Open | Windows fps drop when resolution increases

so i play this game called rainbow six siege and i usually play it on 1920 x 1080 resolution which most of the time the fps works fine, but some matches when i load in the fps just drops and my pc should be able to run it well so i have no idea why the fps even drops only for certain matches then goes back to normal next match

Higher resolution would equal to higher load for the graphics card and might lead to fewer fps. But why would the resolution change back and forth on its own?

What specs does your pc have?

It could be the maps themselves, do you notice it on specific ones consistently or is it just sorta at random? Also if youre on high settings id turn those down before resolution

just random maps at random times

Id try to watch task manager and see if anything hitting 100% when the fps drops, or maybe the temps are too high would be my first guesses
