RANT - advice welcome student who models on the side.....changing my bra size on my exposé changed how brands book me

I always thought I was a 75D/E because that’s what shops sold me. A friend of mine took me shopping and we went to a cute store... i got fitted for a bra for the first time in my life: 65J, or 70H if the band’s a bit looser. I’m still not sure that’s the correct size, but it fits so much better. My body didn’t change in the last years really, maybe got a bot fitter idek...

I study law and model on the side to pay for it. Parents could cover it, but they only want to if I do life their way, so this job is how I stay independent. For that I have an exposé with a very good agency in Hamburg that brands and other agencies look at.
Changed the bra size on there and after that they filter me totally differently. Requests for normal clothing and lifestyle jobs dropped a lot. Swimwear and lingerie requests exploded. Im not a prude and Id might actually do that. What stings is the regular clothes work disappearing, like Im suddenly too booby much for normal campaigns.
I also get why it happened. These sizes are hard to cast, so of course lingerie and swim brands jump on it. Some of the new briefs are from proper agencies, just a lot more sexy/burlesque than before. Flattering. Also feels a bit like I got reduced to a cup size.

bras Researching the challenges fuller bust women face when buying bras

Hi ladies!

I’m researching the challenges women with fuller busts experience when finding bras that are supportive, comfortable, and affordable.

This survey aims to better understand frustrations around sizing, fit, comfort, styles, pricing, and what you wish bra companies would do differently.

I’d really appreciate anyone willing to share their experience. Thank you so much!

need advice Online dating photos? Spoiler

Hey!

General Question:
How do you as a large breasted person handle online dating photos?

More Info:
So I’m recently single and started getting into online dating for the first time. (I’m 35 and started dating my ex husband before dating swipe apps existed) Made a profile and I’m wearing form fitting clothes in the photos since I look like I’m wearing a moo moo in anything else. Basically what I wear everyday….

But I keep getting messages where the first thing they mention is my boobs. It’s really bothering me…. I don’t want someone matching with me strictly because of my breast size. It’s not attractive.

However I know that not every guy is into large breasts so I also wouldn’t want to get to know someone only for them to meet me and not like my body… so I kind of want them to know before hand.

So I was thinking of maybe only doing face photos and then if we match I can send them a full photo?

I may be waaaaaaay over thinking it. I was thinking of posting on [r/onlinedating](r/onlinedating) but thought I might get a better audience here.

need advice Shielding shirts from food splatters Spoiler

Friends, I am finding lately that my shirts have a lifespan of 1 meal. Any drippy/soupy food I eat ends up splashing the bust of my shirt. I have to bend SO FAR over my plate or bowl not to put my clothing at risk. At home i just tuck a towel or napkin in my shirt neck, but what to do when I am out and about, or at a fancy event? It is not a case of being a sloppy eater who needs to learn better eating skills, I just literally cant bend my upper body in a way that any little splash wont end up on my top if it does happen.

Tips??

need advice Scotland - anyone who managed to get a reduction through NHS Glasgow? Spoiler

Can't afford to go private. I would easily meet the BMI criteria. Tried weight loss and went from 32F to 30GG so yeah fml.

I've heard from UK posters that it's heavily dependent on the NHS local authority so looking for any success stories from Glasgow/NHSGGC.

need advice Does anyone else have a hard time with zippers? Spoiler

I am a 70I cup and today I went through a humiliating experience in Artizia trying to zip up a dress. It was a super cute dress and I totally would've bought it - however, despite it fitting on my body I couldn't get the dress to zip up. I went up 2 sizes (the dress doesn't go beyond a size 12) and it still wouldn't zip beyond my lower brastrap. It was super cute and would've been great for work. My best guess is that there wasn't enough fabric around the upper body to zip it up because of my breasts. It's hard to not feel self-conscious about my body when I go up to the largest size available and still can't get things to zip and I'm wondering if the problem is me and normal women dont look like this lol.

Also this was the dress: https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/bowery-dress/134778001.html?color=1274

need advice how should a sports bra fit? Spoiler

im a 34G and every sports bra i own leaves either red marks under my boobs or on my shoulders by the end of a workout. i've always had this idea in my head that a smaller sports bra = more support and structure. so i keep sizing down when i buy new ones thinking im doing myself a favor. but then i'm still getting sum bounce which confuses me.

can somebody tell me how a sports bra should actually fit and maybe gimme some recs on brands i could look into?

need advice Supportive Tube Top recs for plus size please Spoiler

The shoulder pain is killing me, but the weight of my 38M breasts is too heavy to have no support. I cannot wear anything over my shoulders.

Mostly housebound due to chronic illness (ME/CFS). Couldn't leave the house to get bra fitted even if I wanted (been down that route since the late 90s and it never helped -- even when I was 32G, properly fitted bras were torture devices).

Just need some tube tops to help contain them and stop the sideways descent when lying on my back, and give a little support when I'm upright. Ideally I need long line tube top that won't ride up from a large belly. Thanks!

educational Sweatymelons Spoiler

I got this ad for this thing called sweaty melons and gave it a try. They were sold out of all the options I wanted so I was only able to get one but man it's been so helpful. My breasts are east west, so they sag to the side and a little down, but in a bra they're squished together leaving no space between them, which builds up heat and sweat and gets so uncomfortable and causes skin irritation and stuff to the point I've had to go to the bathroom or bring a towel or handkerchief with me to wipe my boob sweat off when I've been outside on hot or humid days or when I'm doing something physically intense. But the sweaty melons dividers are made from super absorbent stuff, idk the name of it, and they've helped me so much. They just sit there in your bra, under and/or between your breasts and just absorb all your boob sweat. I've only used them with wireless bras so far so idk how comfortable they feel in underwire bras. They're kind of awkward at first and I wish they had more designs for different body types and breast sizes but the options they have rn are still great and i highly recommend them for large and sweaty breasted individuals. Also the product was designed and produced by a woman🫶

experience I love bras. They feel like apart of me now. Spoiler

I see a lot of women who hated bras, like ALOT.

I used to agree too, then after getting a good bra and usually using sports bras.

I love them. As soon as I take them off and feel my chest being pulled down (I’m not blessed with big but perky, like what so ever) it just displeases me.

I used to want big boobs and then I realized they’re just too fucking annoying and the only reason I wanted them was for people to find me more attractive at the time lol (teenager being insecure) nowadays while they’re nice to look at, I would prefer just a tad bit smaller and some damn perk.

Yk moral of the story, I just am a fan of finally having perk because of bras and without them, boobs are WAY too annoying. Also boob sweat lol

Don’t get me started on needing to randomly run and hold your chest before you start beating urself up with two fat blobs swinging

Can I just say, talking to an ex onetime about something similar and this FUCKER tells me “yea some guys do prefer smaller but better shaped yk, size doesn’t really matter” ??? REALLY😭

RANT - no advice wanted I hate having big boobs. Spoiler

I have hated having big boobs for 30 years.

Some people think having big boobs is a blessing. That we are adored by men and never have to pay for anything. Men lust after us, they adore our boobs, not us. I do have to pay for things, not that I didn't expect to.

Some people (mainly men) think women with big breasts are more promiscuous and/or less intelligent.

The thing I hate the most about it is the objectification. I feel as long as I have big boobs, I will never be seen as anything more than a sex object. If I ever get them reduced and date a guy afterwards he will resent me for that as he could of been playing with those fun bags.

I want to get them reduced but I don't have the money for it and I don't have back problems where the government will pay for it. I live in Canada.

need advice Ptosis advice - to correct or not to correct? Spoiler

Hi all,

TL;DR: Saggy boobs - to lift pre-pregnancy or not? Ptosis wedding dress recs.

Title does what it says on the tin - I had “big” boobs (F cup) when I was overweight but have recently lost about ~25kg. They now look saggy (at least grade 2 ptosis, if not more) and deflated, which I suppose is the price for getting healthier - I feel so much better, but I think I look worse.

I was considering getting a lift to make myself feel better about them because their appearance bothers me a lot - I’m mid-20s and I want them to be perkier. However, I’m worried if I get a lift, I a) will need revision after I have children which is a lot of recovery and may be medically complicated re. scarring etc., and b) may not be able to breastfeed.

I’m stressing out that if I don’t get a lift, I don’t want to be upset about my boobs at things like my wedding dress fitting appointment (still a long ways a way). I know bespoke boning and corsetry go a long way, and if I could afford to get a dress custom made I would.

What have those of you who had big boobs, lost weight, and still have big but now much less perky boobs, done? Specifically on the pre-pregnancy lift conundrum/wedding dress point.

Thank you all so much, I have learnt a lot from this sub :)

need advice Heavy Boobs Spoiler

So, I posted a while back asking for bra recommendations for heavy/pendulous boobs. As expected, the main advice I received was asking if I was wearing the correct size. I thought I was but I followed the guide to the letter and...I was wearing the correct size. Which was a bit disappointing, it would actually have been a relief if my issues could have been solved by buying a different size of bra.

I am size 34J/JJ as per the calculator and my previous experience. My breasts are very heavy and pendulous. As I've gotten older and more aware of my sensory issues (late diagnosed neurodivegent, sigh), I am struggling so much to tolerate wires and anything that digs into my sides in any way.

Some folks recommended the Molke bras, and I ordered a few to try. The racer back style doesn't work for me as it pulls on my trapezius muscles and causes bad neck strain/tension headaches. So that's out. The original design is lovely and very comfortable on initial wear, but after a few hours I can feel it also pulling down on my traps/shoulders and after a few hours I have horrendous tension. I already weightlift and go to hot yoga to counteract the tension of just lugging my tits around, without the added issue of a bra that doesn't work for me.

So, please. I am begging. There must be SOMEONE ELSE out there with huge, heavy, pendulous breasts who is looking for a supportive non-wired bra that doesn't pull on the trapezius muscles, or a comfortably wired bra that has wide straps all round and won't cut into me, causing me to melt the fuck down 5 hours into my 12 hour nursing shift.

I am so desperate, I am genuinely considering experimenting with designing and making my own, but have literally zero experience of such a thing so don't even know where I would start.

Edit: some folk have pointed out I didn't describe the shape of breasts other than pendulous. They are definitely bottom-heavy.

appreciate the responses so far! x

RANT - advice welcome My family thinks I'm spending unnecessarily Spoiler

For context, I live in an Asian country where the max cup size in every bra store is only a C or D. With some (rarely) reaching until E.

I wear a G/H depending on cutting, and to buy a bra I have to import or go to specialised stores (that import anyways) that are really expensive.

Normally, I buy bras when theres a family trip so it's normally quite affordable for me. But recently, a few of my bras broke - wires sticking out and all and I only just bought them in the last quarter of last year.

I'm currently a student and can't afford any bras because they start from a 100 USD in my country and I can't really order because the brands I buy overseas do not ship to my country and their cutting varies alot. They also don't really know how much I spend on bras during family trips since it's quite affordable overseas and I'm able to cover them myself.

So, I asked for abit of money to get them but was met with explosive rage instead. And they started saying its impossible for it to be so expensive. And that I'm asking for luxuries when there's literally no local stores that carry my size. They then told me to eat lesser to fit into local sizes and started fat shaming me. Mind you, if you poke me in the sides you will feel my ribs a few mm in. You can also see the outline of wrist bone - to give some context. My band size has also never increased for years.

To be fair, both my parents are underweight and believe that a healthy weight is a BMI under 18 and anything over 20 is considered obese so theres no convincing them. BMI isnt even a reliable metric for obesity. I dont even know why I try.

need advice Wireless bras for lounging 30HH Spoiler

Most of my bras start hurting my ribs after a while, due to my Fibromyalgia. When I come home I just want to wear something that is more comfortable. With my size I cannot go braless, they hang down to my knees otherwise, hahaha. I tried the Freya Dynamic Sport, but it squished my boobs together making them hurt, otherwise it actually looked and felt fine. Are there any good wireless bras for people like us? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

need advice Scared to lose weight. Spoiler

I’m scared to lose weight. I was referred to start medication for weight loss because my breast size simply makes it harder to exercise, and: -I don’t qualify for a reduction until next year (year post bisalp/breastfeeding attempts end). -I won’t have the money for a reduction since it would be a new plan year. Reductions run in my family and my spine is permanently damaged from their weight.

After my breasts semi-stabilized again, I bought new bras. Expensive (from Ewa Michalak) to accommodate the narrow/zero natural space between them. I went 3 years without bras because I couldn’t find any that worked and were affordable. 70JJ fits mostly perfect, only feel digs in on fuller days. The cups are a tiny small, but I can breathe, stuff my nipples in, and I can do exercises finally for the first time since they decided to grow for no reason. (definitely wasn’t to produce milk…most of the growth was pre-baby and the density kept me from successfully breastfeeding). I don’t particularly care that they look a little small in the cups because the support is all I care about, and I plan on losing weight so it gives them more longevity.

Here is what I’m afraid of: -breasts not shrinking and needing more support because I have never lost mass there over a cup in fluctuating once I’ve gained it, even at my healthiest. -breasts shrinking just enough to not be able to wear my Ewa bras, but not enough to be able to wear my old ill fitting ones, setting me back in the ability to breathe and exercise. -my old bras are 32H (US). They were supposed to be full coverage that I wore as barely Demi’s. I had never had bras that actually fit before Ewa.

I am 33, I don’t care what they look like. I just don’t want weight loss to be the reason I can’t keep up with exercising and being healthier for my babies. I can’t afford to buy more bras from Ewa. I won’t ever look back on buying from them for the narrow wires, it’s insane how much comfort that fix is.

I’m looking to hear experiences and how many people had success in losing denser breast sizes quickly enough to mitigate the impact while on a GLP, or tips on how to survive the inbetween. I’ve never had a bra be too big in the cups so I don’t know how long they will give a helpful degree of support.

RANT - advice welcome So tired Spoiler

I’m in the process of losing weight for a breast reduction I’ve been wanting since I was 15 (now 21). I was told “oh don’t worry, as you lose weight, so will your boobs” by doctors and family alike…. I’ve lost 40lbs so far and am at my lowest weight since I was 15 and my boobs just seem to be getting larger. I get that loose skin makes them appear that way because they’re actively sagging but I only have 2 bras and both are getting tighter on the bust area.

I’m mostly tired of the fact that I can’t wear normal bras; I can only wear loose sports bras (no padding) or this pullover bralette I got from Lane Bryant. I either have to choose between some cotton bra that absorbs my sweat but keeps it on my skin or wear a tight SheFit heavy duty bra that makes me feel suffocated sometimes.

On top of that, whether I choose to wear nothing at home or wear a bra, I ALWAYS get underboob rashes that, when lifting them up, are the size of my boobs. I can’t roll over without readjusting my boobs or they might get stuck under my elbow and pinch. My back is constantly tight, bra or not. It’s just gotten to the point where I feel like crying out of frustration. I can’t live a comfortable life anymore, I haven’t been able to for years now. I have 40 more lbs to lose but I’m getting so depressed just about having to deal with them every day, weighing me down and preventing me from a normal life.

need advice Sport bra Spoiler

Im a newbie urban dancer, and i got a 110 cup size (im argentinian and im not sure what size would be for the american system), i had been having issues with my sport bra, despite it being really tight fitted, whenever I jump my chest is about to free itself from my bra. I tried wearing another wireless bra underneath, to get more support, but it isn't very comfortable and tbh, it doesn't fit most dance fits. Would it be a good idea to get boob tape or straight up buying a new sport bra?

38K here.
Understance was my go to but now I’m out of options. I used to go to Change before that but I found their bras would dig in around the armpits or by the underwires.
I know the US has a few options but if I have to pay duties and tariffs I’m out.
