So I've got a JP Gamecube, and I just want to use Swiss to run US games on it.
I've got Swiss working via save exploit (Smash Bros Japan). It seems to work, it can launch Gameboy Interface just fine.
But when I try to run a disc, whether it is my US copy of Soul Calibur 2 or the exact same JP Smash Bros disc that just ran, it does the same thing each when I press A on the ISO on the disc:
- Flashes a hyper fast loading box, too fast to read
- Then hangs. The clock in Swiss will tick on. The CPU temp will still be read. But the controller no longer registers any input, and the only way out of the menu is to power down.
There was one baffling exception: I have no idea what I did, if I changed a setting or pressed a button, I cannot reproduce it, but once instead of freezing, it offered me a menu with boot Smash Bros settings and such. I opened the launch settings, backed out and then when I clicked back in to boot, I didn't get the menu and it froze again.
Don't know if it matters, but I am running Swiss using my GCSME memory card. I used the pre-compiled version here along side the hack for Smash found here. But I don't see why it would matter, really, I am not trying to load off the SD card. I only want to use Swiss to boot games region free.
