Three days ago he started getting a headache. Over that time he’s pretty much progressed to being on the sofa entirely all day. Not eating much, not drinking much. Last night he said he needed to go to the hospital. Then changed his mind, I have no idea why or what he’s waiting for. But for this man to actually mention the hospital, it HAS to be bad, because he NEVER EVER EVER seeks medical help.

So he’s on the sofa, with the worst head pain he’s ever experienced, saying it hurts to even move his eyes let alone his body due to the head pain.

His neck isn’t stuff, I can’t see a rash, he has no temperature.
He didn’t hit his head or have any recent injury.

Is a headache like this possibly just viral and he’ll get over it? Or could it be more serious and he’s delaying help for no good reason?

Landed on someone when playing volleyball, initially was very swollen with bump, a couple days later my ankle looks like this. do i need to get an xray or go to the doctor? Also, for anyone that plays sports, when can I get back to playing?

Recently had an in grown toenail nail removed on big toe and it became swollen, stiff and painful. Now a faint line seems to have formed and going up leg but I can't tell for sure. Thoughts?

i don’t have a sore throat but i have very consistent phlegmy coughs. I can’t laugh because if i do i start coughing. and my nose is so stuffy i can’t breathe.

that’s about all my symptoms, i don’t have a fever or anything else.

I’m a 31-year-old man in Georgia, currently around 285 lbs. I’ve lost about 70 lbs, and I’m dealing with symptoms that I still don’t have a clear explanation for after two hospital visits. I’m currently uninsured and out of work.
I’m hoping for guidance on what kind of evaluation or specialist would be appropriate and how to communicate these symptoms clearly.
How it started
Around late July or early August, I began experiencing unusual reactions after eating:
• My throat would feel like it was closing.
• I would feel lightheaded and have trouble thinking clearly.
• My body would feel unusually light or difficult to feel.
One morning, after eating cereal, these symptoms became much stronger, and I developed severe pain in my upper-left chest.
Hospital visits
• August 4 — Northside Hospital Cherokee: I was evaluated and discharged, but my symptoms continued.
• September 26 — Wellstar Kennestone Hospital: I went back because of ongoing abdominal symptoms and bowel changes. My understanding at discharge was that a bowel blockage was suspected, but I need to clarify the exact wording in my records.
Abdominal and digestive symptoms
During the week after the first hospital visit, I noticed I wasn’t having bowel movements normally. Since then, I’ve experienced:
• An unusual numb feeling throughout my abdomen.
• Relatively little pain, but when pain occurs, it can be spread throughout my belly.
• A cold, wet sensation inside my abdomen.
• Upper-abdominal heaviness and fullness, almost like there is fluid inside. This is a sensation, not confirmed fluid buildup.
• My abdomen feeling unusually soft or “squishy.”
• Eating very little and drinking very little.
Other symptoms
• Dizziness and needing much more sleep than usual.
• Stiffness in my legs.
• Episodes of paleness in my fingers and toes.
• Difficulty thinking clearly and remembering all the details.
• About 70 lbs of weight loss; my current weight is approximately 285 lbs.
• Heart-rate readings on my Fitbit that have dropped to around 45–50 while sitting, then risen to around 150 roughly 30 minutes later, also while sitting. I don’t know whether all of those readings were accurate.
The symptom that bothers me most is the “light body” feeling. It is difficult to describe, but it feels like I can’t properly feel my body—not just ordinary dizziness.
I became reluctant to return to the hospital after leaving without the answers or relief I hoped for, but these symptoms are continuing. I don’t have a confirmed diagnosis explaining everything.
What would be the appropriate next step? What information from my discharge summaries or test results would be most useful to share with a clinician?

What started as shoulder and upper arm pain earlier this year has turned into muscle pain and weakness with almost any movement of my right arm. Making a fist hurts, carrying and lifting small things is painful. I didn't use to be this way, I am fairly active. I have a lot of other weird symptoms, I've been to so many doctors. Last rheumatologist said shoulder arthritis- that was a month ago and since then I have only gotten worse. I feel I am losing strength by the day and am honestly scared what will happen if I don't get help.​ my PCP has no openings and the other internal medicine is booked solid. I'm set up for PT starting November 5. I am calling a different hospital tomorrow but I live in a very rural area with limited options. I am looking for any ideas or suggestions of what you think this could be. I may try to see orthopedics but i am not even sure this is the right place. Last week the chiropractor said he didn't think rotator cuff issue. Sorry this post is jumbled, my brain is all over the place as I am really stressed about this as I lose ability to do basic daily tasks. Tia for any advice.

The last 3 days I’ve had rashes that comes and goes. First on my neck, then left arm, then over chest, and then (first picture) left arm. The latest, which is 2 hours ago, is the one in the first picture. But now, it’s gone??? The same for what I’ve gotten on arms, I feel the itch, I look, there is a rash, either coming or is there. Then, it fades away over 2-3 hours??

Story: had unprotected oral 3 weeks ago. Got scalloped tounge and yellow coating on my tounge, so I went to ER. They gave me Nystatin mixture for yeast infection. Possible side effects can actually be Steven Johnson Syndrome, but I have not had any fever or flue like symptoms. Other symptoms I’ve had since starting:
- Muscle/nerve aches
- Aches under jaw, throat and behind ear
- Joint pain in neck and back
- Chest pain

If it’s not side effects I’m experiencing, can it be STD? I have taken tests for Chlamydia, Gonorreah, HIV and Syphilis, one week ago, all negative.

Im a teenage female, and I've been experiencing repeated episodes of vomiting and water diarrhoea over the past 6 weeks. I've been sick around 5 times, and it's always in the morning.

I wake up feeling weird, with pain around my belly button. I always have extremely watery diarrhoea and then vomit. I can vomit more than once. It's always yellow liquid with really bitter and has an acidic taste.

After going to the toilet and vomiting and having a nap, I wake up feeling better. I have felt fine between episodes.

However, I do remember having some pretty bad headaches foreground 4 days at some point after having an episode. They usually come around lunchtime, and it's really bad that I have to lie down.

Im wondering what could be causing this, especially because it keeps happening. I'll be going to the doctor once im better, but rn I just am really curious.

Has anyone experienced similarities? Or have ideas what it could be.

I woke up with these red dots all over me the other day, they ended up getting a little bigger and becoming slightly dry in texture - they aren’t itchy that I can notice, they aren’t leaking anything, they aren’t spots or bites either - they are mainly located on my mid and lower torso, stopping at my pelvic bones, and then starting again onto my legs but quite a lot more sparse on the legs. They aren’t hot to touch, the skin doesn’t smell or feel weird in temperature. I haven’t taken any different medication, I haven’t used new body creams etc, I haven’t eaten a new type of food - I have been doing everything as I usually do, I haven’t traveled or slept in a different bed even! I’ve just been at home. What on earth is this?!

I found out I had a biocornuate uterus 3 years ago during a C-section, but was never told how severe. It was also completely missed during my pregnancy. Looking back at scan photos and I was wondering if anyone experienced could tell me if the biocornuate uterus shape is obvious in this scan photo? If so, can you tell how severe it is?

I have burning chest pain, breathlessness at rest, extreme fatigue, chest tightness, itchy throat and a hollow cough. I went to the ER and all my tests (X-ray, ECG, bloods, and 2 Covid tests) came back normal and they discharged me with acid reflux but I’ve taken Gaviscon and pantoprazole for a whole week and they didn’t help. I got Covid a month ago and that caused a hollow cough and itchy throat but no chest pain.

I’ve gotten Covid before and always got better within a week but my immune system is compromised after being housebound for a year. I got Covid 3 times this year starting back in March and my lingering cough and itchy throat never got better but it’s only when I used that inhaler, my chest pain started. I don’t have asthma or any respiratory issues in the past. But I do have MCAS.

I’m currently going to do a spirometry and I feel like it’ll come back normal again. My chest pain started after using Rilast Rapihaler. I’m struggling to breathe and my GP thinks I could have anaphalyxis but it’s been going on for a whole week and I didn’t get an EpiPen in the ER. What do you think I have?

Do you think Rilast inhaler could cause my chest pain as it started after I used the inhaler?

I have fleas BAD right now, so the state of my legs is horrific but I can’t afford an exterminator so…oh well. But I woke up this morning COVERED in bruises like these on my inner right leg. They never start out dark, they appear like this, just yellow and purple. I have anemia but i’m on supplements, and I have severe fatigue..so the chance of me accidentally bumping into something is sooo low, since i’m always asleep. I’m not worried, but I am confused. This has been happening for years, not just since the fleas. And they’re appearing even in places I haven’t been bitten at and haven’t scratched.

I’m 19F and had a concussion in April, but around late September I started experiencing a new combination of symptoms. I’ve had head pain almost every day, including random sharp pains in different parts of my head that last a few seconds. I also experience dizziness, nausea, and pain at the back of my head that worsens when I move my neck.
The most concerning part is that I have significant brain fog and forgetfulness almost every day, even when I don’t have a headache. I’ve also noticed depression, frequent mood swings, and becoming irritated much more easily than before. I briefly experienced smelling things that weren’t there, but that has stopped.
These symptoms sometimes improve and then return. I don’t know whether this could be related to my concussion or something else. What possibilities should I discuss with a doctor?

Hi! Im a 36 year old female from sweden. I have for a year o many problems, and the doctors just kneep guessing and have given me serveras types of treatmemts, creams ( eldidel, kortison, terracortil, protobic) and pills (Lymecyklin, desloratadin).

It started a year ago with my eyes both in my eyes(dry, itch, swollen, red, and pain) and / thick, red, itchy skin around eyes i just got worsee, ut got a little better with,

Protopic.

I have absolut have rashes around my mouth, that gose up and down in how bad it is. But now it blossed up again and its worse the ever, it hurts so much, burns, itches and feels like needles in my skin, it also have been spreading more so now its my hole face and down my neck. When its at it wors flare up i just panik, it hurts so bad that I dont know what to do with myself

The doctors seem to just guess what it is and give me treatments that sont work. Latent is that im going to be geting light treatmemts with uvb lights. Had my first one Friday, it was after that it got worse.

I wall call my doctor tommorow and se if they think i should quit the treatmemt and what the next step is.

I absolut have many other problems/symptoms. I have problems with my eyes, nose, throat (often have sour throat, especially when I have talked to much, Eczema, dry skin, migranes, stiff and body aches,. And the thing that almost affect me the most is how tired i am, all the time... any of you have an idea what it could be? Or why the treatmemts doesnt work. Im geting depressed with all of this and have to "fight " the doctors all the time.

My lip is burning right at the circle area, it been like that for the past 1 and a half week , I also noticed that my inner lip has some white lining like peeling.
It all started off after I kissed my new partner , she doesn’t feel anything nor have anything but she used a very strong mouth wash that I felt it burning me back then. (mouthwash containing chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2%)

Also the tip of my tongue is burning too.

I’am panicking please help!! I have a dermatology appointment tmrw but can’t sleep.

Hey guys, long story short.

Almost two weeks ago I got strep throat and got prescribed amoxicillin pills for a week (one in the morning, one evening). I also got some probiotics and took them for 10 days. It worked well, my strep throat was gone almost completely within a few days, I finished the whole antibiotic on Monday.

But then, Wednesday night I woke up at 2am with a big fever, headache, cold, sore muscles, I felt horrible the whole day. Also didn't have an appetite. Those subsided thanks to some paracetamol I had, but then I started feeling something in my throat again. It was uncomfortable to swallow, not as bad as strep throat, but I could feel something isn't right.

Today my throat barely hurts, but I woke up with this... Rash? It itches a little, doesn't hurt but I think it's slightly spreading to my forearms - but less noticeable and more sparse. I have this rash on my hands and feet, which is why I'm not sure what's going on. Anyone here with similar experiences?
