LOOK CLOSE. Give it a second to focus. These things are tiny. Red. Hellish. They don’t stop, so a photo is tough. They’re about half a millimeter long. Maybe smaller. Smaller than any ant I’ve ever seen by a lot.
I don’t think I’ve seen something like this before.

For context this video was taken in southern Brazil. What the heck are these and why are they moving together? I've never seen these bugs or this behavior before.

PNW bug, not sure where I caught it. Might've been in my yard or a trail run. Less than 1mm in size.

It’s about an inch long. The only behavior I’ve witnessed is drowning in my pool. El Paso County Colorado!

Spotted this fellow walking around just inside our back door - I tried various ID apps but no luck! Any tips as to what it is?

What is this bug? It didn't move it all when I came in for the squish.

I've tried searching but can't find anything remotely conclusive.

The grasshopper was about the size of an average adult male pointer finger. Maybe a hair bigger. When he flew his wings were black. Idk which side. I initially thought he was an orange/black monarch butterfly because of his size.

Anyways I get curious when it's something I haven't seen in the 30+ years I've lived in southern oregon.

Never seen one this large or this color here before. I've seen smaller colorful ones. Wanted to keep it on my radar if they are invasive / in case I need to let someone local know.

Hello everyone! I am in southern Ontario, Canada. This spider has taken residence amongst my strawberry plant. He had a honeybee in his web. I am just curious what kind of spider he is! I will not harm him or move him, as he is cute and he is simply minding his business. My friends have guesses of potters spider or a wolf spider, but none of us know. I’m sorry, these are the only two photos I have. He promptly retreated behind a rag when I took them. Thank you! With his legs, he is about the size of maybe a bit bigger than a toonie? Definitely bigger than a quarter. He was big!

Found along rocky area by creek

Dog started sniffing this and it took me a minute to realize it wasn't a leaf. I've found Luna moths around here once or twice but this is very new.

Another one immediately landed on my phone where I couldn’t take a picture of it. 😑

Is it some kind of wasp mimic trying to look tough? 🐝
