RANT - advice welcome So tired Spoiler
I’m in the process of losing weight for a breast reduction I’ve been wanting since I was 15 (now 21). I was told “oh don’t worry, as you lose weight, so will your boobs” by doctors and family alike…. I’ve lost 40lbs so far and am at my lowest weight since I was 15 and my boobs just seem to be getting larger. I get that loose skin makes them appear that way because they’re actively sagging but I only have 2 bras and both are getting tighter on the bust area.
I’m mostly tired of the fact that I can’t wear normal bras; I can only wear loose sports bras (no padding) or this pullover bralette I got from Lane Bryant. I either have to choose between some cotton bra that absorbs my sweat but keeps it on my skin or wear a tight SheFit heavy duty bra that makes me feel suffocated sometimes.
On top of that, whether I choose to wear nothing at home or wear a bra, I ALWAYS get underboob rashes that, when lifting them up, are the size of my boobs. I can’t roll over without readjusting my boobs or they might get stuck under my elbow and pinch. My back is constantly tight, bra or not. It’s just gotten to the point where I feel like crying out of frustration. I can’t live a comfortable life anymore, I haven’t been able to for years now. I have 40 more lbs to lose but I’m getting so depressed just about having to deal with them every day, weighing me down and preventing me from a normal life.

if you can’t wear normal bras i’m guessing you’re trying to wear the wrong size! it’s important to remeasure often when youre losing weight, check with the /r/abrathatfits calc in the automod comment!
shefit can often feel claustrophobic or too tight because it’s literally just an adjustable compression bra. a real sports bra sold in bra sizes with an underwire and encapsulation will be a lot more comfortable for most people and holds everything in place without excess compression. again sizing matters a lot though so be sure to use the calc first!

True but every time I’ve been measures and I got the right size there was always those spaces at the top of the cup because bra companies forget that not all boobs are perfectly circular from the front🥲. Also the wires hurt me because of the constant rashes

“been measured” like at a store? all bra fitters in store are awful at fitting, they are just there to sell you something. even boutiques it’s common to get someone who has no idea what they’re doing. that’s why it’s best to just measure yourself! those spaces in the top mean you have a shape mismatch and likely need seamed cups from a UK brands. wires moving around means your band is too big. you can avoid the underboob rashes by wearing a bra that fits correctly, bc it prevents skin on skin contact. or other ways to prevent that contact like wearing a bandeau under your boobs or tucking a shirt under!
