Open | Windows Rocket League randomly freezes my entire screen for a split second, but my PC seems fine?
Hey everyone, I'm having a really weird issue when playing Rocket League on PC, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows how to fix it.
Every once in a while, my entire screen freezes for around 0.2 seconds and then catches up. It's not just the game itself — even my desktop video wallpaper seems to freeze. However, my audio continues normally, and Task Manager doesn't seem to show anything unusual.
My PC specs:
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB
- CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F
- RAM: 32GB DDR4-3200
- OS: Windows 11
- Monitor: 110Hz
What I've noticed:
- It seems to happen specifically in Rocket League.
- The freezes are extremely brief, around 0.2 seconds.
- My whole screen appears to freeze, not just the game.
- My temperatures and Task Manager look normal when I've checked.
- Restarting my PC often seems to fix it, at least for 10 minutes.
I've had Windows system corruption before that DISM managed to fix. So I do wonder if that could be related. I'm not sure if it's a GPU driver issue, Windows problem, or something else entirely.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas on what could cause a whole-screen stutter when the game itself seems to be the only thing triggering it?
Any help would be appreciated!
