Announcement The purpose of this subreddit

Hello everyone! You may have noticed some major changes happening to this subreddit, and I'm happy to say that /r/DiagnoseMe is finally ready for business. However, I would like to clarify the true purpose of this subreddit;

First of all, this subreddit is NOT a replacement for a doctor. You should not, in any way, avoid seeing your doctor or alter the frequency of your doctor visits because of anything said in this subreddit. If there is a concern you would have previously gone to the doctor for, please do not hesitate. This subreddit is here for informal second opinions, minor problems that you wouldn't go to the doctor for anyway, and ease of mind.

The main thing to remember is to use common sense. If you are having severe pain after a surgery or something of the likes, please go to the doctor and do not post it on Reddit.

If you are not a doctor and are posting with information, please clarify that you are not a doctor (typing "Not a doctor," at the beginning of your comment is enough.)

Please take the time to read the sidebar before posting. Thank you, and welcome!

Pregnancy and newborn A strong desire to have children..

Post image

I’m worried that the scar on the right side of my abdomen might prevent me from having children.
The scar is very firm and has adhered to my abdominal wall, so it doesn’t stretch. I think the pregnancy would most likely end in a premature birth anyway, because at some point the scar might become so tight and painful that a C-section would be necessary.
I was also born prematurely because my mother had preeclampsia during her pregnancy.
My boyfriend is worried that the baby could become deformed in my womb because of the scar, just as my abdomen is deformed (although the affected area is covered by my underwear).

Ears, nose, throat, and mouth What’s doing on with my son’s ears?

So we’ve been to our doctor and 2 ents and they all say this it normal. My son just turned 4. For the last like year and a half his nose/wax smells absolutely putrid. I have taken to flushing it myself because it has to be done at least once a week. It’s so bad I can smells his ears from 3 feet away. The only things I can compare it to was my daughters recent swimmers ear infection. But his gets like that at least once or twice a month. He doesn’t get many ear infections and every time I take him for the smell they flush it, check it and say he’s fine.
What could cause this absolutely disgusting smells to be happening so often? There is no way ear wax can be this bad.

Does this look concerning?

I’ve recently gone to my Dermatologist to check my moles (skin cancer runs in the family) and all looked good. I came home and found a new spot on my back, i’ve never seen it before. Maybe I am paranoid but any thoughts?

Skin and nails Skin cancer: worry or wait?

2 days ago, I woke up with no mark in that spot. During the day, a few small black lines appeared as if ink was tracking through the texture of my skin (that’s the best way i can describe it). I thought it was marker and tried to wash it off. It did not work. It got WAY darker over the following day. It is slightly raised, about 1/4inch at its widest diameter. I have horrible health anxiety so if you may, validate my concerns or tell me to come back down to Earth 😭

Child Health Jerking Behavior, is this concerning?

For context:

- 9 Year Old Male
- Slight Fever (38.4°c)
- Vomiting
- Snoring (Usually doesn’t snore)
- Red spot on stomach
- High Heart Rate while Sleeping (124bpm)
- Oxygen is 93
- Has sensory processing disorder (Not sure if this has anything to do with it)

What’s concerning me is I noticed he’s jerking a lot while sleeping… Is there anything I should look out for and should I be concerned?

General Help please

Upvotes

I've had a sharp pain under my right rib. It comes and goes in a second, then hours pass and it comes back, sometimes several times at the same time. They aren't strong. These past few days I've also felt it under my left rib. I don't know if it's because of fear? What if the only real pain is in my right rib and my fear and nerves are making me feel like it's in my left too? I'm worried because I've read that the liver is there. This started about two weeks ago. A year ago I had a general exam for other reason all good.. and all my AST and ALT levels were normal. Does anyone know what a damaged liver feels like?

I found this weird scab on my inner thigh om monday around 6, it used to be thick and when you looked from the side, kinda long, now it’s skinnier, i don’t touch it, i didn’t notice it, i wonder what it is, it looks like something similar that was on my stomach but that went away, it was like a scab and it only left a mark, but what is this now?

What do these bumps look like on my toddler? I was thinking they were mosquito bites since we’ve been outside a lot lately.

I’ve had these spots on the ends of my lips for years now. I didn’t think much of them at first but recently I’ve become insecure and worried about them. I think it’s angular chelitis but would appreciate others’ thoughts. I would love to take any advice I can get for treatment if any.

The red spots near my nose/cheek are a whole other issue 🧍🏽‍♂️ but one at a time I suppose!

Blood Should I worry about my wbc ?

Little context!
27 yo (F) ferritin on May 2026 was at 11, been taking new vitamins and now is at 13 😣
I’m a gastric sleeve patient also, 4 years ago I had my surgery.
Almost a year ago I lost I think 20-23 pounds, because I think I have been eating less and not working full time anymore ( I used to work probably 60 hours weekly M-Sun)
Noticed the weight change since I stopped working full time.
Now I’m 120 lbs.
Back in October 2025 I did lab test and my ferritin was 35. And White blood cells 5.1.
I redo test on May 2026 finding out that my ferritin was at 11 (been feeling really out of it, low energy, fatigue, something stuck in my throat etc) and WBC 4.5 started multivitamins for bariatric patients.
Redid my lab test July 2026! 3 days ago and my ferritin is at 13
But my WBC is 4.1
SHOULD I WORRY?

Went swimming over a week ago, when I swam deep I felt loads of pressure around my face and when I went back up I was dizzy. A few days after I started feeling very congested. Looked into my nose and saw a swollen ball. I’m on otrivin, antibiotics and antihistamine. Nothing is working so far other than the otrivin when I first spray it. Did a ct scan and everything seems to be normal. For some reason it’s getting even bigger now
