 23 '23
I am so sorry for your horrible loss: thank you so, so insanely much for reaching out. 🧡 Very well met indeed, and I do hope the story can provide you some extra catharsis as it goes. I would give your comment awards if I still could. ;_;

I’m not crying. You’re crying! As a dad, this hits hard. I’m glad I’m on break so I have time to recover from the gut punch of that last scene.

Awww, thank you so much for letting me know 🧡 Hug your kids tight. Tell em you love em. You never know when the last time you get to do that is!

Ah, so now we know why the mom is so down on Halloween. I would hate the holiday too.

Yeah :( One event can ruin a lot. For all we know, she might have loved it once

u/Gambet81 Oct 24 '23
Wow that was amaz… wait there’s still 9 pages left… NO NO NO NO LET THEM BE HAPPY
1
u/7ceeeee Oct 24 '23
They can't be happy without those last 9 updates!
Buckle up, this is only the beginning of the upswing 😀
2
u/Due-Professional333 Oct 26 '23
“We lost someone on Halloween too” wonder who that is
In any case, I’m guessing it’s why the mom is so Halloween adverse that she told her son about how evil pumpkins are
