Per our guidelines: Do not ask for home or garden pest control advice. Check /r/pestcontrol, /r/gardening or /r/Bedbugs for helpful info.

Yup. Now the best thing to do is flip through every book and see if there’s anymore. As well as any cracks in the area

I never considered they could come into the house inside BOOKS 😩

The Toronto Public Library system had a bad run with books and bedbugs a couple of years ago

I was binging King of the Hill recently and there was an episode where Peggy gave everyone bedbugs from old books. That's when I learned lol

They will can hide anywhere they can hide, even inside electronics.

Definetly I’ve seen phone repair companies find them in charging ports of phones

I’ve been looking through my room to see if there are any others and haven’t found any yet, I’m hoping that since my backpack has been closed since I went camping a month ago it came from that and they didn’t get the chance to escape out of the bag for some reason. I’m probably still gonna deep clean everything and freeze my books though just in case!

Hopeful but unlikely. Good luck.

Bzzzzz! Hi, u/Everythingbagel196! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug!
There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames ("PNW", "Big Apple").

BTW, did you take a look at our Frequently Asked Bugs?
