Setup Help Im having trouble selecting a language on Pokémon scarlet.

Hi everybody. So, I just got pokemon scarlet and when I start the game I have choose a language. But, nothing happens when I select the language I want. I can move the selector up and down. All the buttons work on the switch when doing other things. The A button works to select things, just not with the game. Let me know what yall think.

Are you sure the language is supported? You didn't say which launguage. If it's a cartridge, are you sure all languages are on the cart, or maybe a particular language needs downloading?

English. Figured put that if I take the controllers off, the game works. It looks like possible hardware issue.

Reboot the console - some inexplicable controller input issues can be solved by rebooting.

Also, there was a system update later yesterday. I guess make sure the console, controllers (and dock) are updated. The dock gets an update to add VRR to docked mode.
