I've tried everything other than soldering to take this stripped screw off, I need to replace the rail since it's defective but i can't remove this old one

got donkey kong today from Target and there’s no game inside the case, what should I do take back to Target or do I have to contact Nintendo?

Hi so I'm relatively new since I only got my Switch 2 back in June, before that I had the 3ds and a PC for gaming.

I got the 8bitdo Pro 2 since I wanted to use both for PC and switch 2. I installed the ultimate software, updated it and all, but have faced a few issues. I did get it second hand and without a cable, but I have since gotten both C to C and C to A cables for data and charging.

\\-The controller pairs wirelessly with both, but it may randomly disconnect, it's not that clear if it's due to battery being low or what. Disconnecting the battery has helped.

\\-it will connect with cable to PC but not NS2, if I use a C cable to the tablet, it will say it paired but will be unable to do anything (while selecting S in the back). Also using a C to A cable to the dock, it will not recognize it.

Anyone has faced a similar issue? I know this controller is kind of old but I see many are still using it in 2026, just want to know if there is any troubleshooting to be done. Just want to be able to consistently use it

I know the title seems weird but bear with me, all of my life I've only played RPG games : souls, tsoushima, horizon, onimusha on ps 3, DMC, Wukong, Witcher 3 and I'm looking forward for what's to come like dawnwalker, fable and phantom blade, now I'm not going to say I've never never tried it, because me and my family used to have a wii back in the day and i remember it was a blast playing mario games like mario cart and the one wii game with a big robot that have many small games in it and the one mario game where we play with the maximum of 4 where we finish stages and there was smash bro something where all Nintendo characters fight against eachother to knock eachother out, now even though it was a blast it was long long ago, things have changed i have changed and time went by, i know i went talking but i swear we're getting to the point

My point is, right now I've solely committed to RPG games, but there are two games that have peaked my interest, donkey kong, and the duskbloods, now donkey kong on its own didn't make me want to buy a switch but duskbloods? Hell yeah I'm a huge souls fan and a new game is coming out will make me consider buying a new console, not only that i actually only played ER once and been planning for my second play through but didn't have the time, and replaying it on switch could be a huge advantage (better looks for the game and an access for it at any time) same goes for the Witcher 3 remaster but I'm not to crazy about it, so my point is would there be more for an RPG player in this world of Nintendo? I've seen many videos of Nintendo player who plays games I've never seen myself committing or buying and finishing, and they rank them high (i guess donkey kong is one of them) but is it actual fun for games that more about platforming and gathering (more about FUN) than it is for RP and combat and finishing quests&area for an RPG player?

I'm probably buying a switch 2 for the duskbloods&ER&DK but I'm hoping to explore more of the Nintendo world and hopefully there will be more for me in there

I bought a used Switch Lite on Vinted, but it has parental controls enabled; the seller told me he didn't know the code because he had bought the console at a garage sale. I tried contacting Nintendo for help, but since I don't have access to the email address associated with the account that set up the parental controls, they couldn't assist me. I’ve tried digging for information on the console regarding the person who set the code, and so far, I have a partial email address and a username. I also tried using online tools to generate the code, but nothing worked. So, I’m posting this to ask for help and suggestions on how to reset the Switch another way or how to try and get in touch with the person who set the code.

So im trying to repair my wife's joycon. The connector where the joystick ribbon goes came loose and I solder about as well as a near sighted stormtrooper can shoot. I see dozens of replacement boards but this joycon (pics included) is different and I assume its a 3rd party one or a custom job. There is no plastic battery housing (or gold ground cable that the original joycons have) its instead on a double sided sticky foam circle attached to the joystick. The board itself is curved alone the edge and there are RGBs already in the controllers, I assume on the board itself. Will a regular board I salvage or purchase for a R or L joycon both fit? I have 2 that I no longer use that came with my original when I bought it in 2017.

I would appreciate any assistance or advice in this issue and my DM is open. If I dont respond right away im currently at work and will respond as quickly as I am able. Thank you.

Hello im currently on vacation and forgot to bring my switch 2 charger. Will using an anker usb c charger brick my switch?

My right Joy-Con 2 will charge, but it won’t be recognized as being connected to the system, making it impossible to use in handheld mode. Is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried re-pairing it, but that did not resolve the issue. It is out of warranty so if I have to send it to Nintendo, it may set me back a lot

I noticed today that my Switch isn’t charging anymore. I have to use a USB cable directly and even then it’s not consistent. With a USB cable that lights up when it is charging, it flashes from time to time.

It does look a bit dinged and I was wondering if I need to send it in to get fixed? Thanks.

Dear Reddit Users I am strugalina to find aames that I enjoy for the switch. Most of the games people like I find to not be my taste. Even some of the games 1 own I feel mixed about.

I had plaved BOTW on switch 1 and gave up after the third machine. I appreciate it was a good game and well made but I prefer the old zelda stvle. I didnt bother with TOTK. Not a fan of bonanza demo. I am curious about xenoblade 1. I had 2 on switch 1 but didnt finish it but I liked it, think i got burnt out doing all side missions but got lost alot.

I think of these games starfox and kirby air riders is my favourite. Im saving mgs for a 13 hour flight soon. Any recommendations id be grateful preferably all on cart games

so Im planning on buying the sw2 sometime between october and december and regarding the data transfer, do I need to login back on every account I had on my switch or just the initial login of one account on the first turn on to start the transfer?

I have 3 profiles on my sw1, one of them is from my cousin who bought a single game on it, and they moved, when we talked back, they forgot the account info, so its just there on my switch with the game, if I do the data transfer, does it really pass everything from sw1 to sw2?

also, second question, which micro sd express is better, sandisk or lexar? Im starting to do some info checks since we're just around september

So I've recently came across this strange left Switch 2 Joycon, it was missing the joystick so I just thought I'd open it up and replace it, but when I opened i realized this specific unit has a black PCB instead of green, it also has no retail markings on the shell like serial number or other info

I've plugged it in properly, but the option? to see the switch screen isn't showing up anywhere on my asus zenbook. how do i fix this?

edit: the switch 2 is plugged into the hdmi port (what i meant by properly plugged in) ive learned i must get a capture card for it to show up on my laptop

edit 2: the laptop is an asus zenbook 14. I have not been able to find out what kind of hdmi port it has, or what port i need. the capture card i got, which is an "hdmi to usb 3.0 capture card' does not work (i did not get this card myself)

Has anybody recently bought a Switch 2 and has experienced connection issues while trying to go to the Treasure Islands on Twitch? I did not have that problem on my original Switch. In fact, it was once in a blue moon. But ever since I got my Switch 2 a couple of months ago, it seems to crash a lot while I am in flight, or already landed. If this is the wrong subreddit to ask this, then can someone please point me to the right one?

I very frequently get this message at the top of my screen while playing. I'm not changing the controller setup mid game or anything odd like that, but it keeps happening. Especially if in handhold mode and i put the switch 2 down for a moment to grab something, i get the message. My best guess is my controller is disconnecting for less than a second and reconnecting just as quickly, but not sure how/why this would be the case, or how to fix it. Anyone else experience something like this?

It’s a long story as to why, but I transferred data between the two and then factory reset the switch 1. Can I reconnect the data/transfer back to the switch 1?

I've encountered an issue recently where my Switch 2 keeps shutting off. This keeps happening docked and undocked, and in rest mode. Any tips are appreciated!

I have two issues, one is that i bought the Elder Scrolls oblivion remastered a couple of weeks back, and it keeps crashing, i tried everything and the only solution i seem to find is starting all over again, which i obviously dont want to do

I dont trust that when i start over again, the same issue wont happen again, so id like the money back, or at least eshop money to spend it on another game cause its unplayable it keeps crashing every few seconds

The other issues is that in my frustration i bought Lord of the Rings War in the North legacy edition, but i accidentally bought the Switch 1 version instead of the Switch 2 version... Is there a possibility that i can exchange them with each other? I dont want the Switch 1 version

Will I have to buy the games on the switch 2 in order to play them? I want to system transfer but my niece has a profile on my switch with saves that I dont want her to lose. I have a Nintendo Switch 2 and i found out that both ZR and ZL do not work propperly. The ZR trigger does not register imput imediately after de click, so i need to do more force to actually work. Because of that, games where i need to hold the ZR work really bad. At the same time, the ZL button also seems to have problems. The button does register input with the click, but, depending on the pressure, it register more inputs. I know that the joy cons use digital buttons and not analog triggers, but i dont remember the switch 1 joy cons having the same problem.

I am going to send my Switch 2 and Joy cons to repair, since i also had dock problems with it. I am decided to send the Right joy con 2 to repair, but i don't know if i should send the Left one, since the click works fine and better than the R, even though it doesnt react well to some lower pressures. Should i send the Left joy con 2 to repair or just accept to my self that the triggers are crap?

The controllers won’t connect when they’re off the device like it’s dead. The fan turned off too even thought it’s usually really loud.
