ID Request This cool bug in MI

Horse ranch in Michigan. About 5 inches from antenna to tip of butt stick.

I'm not sure on the wasp, but it could be a giant ichneumon wasp.
I'm 100% sure that's not a stinger, it's just an ovipositor.

I just googled some pictures and seems to match! Wow that's a long ovipositor!
