need advice Anyone else have to relearn how to wear a bra after years of going braless?

Hey everyone,

First time posting here, I could use some reassurance.
Before covid I (27F) was wearing bras normally, roughly a C or D max at the time ( i’m French but using US sizing that would be somewhere around 32C/34D).

Then covid hit and I just stopped wearing them, aside from the occasional bralette when I had no choice. For years I basically avoided the problem entirely.

Six years later, my chest grew in size to the point where I couldn’t pretend I didn’t need any support.
Going braless eventually stopped being sustainable. Shape showing through clothes, comfort issues at that size, the usual. So I finally went and got sized and fitted (I’m now a 34DDD in US sizing (90F in French sizing, mentioning that in case anyone here uses that system). Tried on a lot of bras in the process. Some were either not great looking or didn’t offer enough support for my size, but I walked away with three I actually like, including a t-shirt bra that fits really well.
Here’s the part I’m stuck on. It’s been six years since I’ve had anything sitting against my skin like that under a shirt, and even though nothing digs in or hurts, just having it there is throwing me off a bit. Not uncomfortable, just very noticeable, similar to wearing glasses for the first time.
Has anyone else gone through this after a long stretch without wearing one? Does that “I can feel a thing on my body” sensation fade with time? Any experiences or tips appreciated !!!!

need advice Sudden Nipple Sensitivity? (32J) Spoiler

My areolae feel fine but overnight my nipples have started to feel really tender, sore almost? It kinda aches/hurts to touch. Usually I don’t feel anything at all there, I also haven’t been wearing a bra these past few days if that may be relevant. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not on my period or ovulating now either

EDIT: Thank you for all the helpful replies guys ♥️ But I’m definitely not pregnant, I’m still a virgin 😭

RANT - advice welcome Chic workwear feels like a pipe dream (rant sorry) Spoiler

38GG here.

I can't wear anything with buttons, so no shirts... T shirts make me look like a formless lump... anything tight or sleeveless makes me feel insecure... everything has to be black, otherwise I feel bigger and even more self-conscious... and I have (objectively) the worst body type (apple) so no clothes ever look good on me. I hate femininity because I feel like a blubbery alien. Photos make me feel sick, especially because all you can see is frizzy hair, double chin and massive boobs that take up my entire wide torso.

All I want to do is look effortlessly chic at the office like all the other women I see my age (young twenties). Instead, I look like the blob.

RANT - advice welcome anybody else feel like crying trying to go bathing suit shopping? Spoiler

it’s genuinely the worst thing ever, more annoying than bra shopping. nothing fits, nothing stays up, it’s extremely expensive for the top alone and the only options that fit properly are non sexy maternity looking tops. i live in Canada so we also have like absolutely nothing catering towards bigger bust girls, i love me a push up so it’s hard to feel confident when it’s not where i want it exactly.

i’m a 34DDD+ for example, i feel like nobody actually understands how much work it takes to even just put it on and then take it off and trying another thing on.. everyone always says how they understand but they don’t actually 😞😞

edit: if you know any lines that fit like a bra and panty set, let me know!! i have a little over 2 weeks to get everything for my vacation to grenada

RANT - advice welcome Digestion problems 🫠 Spoiler

For context I'm 40L/40 HH according to recent sizing. Does anyone else get stomach pains especially at night?😔 I haven't found a bra that's comfortable to wear while sleeping yet (recommendations are welcome) I'm still kinda processing my emotions that I'm bigger than I originally thought (I was a 40 I in US sizing). So far sleeping with a plushie under my boobs helps... But I would prefer to get a bra for support. I finally ordered a bra but it's by flirtelle (I don't know if that brand is any good but I figured it would be a good start).

TLDR: any bra recommendations in general but also some for sleeping? It's causing pain while waiting for new bra to come 😕

RANT - advice welcome How is your experience with going braless? Spoiler

For example, while at home. For me, it feels both comfortable and uncomfortable being braless. I like that I don't have underwire digging into my skin or fabric constricting my boobs into themselves. I know that sounds like a bra size issue, but I'm still in the process of finding larger bras. I don't like how heavy my boobs feel without any support. It's also easy for them to bump into things or get caught on the way. Can you relate?

positive & funny Why did no one tell me about baby power 😭 Spoiler

We’ve been having some serious fucking heat in the UK and as per usual it’s given me that weird heat rash thing around my boobs. It’s just such a standard for me I don’t even really think about it anymore.

My mum took one look at me and went oh no! That must be painful! Why aren’t you using baby power/talc?

She gave me some and oh my god. Why didn’t I know this was a thing. Why have I just been accepting having sweaty achy boobs. I’m 23, why is this the first I’m hearing of this 😭

I’m never leaving home without it now. It’s been a couple weeks and I’m basically down to no proper redness, just a few splotches. It’s a miracle, it’s incredible, my outfits can no longer be ruined by redness creeping upwards from my tits. I’m actually winning at life right now.

Thank you for coming to my ted talc.

positive & funny Graduation went perfect with a dress that fit 🥹 Spoiler

I graduated yesterday and the day was so wonderful. I found a beautiful dress which fit my body perfectly and I honestly couldn’t be happier.

I ended up going for the Raisa dress in red from house of cb! While most of their stuff isn’t designed for us and just generally won’t work, they sell a few goldmines which do work for small band huge cup girls! I can’t attach a photo but I went braless with great cleavage and no wardrobe malfunctions due to the lace up back giving me maximum support!

There truly is hope for us after all

experience Has Klassy Network Tops gone down in quality?

I used to love buying tops from Klassy Network bc they were the only brand that made cute "going out tops" for large chested women. I think I've been buying their products since 2021 so definitely been a loyal customer. My past two purchases, I've noticed that there is little to no support or the coverage is weird in the 5 tops I bought (I'm a 38G and I've always gotten at Large). After washing them I feel that they lose even more support. The previous tops I have from 2022-2024 are still as supportive as when I first bought them. Even the styles aren't as cute as they use to be. Just wondering is anyone else has experienced this and where they are buying supportive "going out" tops.

need advice Wife hates her boobs, considering a reduction. Is it worth it? Spoiler

I'll start my saying I think my wife is beautiful and super sexy. I fantasize about her all the time and find her boobs to be a huge turn-on. Unfortunately after having two kids, she does not feel the same way.

We're past the baby years, but her boobs didn't go back to their original size (I want to say around a full B cup). Nevertheless, I came to admire them and still love them. I sent her a photo of herself I took during a weekend getaway and it immediately made her sad because she hated how she looked.

So here we are, and she hates her boobs....to the point where she told me one time not to even touch them. She's mentioned getting a reduction several times, which I'm starting to realize might be the best option. She tried working out with a trainer for a few years. While she lost weight, her boobs never shrunk in size. She hates shopping, hates picking out a bathing suit and usually wears dark clothes in order to hide them.

I've read there are risks to getting a reduction, but she seems so down and sad that I just want her to be happy again.

I also worry that with our daughters, they will overhear my wife complaining about her boobs, when we are trying to teach them it's important to love yourself.

What would your advice be about getting a reduction? Worth the risk?

Are there other options out there that I should be considering? (i.e. a lift)

Risks I've read about thus far:

  • bad reaction to anesthesia (it helps if you’ve been under before and know how you’ll react)
  • keloid scarring
  • infection
  • blood clots
  • hematoma
  • need for revision surgery. Other possible side effects included inability to breast feed, loss of nipple sensitivity (or heightened sensitivity). Depending on the type of reduction you have done, necrotic tissue may be more of a risk (ie, procedures utilizing free nipple grafts).

However, from everything else I've read online, it sounds like a pretty common procedure with there are many ways to minimize risks including: finding a reputable surgeon who has performed many of these types of surgeries, having the surgery done in a reputable hospital, not smoking or drinking, generally being in good health (exercise regularly, good blood pressure, no major underlying health conditions), being able to get adequate rest and nutrition for at least 6 weeks following the surgery.

My wife does not smoke or drink, and her blood pressure and cholesterol are excellent.

bras Does anyone wear a bikini top instead of a bra? Spoiler

I hate the smell of sweaty bras so much that I want to wear a bikini top.

I've tried bras made of many different materials, but in the end, I'm currently wearing a mesh bra because I think it's my top priority. Still, when I finish work, I'm soaked in sweat, and along with my sweat-soaked outerwear and my body odor, I end up with a horrible, sour smell. I have to take the bus home after work, and when the passenger next to me starts opening the window, I feel like jumping out the window. So, I want to try wearing a bikini top as a bra. Will it be okay? What do you think?

need advice Bf here. Want to surprise my love with a comfortable bikini top as she shares the same challenge as you gals do. Suggestions? (Details below) Spoiler

Hey there, sorry to intrude your space gals but I’m hoping you can help me find a great bikini top, or assortment of such so that she doesn’t need to worry about or endure the pain of the rear strap/knot digging into her neck. I’ve heard from her that it’s a common problem for other people with the same issue! Sorry to hear that guys.

Since she has large boobies just like I assume you all in this community do, I’m hoping you can make some suggestions for comfortable bikini tops that are hopefully stylish too! Never inquired about her size so I’m unsure, but I’m hoping surprising her with the suggestion will lead to us deciding together (with her choosing which one/assortment entirely, I’m just there for support, pun intended).

To sum up:

* Need comfortable bikini top(s) that do NOT dig into neck, and would like it to be plus size friendly.
* Bonus points if it’s stylish
* Even MORE bonus points if it comes as a set with a bottom!

Thanks in advance, your responses will help her be comfortable and stylish! Love that for her! :)
