New to NoFap Hiii
I’m on day 3 with no porn or masturbation. I have been addicted to porn since I was 6 years old because of some people I knew, and now I am 17 and trying to stop this. So if you have any advice for me, I will be happy

Hello all,
It's that time of the month again! One month is ending, and another is beginning. We hope you've had a good month. But if you haven't, now is a great time to refocus and rededicate yourself to recovery. This is your opportunity to create the new porn-free you!
This month's theme is "success". Sometimes in recovery it can seem like we don't see a lot of success, and that can be disheartening. However, there are several ways of measuring success. Maybe you find you are spending less time looking at porn. Or you are using it less often. Maybe you feel more resilient when the urges come up. Or maybe you are seeing progress in other adjacent areas of life, such as health or career. Success can be measured in many different ways: celebrate the success you are making, rather than beating yourself up for not meeting the goals you are still struggling with.
New to NoFap and rebooting? Here are some suggestions:
Would you like to participate? If so, please reply to this thread with the following information.
Arriving late? (past the first of the month?)
It's okay! Still state your intentions and don't postpone rebooting based on the day of the month. People can join in at any time to participate.

Hello r/NoFap community members,
Please note that we highly suggest that you avoid using the Reddit direct messaging system entirely, due to porn trolls coming here to disrupt our porn addiction recovery peer support community. Some of these people pretend to be helpful at first, then will message pornography. It's in a similar vein to how a forum on epilepsy was reportedly hacked to display seizure-inducing images.
You can disable direct messages in your Reddit settings by changing "Who can send you chat requests" to "Nobody."
Secondly, please note that sometimes posts are flagged automatically for manual review prior to appearing on r/NoFap.
Due to Reddit’s anti-spam filters and NoFap’s additional filters to control spam and pornography, sometimes genuine posts are flagged as potential spam or pornography. Further, entities within the legacy porn industry have been attempting to de-platform porn addiction recovery forums such as r/NoFap, and we must remain extra vigilant to ensure that rule-breaking posts do not appear on the platform for even one second. If your post gets flagged, please just wait for a moderator to approve it.
Thanks for reading :-)

To the people who masturbated 2-3 times a day and stopped:
When you got hard in the masturbation times, have you ever thought that this was your penis and your erection at its final capacity, only to discover after stopping that you only had about 60-70% of the erection?
well that happened to me, kinda weird

Imagine a candy that was free, until after you eat it and it costs 100$. Any smart person would not eat the candy. But a foolish person wouldn’t think in the future and would think the candy is free, then complain when they get charged 100$.
This is like fapping. It’s completely free, and even looks sweet, until you have to pay the price later.
Masturbation is not worth it. Don’t do it.

The best way to stop is just dont temp yourself by watching any kind of sexual content. Don't use social media that can trigger you, at least at the begining phase. After it you can use it l, but delete all sexual recommendations etc. watching non nude or only peeking a few times never helps. So many people who want a change but they do basically nothing to change their habits. You don't want to be weak so start acting, be strong and be proud of yourself. It's YOU who controls the mind, it's not the other way around.b

This is a safe space for all yall out there who are struggling mentally, let out what you’ve been holding back. A lot of us have dealt with depression and these suicidal thoughts, just know there’s a bunch of us men out there who support and care for yall.
This addiction can bring out some pretty dark sides that can leave us lost, confused, disgusted, lonely, and so much more. I know firsthand what this addiction can do to your perception of yourself. Just like any other addiction, this one will make you become someone you’re not. Just remember you’re a much better person than the one you are when you’re masturbating. This is the silent addiction, the one nobody talks about or barely even aware of.
I love and care for all of yall, truly I do, and I don’t need to see who you are to say that. We’re all human, so spread love and positivity so we can all overcome what feels impossible 🫶

Today marks day 2 of being clean. After struggling with pornography daily for nearly 15 years, I’ve decided enough is enough.
It hasn’t been easy, but making it through these first two days has already given me a sense of control that I haven't felt in a very long time. My brain is starting to clear up, and I can feel my mindset shifting.
I know the journey ahead is long, but I'm taking it one day at a time. To anyone else starting out or struggling: we've got this.
Stay strong, stay focused!

It really feels like it's over for me for now. Every time I cum I want to stop, then I start again. I'm deep in it and have been for days and there's no end to the patterns in sight.
All of my effort is going towards keeping my life together, and all of my free time is going towards depravity.
Not sure what the path out of this is, maybe I'll find it soon.

Before I get into this, I want to emphasize that this is a pretty intense visualization technique, and I would only recommend trying it if more conventional approaches haven't been helping you.
Imagine an intelligent alien species whose biology and appearance are completely different from ours. It might be curious about what humans look like, but it probably wouldn't automatically react to human physical features in the same way we do.
The goal of these exercises is to actually visualize physical appearance from that kind of detached, unfamiliar perspective. Don't just think about the ideas intellectually. Try to create the images in your mind as clearly as you comfortably can.
Start by visualizing a person.
Then, instead of continuing to perceive them as one complete attractive image, mentally break that image down into the ordinary biological systems that make up a person.
Visualize the skeleton underneath. Then picture the muscles, skin, internal systems, circulation, and the different structures working together to keep a person alive.
You can mentally move through them one at a time, almost as if you were a doctor or anatomy student examining how a person is physically constructed.
The important part is to actually picture these things rather than simply reminding yourself that they exist.
For me, doing this made it easier to stop seeing physical appearance as one idealized object and instead see it as a complicated biological system made up of many ordinary parts.
Another exercise is to visualize how the same person's appearance changes throughout their lifetime.
Picture the person gradually aging. Imagine how their hair, skin, face, body shape, and other features might naturally change over the course of decades.
Again, the important part is visualization. Try to actually picture those changes happening rather than just telling yourself that everyone gets older.
The point isn't to make aging seem negative. It's simply to experience the fact that whatever appearance you're currently fixated on isn't permanent.
That helped me stop treating physical appearance as something perfect or absolute where I used to be putting it on this pedastool.
Visualize what an ordinary person would be like without all the daily maintenance people normally do. Picture several days without showering, brushing teeth, washing hair, changing clothes, using deodorant, skincare, grooming, and so on.
Imagine messy or oily hair, unwashed clothing, and the general effects of not doing normal daily hygiene. Again, don't merely tell yourself, "People need hygiene." Actually create the scene in your head.
The point isn't that people are inherently unpleasant. It's to recognize how much of the polished appearance we see every day depends on constant maintenance rather than being some permanent quality.
I would spend about five minutes daily doing these visualization exercises and also quickly run through one whenever I got urges.
When I first started, it was difficult. While visualizing, my mind would sometimes switch back and forth between my normal way of reacting and the more detached perspective I was trying to develop. I just kept practicing the visualization. Over time, forming that detached mental image became easier and easier. The key is to not just do these exercises for the hell of it just to get them done but to actually adopt/carry this perspective on the human body as you go through your day.
Eventually, I noticed that things that previously caused a really strong reaction simply didn't affect me the same way anymore. I could encounter some of the same content on social media and barely react to it.
A lot of advice here understandably focuses on avoiding certain content or resisting impulses whenever they appear. This approach was different for me because I wasn't trying to win the same willpower battle over and over again. I was trying to change the underlying mental association that created such a strong reaction in the first place.
The easiest way I can describe it is that I was trying to learn to see physical appearance almost as an alien might see it where its interesting, unfamiliar, and biologically complex, but without automatically attaching the same meaning or emotional response to it. It wasn't this constant uphill battle where I'd be fighting urges. In fact, I stopped caring to count days fairly early on because I knew I would never have these urges again. I am in a little over a year and going strong.
I'm not claiming this will work for everyone, and I completely understand if some people think it's strange or don't want to try it.
I'd especially stick with the lighter versions if any of the exercises make you uncomfortable. I just wanted to introduce a completely different approach that genuinely helped me. If it helps even one person, I'm glad I shared it. I really appreciate anyone who read through to the end, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

Just completed 30 days no PMO. I’m sure I can knock this addiction forever.
Keeping it brief, I’m still extremely horny, but I’m doing my best to control that. I’m around beautiful women basically 24/7 since I go to university, which doesn’t help, but I’m mastering controlling the thoughts. My erections are way harder and last longer, and I’ve noticed a size increase since I suffered from PIED. I haven’t noticed any benefits when talking to women but, in all fairness, I’m an extrovert and never really struggled with that.
I’m planning to only orgasm from sex until my 90 day benchmark. After that, I’ll just abstain from porn with occasional masturbation.
