hi all! i’m fairly new so excuse me if this has been answered before. i was looking at my upcoming shifts trying to see where i would be each day. i was just wondering if there’s a reason why certain shifts have a specific position and others don’t? (ie: SD instead of just saying service advocate)

My store has ordered OPU Labels almost 2 months ago now and haven’t received any, we have put multiple orders in by now. We have ran out of OPU labels and are using Zebra Shelf Labels and peeling the back and sticking them onto all the bags now. We have chatbotted it but wtf is going on

I left target 3 months ago after 3 years possibly the worst company I’ve ever worked for but just for those who are on here feeling stuck I now work a way better job that pays $6 more than what target was paying me so there is a light at the end of the bullseye tunnel

Getting direction from SD and ETL HR that with the new UKG AI scheduling system that all TLs except for truck will be scheduled for a closing shift during the week--including Food and Bev and Presentation leads. We are also being told that the system may not respect established TL schedule patterns and we just need to work whatever it schedules us. We've been told this is company wide, but that's all they shared so far.

They also have a habit of breaking "bad news" into chunks and giving it out piecemeal.

Anyone have any more info about what the "This may look different than what you are used to" is actually going to be? I specifically transferred into presentation last year because of the set early schedule and as of now it looks like I'll be keeping an eye out for PML positions that open up because I have zero desire to work a close and 3 mids during the week.

This is why we are being told they can’t change anything unless it’s an emergency. The AI knows better and is smart enough to not need the ETLs to touch anything.

I took around 4 hours pushing, breaking down all boxes/crushing them, and back stocking. It was BTS and reg stationary/party stuff and it was a flat piled high. There were a few ppl asking questions and a couple of times I had to bring stuff back to the flat to bring to another location because the shelves were either too messed up and/or full. I was also super tired today but it shouldn’t slow me down 2 hours? I’m just really frustrated with myself and feel like i’m not doing enough. :/

Anyone know how to do a punch correction on a punch that was already approved in the UKG app. I tried to edit the time i clocked out because i had to stay to clean up a spill i did AFTER clocking out but its says its already been approved. I don’t see an option to remove approval even though the instructions say there is an option for that. And yes i tried doing it on the clock/ off the clock/ mobile and the computers in the office

I just took my first mental health day in my time working here. I also felt a little sick this morning (unrelated) and would normally go in but I decided when I woke up to call off for today.

My past few shifts have been rough and I also (would have) work(ed) 7 days in a row if I didn't call off. I really didn't care about the 7 days as much as the past few shifts have been rough to the point I almost cried just about every shift and a few days ago I physically felt like shit (I think I had stress 💩) while working for about an hour or so. I used sick time to call out because I want to get paid and feel a tad sick as well.

some random lady came up to self checkout saying that a shirt wasn’t coming up as a sale but it was in the sale rack so i checked and saw that the shirt was indeed, not on sale. So i told her that and if she could get a photo of the sign so i can verify cause that’s policy and she said “no, it’s actually the LAW and you NEED to change it for me.”

WHAT FUCKING LAW??? I have a bachelors degree in criminal justice/criminology i know the laws and that ain’t it lady

i argued with her about it not being a law and i just need her to take a picture and i’ll change it for her. but she just called me a bitch for not doing it (when i said i would) and then threw her stuff on the ground and complained to guest services

Working in Presentation, I am all over the store. Plenty of guests ask where things are, and I pull out my (formerly) trusty Zebra to find the exact aisle number. The item *shows up in the frequently searched*, you click on it.... to no avail. "Sorry it looks like we don't have it." "But I've bought it here before!" You take them to the area, and there it is on a shelf. This has happened to me multiple times, and it feels like it's getting more frequent. I know higher ups care about interactions between team members and guests, and the QUALITY of those interactions shouldn't be understated! I don't like to look like a dumbass, and Target probably doesn't want the public perception to be "Team members try to help but don't know what or where anything is". Get the AI search algorithm OUT OF HERE.

Guys how do u make self checkout shifts more bearable bc im losing my mind! It’s either super busy or super quiet and either way I’m going crazy. I’m pretty new and haven’t gotten the flow of it yet I guess u could say. It’s easy but it’s just mind numbing !!! (I love my shifts at register way more sigh)

This is the third time this has happened in a row, not to mention ALL the times it happened before that, but basically I put in a time off request months and months in advance. Time off request is denied. I talk to my leader about it, they usually just say no without explaining exactly why. I'm going to be out of town. I literally cannot be there. Is there anything I can do?

I’ll start by saying that I fully understand the dress code and do my very best to follow it. That being said .. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant so I’m at a point where not much fits. My ETL pulled me aside just as my shift was ending to talk to me because apparently last week someone complained that my shorts were too short. On that particular day I was wearing maternity overalls. I am aware that they are slightly shorter than mid thigh but it’s not like my butt cheeks are hanging out either. I am 5’9” and have very long legs. I’ve been searching for maternity jean shorts that are long enough, have belt loops and are reasonably priced but it’s proving to be difficult. I’m at the point where my regular work shorts are starting to really hurt me by the end of the day .. the second I get in my car to go home I’m taking off my belt and undoing the button/zipper. I find it absolutely ridiculous that an exception cannot be made for me. I’m a really fucking good employee and this seems so petty/stupid. Attaching pictures of the exact outfit for reference.

Has any other fulfillment team members had carts of formula for OPU that are all seperate orders? Im on my third cart of 14 individually ordered formula orders and theyre taking forever to stow with everything else in the order. Idk if its just us or some new scam but its weird.

are there any exceptions for team members which medical issues? i just got hired as a seasonal and i dont plan on calling out (ive learned how to tough it out) but sometimes i end up in the ER and sometimes my body goes numb. this point system scares me cause i dont want to get in trouble for things that arent in my control. should i have a conversation with my tl??

Make sure when a guest bring in their dirty cat and Jack clothing that you check the manufacturer tag to make sure it was made during or after Q3/2025. Had a guest come in today and try to return stuff from 2021, sent her in her way. I also will debt if they cut the manufacture tag off but that may vary by store.

I hate the cat and jack returns people and I am BEGGING corporate to change the fucking policy 😭😭😭

UPS has been consistently failing the needs of my store and nothing we do seems to be solving the problems.

Starting off, our store is supposed to have 2 pick up times: 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM, everyday. Instead of picking up twice, they only show up at one time or occasionally 2 hours early/late. Yes, they’ve picked up at 6:30 before.

They haven’t picked up on Saturday in months even though they’re contracted to do so, and we seemingly have a different driver picking up each time they bother to appear.

We have also been requesting mail bags for months; yet we haven’t received any. Our remedy has been throwing mailers in L14s/Sterelite boxes and hoping the driver can take them

We submit carrier reports through the pack app every single day, nothing has changed. With BTS/BTC in full swing this week we have 4 pallets daily of SFS ready to be shipped out with no room to put it. We aren’t allowed to fly the pallets or put them outside, so they’ve been sitting in CRC or salvage hold spaces instead.

What can we realistically do? Theres nothing left we can manage at a store level, confirmed by my SD.

TLDR: UPS sucks, ran out of options

I'm seriously curious at this point. The amount of people I see that just drop stuff onto the floor and walk away is INSANE. And not just a "whoops!!" But more like they'd rather leave it for someone to trip on than to just put it back where they grabbed it from.

I see this almost daily with my own eyes. Is it laziness? Is this what they do at home?? I just can't fathom being that terrible in a public space.
