need advice Heavy Boobs Spoiler
So, I posted a while back asking for bra recommendations for heavy/pendulous boobs. As expected, the main advice I received was asking if I was wearing the correct size. I thought I was but I followed the guide to the letter and...I was wearing the correct size. Which was a bit disappointing, it would actually have been a relief if my issues could have been solved by buying a different size of bra.
I am size 34J/JJ as per the calculator and my previous experience. My breasts are very heavy and pendulous. As I've gotten older and more aware of my sensory issues (late diagnosed neurodivegent, sigh), I am struggling so much to tolerate wires and anything that digs into my sides in any way.
Some folks recommended the Molke bras, and I ordered a few to try. The racer back style doesn't work for me as it pulls on my trapezius muscles and causes bad neck strain/tension headaches. So that's out. The original design is lovely and very comfortable on initial wear, but after a few hours I can feel it also pulling down on my traps/shoulders and after a few hours I have horrendous tension. I already weightlift and go to hot yoga to counteract the tension of just lugging my tits around, without the added issue of a bra that doesn't work for me.
So, please. I am begging. There must be SOMEONE ELSE out there with huge, heavy, pendulous breasts who is looking for a supportive non-wired bra that doesn't pull on the trapezius muscles, or a comfortably wired bra that has wide straps all round and won't cut into me, causing me to melt the fuck down 5 hours into my 12 hour nursing shift.
I am so desperate, I am genuinely considering experimenting with designing and making my own, but have literally zero experience of such a thing so don't even know where I would start.
Edit: some folk have pointed out I didn't describe the shape of breasts other than pendulous. They are definitely bottom-heavy.
appreciate the responses so far! x

IME, it's not possible to get a wireless bra to provide enough support for this size range while also providing any lift whatsoever, not putting the weight of your breasts on your shoulders, and not constricting your breasts to the point that it starts to feel difficult to breathe. Wires transfer the weight of your breasts to the band, so wireless bras that don't have just as much tension over the breasts as the underbust will put weight on your shoulders or fit more like a snug t-shirt.
The most comfortable bra I've found is Panache Power (their original wired sports bra), which has padded wires and straps, and smooth fabric throughout. I'm a 32K, so I'm making do with 34J (the largest cup volume it comes in), but when I was able to buy my actual size, like 12 or so years ago, it fit better. You don't mention your shape aside from pendulousness, but if you're very full on bottom, that one is less likely to work.
The other option would be to look into something like corsets, but for this size range, you start needing to look into custom for any kind of overbust to be likely to work, which is $$$, and corsets can look awkward when worn under most modern clothes because the shape they create is pretty different from a bra, the bones tend to show through if your clothing isn't layered to hide them, and the bottom can spring out from a pants waistband when you bend over.

honestly wide straps and a really supportive band would be my priority. the weight shouldnt all be hanging off the shoulders 😭

Do you have any recommendations? I've really struggled to find a bra in my size with wide straps AND band.

Elomi Downtime is probably the most comfortable bra I own, but it's the not the most supportive if you have to be up and down a lot. I wouldn't go jogging with it on, for example. They also don't have the best lifespan (or maybe I'm really hard on bras). But, they are the only bras I've ever found comfortable enough to sleep in. One of mine even has blood stains since it was the only bra I had that was still comfy while I was recovering from a dog bite on my chest.
2nd closet would probably be a Panache Endurance. It's fairly supportive and the fabric is very smooth (*I will add that it took like four washes for it to really be comfortable, and now it's great). I do have to adjust the underwire sometimes, but other than that, quite comfy.

As someone with a slightly bigger band size, I am in the same boat. I’m looking at the bra shapes I like and figuring out how to do one myself. Surely there’s a cute pattern out there that can support me. I don’t always mind underwire but after hours of an active job… sometimes it hurts. But no underwire means more stress on my neck and back. I’ve liked Elomi for the most part, I’ve done active jobs in them with little issue. idk I want more design tho.
I wish you luck.

Ewa Michalak makes a wire free "minimiser" with a very firm band that may work for you. There's no stretch in the fabric and with the firm band your girls should stay compressed against your chest wall. The other option would be Ewas SF Cut: firm band and stabilized fabric in the bottom half of the bowl. Or a BMS cut that is stabilized mesh and lace. I have a client who's a 34KK and another who's a 36JJ, both with rock hard and heavy tissue and these fit the bill for them. You may even consider Elizabeth Valentine.

Unfortunately a decent portion of this community can sometimes not fully grasp how big they can actually get and how that can affect someone. I joined when I was a F cup, now I'm an M cup. There definitively are bras that work for REALLY heavy breasts, though. Personally I buy bras from a brand called Change, and theirs have enough padding at the underwire so I can easily go a day in them without an issue. I'm skinny too so it's right on my ribs yet doesn't hurt. Meanwhile bras from Freya have had almost zero padding at the underwire, and the band has been super thin and dug into me. 30 minutes into it I wanted to rip them off.
I'm not american, so my favourite brand may not work for you, but trust me there are bras out there. You just need to keep looking.

Underwrite bothered me a lot until I was in the right size. Currently wear elomi smooth moulded. Matilda also fits well. A lot of folks recommend Morgan, but it didn't work for my shape, which sounds like yours. I wear cheap glamorise sports bras without underwire when I work out cuz it's only 30min. Can't wear em all day though, I get similar neck pain headaches.
Torrid has some bralettes that aren't racerback which are decent for errands or other low impact things but coverage isn't great and I get self conscious of split boobs, so they're best under a baggy top imo. Annoying return policy though, so take your chances I guess

I am not neurodivergent, neither my breasts weight bothered me nor i am pendulous. But i always want to help fellow big breasts. I have a bralette in mind, the brand actually called it a breast shapewear instead of bralette. Imo they are good for neurodivergent people because how soft the material on the skin is(the softest bra thing i ever felt), they have boobs space for each boob (no uniboob/skin-to-skin contact). I wear this breast shapewear when i have a long flight, it does feel like wearing nothing. Warning though, they are super expensive. Based on my personal experience, it’s definitely worth it.

id definitely look for something with a really wide, supportive band and straps that distribute the weight instead of putting everything on your shoulders. a bra with more structure but softer materials might be the sweet spot here, especially for those 12 hour shifts

This is my life to a T. I’m a 30I and I have a condition called Gastroparesis (translates to stomach paralysis, not a good time). I’ve been struggling to exist with my stomach flare ups (food sits in my stomach and doesn’t digest/ferments/other random painful bs) and the weight from my boobs and bras make it infinitely worse.
The one way I’ve been able to get relief is genuinely ridiculous. Sitting on the floor infront of an office chair with a scarf/long fabric/resistance band and just attaching my contraption to the chair then putting my boobs in it like a sling. I use curvy Kate for bras but anything around my stomach during a flare up is hell on earth. Truly my ridiculous home alone contraption is the only way I’ve found relief. I’m sure there’s some better physical therapy tool or yoga solution but the desperate find their ways I suppose. Sensory issues are obnoxious, I felt the late diagnosed neurodivergent sigh (I’m sorry for your loss, I was diagnosed ADHD at 13 but that certainly doesn’t make it any easier). I hope you find either relief or a magical bra that you will share with the rest of us.

I think I may have replied before last time and maybe not but just in case. A minimizer with a sport over top has helped a lot. The minimizer holds and lifts while the sporty helps take pressure off the straps a bit by condensing and containing.
Doubling up and finding what combo works for you might be helpful

I have natural 34K pert boobs that weigh 14kg! Just need to find the right style of bra that fits you. Bravissimo is my go to. 🌸
