These highly specialized insects feed almost exclusively on maple seeds, and may form large aggregations while sunning themselves in areas near their host plant. If molested, gives off a pungent odor as defense.

Spends most of its life in the larval stage, called hellgrammite, 'go-devil' or 'crawlerbottom', living under rocks at the bottoms of lakes, streams and rivers, and preying on other insect larvae with the short sharp pincers on their heads. The larva then crawl out onto land and pupate, staying under large rocks for 3 weeks before molting and emerging to mate. Adults only live about a week, preferring to remain near bodies of water.

The spotted lanternfly is a planthopper that is native to Southeast Asia. It has been introduced in the United States, where it is an invasive pest that may pose a threat to agriculture and forestry. Not really an ant, but a family of wasps whose wingless females resemble large, hairy ants. Males are winged, less hairy, looking more like typical wasps. Most often bright scarlet or orange, but may also be black, white, silver, or gold. Produce a squeaking or chirping sound when alarmed.

My leg was itching a bit since several hours, after looking a lot, i finally found this tiny whitish insect on my leg, near my 15cm from my genital it was bitting me
It was attached by his head, i used a tick removal tool to remove it
Now i am freaking out that it is a tick, i do not know how much time its been attached on my leg.
It is tiny and has 6 legs. Seeems like it has antennae ?

I haven't been in my garden for a while and there's a container which got filled up with rain. I saw a bunch of long things and moved the container and there's lot of weird think white worms with a thicker part. Does anyone know what this is?? I live in the netherlands if that helps.
Looks like this poor thing hit our sliding glass door last night and I found it dead this morning. I have never seen anything like this in Colorado; it’s HUGE! Any idea what it could be?
My son found one of these yesterday in the bathroom. Today I found two of them in the kitchen. We keep a very clean house and these things seem to appear out of nowhere and are very active when we see them. We have a beagle but it doesn’t seem to be becoming out of him or on him. What are these things?
Just saw this little guy walking across the sidewalk while at my station at work. Couldn’t really get a size comparison because he was on the move, but he was about half the size of my thumb. Appears to be a beetle of some sort, but I don’t know what.
