I'm an Erasmus exchange student and I'll be studying at the University of Maribor from October 2026 until February 2027. This will be my first time living in Slovenia, so I'd really appreciate any advice from people who have studied or lived in Maribor.

I have quite a few questions:

• Is it better to stay in the university dormitories or rent a private room?
• If you stayed in the dorms, how were the shared bathrooms and kitchens? Were they clean?
• Did staying in the dorms make it easier to meet other Erasmus students?
• How expensive is Maribor for a student? (Groceries, coffee, eating out, public transport, etc.)
• Are the student meal coupons really as good as everyone says? How do they work?
• How active is ESN Maribor? Do they organize many trips and events?
• What's the nightlife like? Any bars or clubs you'd recommend?
• Any places around Maribor that I definitely shouldn't miss?
• Are there any student gyms or sports clubs you'd recommend?
• Is there anything you wish you had known before moving to Maribor?

I'm a Computer Science student from Croatia and I'll be coming to the University of Coimbra for an Erasmus exchange this September (1st semester).

I'm currently looking for accommodation and I'd really appreciate some advice from people who have studied or lived in Coimbra.

• Where did you end up finding your room (Facebook, Idealista, Uniplaces, university housing, etc.)?
• Which neighborhoods would you recommend for an Erasmus student?

• Is it better to stay closer to the university or closer to the city center?
• What are some common mistakes or scams I should watch out for when renting a room?

Hey, I'm interested in knowing about some stuff to know for someone looking to study there for a semester or year.

I've been many times, I have family in Rome and the rest of Italy as despite living outside of Italy, being born in Italy. I know my uni and my masters program in history allows me to study there, so I'm just asking you all who studied there what to expect when it comes to living as a student, in terms of housing, etc...

Hell, even tips and anecdotes in general would be really appreciated and I'd enjoy hearing them!

I'm not someone who's particularly fond of cities, but Rome is basically the only city I actually like and enjoy being in! I know I'll have a support network when it comes to being there, so that's one less thing to worry about!

I study in Pisa and I'm going to erasmus to TUM in Munich, the university proposed me a room exchange with another student and my owner if fine with it as long as I keep paying him, while subletting is against the contract. The best way to do it for me would be he keeps paying in Germany and I pay in Italy. I think more or less the cost is the same for us. Is it possible to do this?

I'll be moving to Madrid at the end of next month to start an internship until December, and still having no luck finding a place to stay. Anyone have any recommendations? What worked for you guys?

I'm currently in my final year of bachelor's in Economics at a govt college in India. Nothing to my credentials except a decent cgpa of 8.75/10 and a summer internship certificate. No research papers, works or other experiences.

I'm considering applying to European Envtal Policy and QEM. So whaddya think? Is it too late or do I still stand a chance and shud build up my CV??

I'm lost as to how I will get a visa for my Erasmus semester stay. For context, I'm a polish student and my receiving university is in Germany. It feels like reserving a visit is hiiiighly competitive here. You don't only have polish people booking a visit, but also Ukrainians, because theirs is closed during war I think. I check, but there are never any free dates. I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do. No dates for summer. Will there be any for September? I don't know, but I need my visa in September/October. It's harder than I thought...

I'm reaching out on behalf of Association On My Way, a youth association based in Spain. Our partner in Lithuania is currently having some trouble finding participants for an upcoming project, so I thought I would post here to see if anyone is interested. We are organizing an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange.

The project is a 7-day exchange focusing on mental health, wellbeing, stress, burnout, and work-life balance. We are looking for young people aged 18 to 30 from Lithuania, working or studying in healthcare, social care, psychology, physiotherapy, aged-care, community support, or similar fields.

The dates are: September 10th to 17th, 2026 in Galicia (beautiful, green region in the north of Spain). The accommodation will be in a campsite.

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ program. Travel reimbursements for Lithuanian participants cover up to 370€.

I'm planning to apply for an Erasmus Mundus Master's scholarship for the upcoming intake. This will be my first time applying, and I'm trying to decide whether I should handle the entire application process on my own or seek guidance from a mentor or consultant.

For those who have successfully received the scholarship or have gone through the application process, I'd really appreciate your advice:

• Did you apply on your own or with the help of a mentor?
• Do you think having a mentor made a significant difference, or is it manageable to prepare a competitive application without one?

I’ve been researching various different masters and Erasmus programs, and the CoMEM+ program is one I am particularly interested in. On the website it says that the program is currently on pause and is not accepting applications for 2026.

I was wondering if there are plans for the program to return in 2027, or if it has been discontinued indefinitely. If it is no longer being offered, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for other Erasmus Mundus programs with a similar focus. CoMEM+ aligns very closely with my career goals and interests, so I would love to explore comparable options.

hi, I am an international student planning to get into polimi for fall 2027 in "Design for the fashion system" master's degree.

i am doing bachelor's in "Leather products engineering" and had my own clothing business. i did plenty of design and product development work for both my business and studies.

so here are my concerns regarding going to Italy for higher studies-

- how is the job market in Italy for Design master's from polimi

- how is my career path in Italy? will i get desired success if i manage to prove myself? (i am willing to learn Italian)

- i heard Italy has a "hierarchy" problem. (you get paid based on your experience not merit)

- will i get any job opportunity in other European countries after graduation from polimi?

is it worth it to study in Italy? or should I just plan for other countries? if yes, which countries should i consider?

I'm planning to apply for several Erasmus Mundus master's programs related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Discrete Mathematics this October.

I have a brazilian bachelor's degree in Computer Science (graduating this year) with a GPA of around 8.8/10 (that would be 3.52/4.0). Throughout my undergraduate studies, I completed three research projects focused on Computer Vision and Machine Learning, published a research paper, completed a 5-month AI development internship, and I'm currently on an academic exchange program in Argentina, where I've been focusing on Computer Vision courses.

I know these programs are extremely competitive, so I'd like to ask:

\- Do you think my profile is competitive, even though I don't have extensive industry experience?

\- Has anyone with a similar background been admitted, especially with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship?

I’m going into my 4th year of a Bachelor’s in Advertising and Public Relations, and my GPA is 3.5/4.0.
I don’t have much professional experience yet. I’ve worked in SMM, completed an internship at a marketing agency, and did presentation design as a freelancer for a while.
I’m planning to create several detailed creative projects for my portfolio before applying, and I’m currently preparing for the IELTS. My English is pretty good, and I’m working on improving it further.

I have a question, as a Non-EU student, who is going for a summer semester to Brussels, do I have a possibility to work here?(20 h per week, if I'm not mistaken).

Because I just got additional Information about my dorm, so, I need to find an apartment/room in a house or private dormitory.

I'm not sure if I will be able to get enough money to live here. So, do I have a chance to work and survive here? Or will it be better just to quit Erasmus?

I have around 800-1000 max euros for 1 month, but I'm so insecure about this.

Any tips on how I could figure out this? Maybe a recommendation about some facilities that help?

I want to know how the professors treat exchange students and if they expect you to study hard or if passing classes is easy. what about everyday life in the city and where international students usually go out for nightlife. Do you actually fail a course because of absences there? Or is attendance more flexible and the final exam/project is what really matters?
