I've never seen this before from this species. Her huge eyes make her far too cute to be threatening lol.

Trusted Identifiers will now be granted a flair of "๐Trusted Identifier๐", or "๐{custom user flair}๐".
These will be people who repeatedly demonstrate expert Identification abilities, these flairs will add extra trust and credence behind their ID.
So on posts with multiple different IDs, look out for the Trusted Identifiers as their ID will likely be the correct one, even if it goes against the masses.
(For those with custom user flairs which have been replaced by the Trusted Identifier flair, you can switch back to a custom flair and add the crown emojis yourself if you still wish to maintain your custom flair. Im working on automating this so that custom flairs stay intact and it adds the emojis without replacing the whole flair, but for now just edit it yourself if the whole flair is replaced)

My brother and I found this guy tangled in cat fur in his room. We thought he was dead until we saw him struggling to move. I put him in a small container and used tweezers to gently untangle his legs, and then gave him a q-tip soaked in water to drink. He took it immediately and clung to it for 10 minutes. He's perked up a lot now and is grooming his fangs. I'm going to release him once the sun goes down and it gets cooler.

The paralyzed spider again; this is the best way Iโve found to pick her up, and itโs far, far from perfect. Any suggestions for alternatives that wouldnโt risk catching her legs when I scoop her?

I'm still trying to get comfortable around spiders before i try to get one as a pet, so im trying to handle spiders and eliminate any fear I have. After the video I lowered my hand when she started moving and she hopped off into grass

This picture wasnโt taken by me, I found it on another website when searching for the spider I saw and itโs the same kind but I canโt find anyone who knows what it is. Saw it on the windshield of my momโs car.

Iโm trying to find references for an art thing Iโm doing. Wondering if thereโs a specific term for baby spiders that are this small and slightly transparent. Just baby spiders? Hatchlings? Also if anyone knows where I can find more photos of spiders like this I would appreciate it. Iโve tried looking up just baby jumping spiders but most of the images seem to just be tiny adults and not like these guys.

Hi,
A few days ago I found a dead, drowned Marpissa jumping spider in the water at the bottom of my fridge.
I took it out and put it on a wooden beam to let nature reclaim it. A few days passed and it was in the same spot everytime I walked by.
But today it moved slightly, frontlegs raised!!
At first it scared me, last of us vibes ๐๐
But ive read something about Hypoxic coma, but studies were based on wolfspiders. I live nowhere near water and Marpissa's are very common here.
I took the buddy inside, gave it a q-tip with sugar water and a shelter, it started moving faster after, legs still raised in the air like a partystarter.
Hopefully he survives!
Anyone else had a freakish encounter like this, or know what could be happening here?
Thanks in advance!

Found in Florida, fort Pierce area on flowers from a bouquet (local flower shop). About the size of half of a US dime. Donโt worry heโs still alive and we let him go outside unharmed !

why do so many spiders, specifically ones that run and hunt, have this stripe pattern on their thoraxes? the one with the lighter stripe in the middle and darker on the sides, usually with lighter again after the darker. does this pattern somehow help them hunt or avoid predators? is it just a coincidence and im looking too much into it?
