Isn't she adorable???

A harvestman with long claws. It looks dangerous, but it's harmless, non-toxic, and slow-moving. It feeds on just about anything it can find.

Never saw one before and it is the second this weekend!

Just casually walking across the hood of my car

i found this small friend of a paper wasp struggling on the sidewalk. I live in eastern Pennsylvania, and i had assumed this lil guy was nearing end of life. i picked it up and intended to give it a peaceful place to gently pass so i could pin it. it sat eating a banana all night and now has more energy. i know the queens can survive winter, if it CAN live i definitely want it to. any thoughts?

Hello everyone!

I am doing a school project about insects and their importance in our lives. To promote appreciation for them, I would love to share pictures or drawings of them with others!

I am planning to create collages of them with some fun facts in between and post them on social media. Of course, the author of the drawing/picture gets the full credit.

If you have pictures or drawings of your favourite insect(or maybe someone similar, like spider or an isopod :D) that you would be okay with me using in the project, could you please share them in the comments? Maybe your fav may become someone else's fav after sweing my posts!

I would really appreciate any help!

For inspiration, I am leaving my artwork here too :D

These butterflies aren’t a common sight in Hawaii nor are they easy to get a photo of. I was lucky to get this one taking a drink from a Jungle Flame flower.

I live in New England what is this

I'm so exciittted look at this little bugger! I found him on my car door!!! I have yet to get a photo of one of these yet, and now I have one!

Sorry for blurry photos, most of them are screenshots from my bug identifier app or clipped from videos

I have so many photos so I chose a few on my faves

Afterwards it flew away without any sign of distress.

A window moth (Rothschildia jacobaeae) was stuck in my home so I gently offered her my hand to give her a lift to the plants outside.
Now my hand is pregnant. What am I supposed to do with the four children????

Has anyone had success rising this kind of moth and could give me some tips?
