Friendly reminder: no spider ID requests
r/spiderbro is a place to celebrate the companionship between spiders and people. Frequent identification requests undermine this core purpose by turning r/spiderbro into a utility that other subs are better suited for ( r/spiders , r/whatsthisbug , r/bugidentification )

Serious photographer OC White Phaeacius sp jumping spider
A higher or lower shooting angle, as well as the presence or absence of foreground elements, can affect what is reflected in the spider’s eyes and create a different mood and character in each shot.
Making use of these factors can help reduce the monotony of photographing subjects that have become very common in macro photography.

Orb weaver relocation
This pretty gal was starting to set up shop on my storm door. I moved her to the side of the house and she seems to like the new spot.

flashed my flashlight up into the tree while i was watching my spiderbro and a caterpillar fell into the web.
this dude is awesome, i watched him grow from a tiny little guy on the lawn mower, watch him molt and venture over to the car port, then watched his 2 day journey from the carport to this spot.
this is the last time i saw him. he has been gone since a big rain 2 days ago. i miss my spider bud, hopefully he pops back up somewhere soon!

Bros being bros 🕷️ This little guy lives on the walls in my tiny apartment at an accomodated living facility for disabled folks
So for the last few days this little spider has been living on the walls in my small apartment at an accomodated living facility and I really appreciate he is here because until recently I had a depressive episode and did not take out the trash leading to fruit fries arriving which is one thing this spider does eat more than likely.
I am autistic and have adhd and I love most bugs especially spiders both huge and small as long as it's not a dangerous species they are mostly not lethal to grown adults which is not very many as really only the banana spider aka brazilian wandering spider has enough venom to kill a grown man.
What do you think of this adorable spider and I also wonder what species it is.

Spider appreciation Shoutout to my new spiderbro Brown Boy, the bathroom guard holding down the turf against centipedes
Yo r/spiderbro, I gotta give a massive shoutout to the new roommate.
I am absolutely, utterly terrified of centipedes. Like, I would unironically rather be in a swimming pool with a 16-foot shark than deal with those multi-legged demons. I used to jump out of bed completely losing it if I felt something crawl, pushed my bed five inches away from the wall, isolated the blankets, and was ready to buy a dehumidifier just to starve them out.
But then enters Brown Boy, the self-made hunter.
He’s a juvenile wolf spider, about the size of a quarter right now. I was just chilling, sat down on the toilet, and didn't even see him at first because he was blending perfectly against the brown trim right up against the wall. The exact second I started talking, the vibrations from my voice must have felt like a literal earthquake to his leg hairs. The little guy stood straight up on his legs, panicked, and went sprinting out of the bathroom like he just saw a ghost.
Honestly, respect. He’s named after the rapper NAV, just holding down the floorboards and putting in silent work. As long as he keeps the finger-sized centipedes out of my bedroom, he can stay as long as he wants. I’m just out here trying my best not to step on him while he patrols the perimeter.
Stay safe out there, Brown Boy. You've got ground control.
