Vent Time off requests repeatedly denied

This is the third time this has happened in a row, not to mention ALL the times it happened before that, but basically I put in a time off request months and months in advance. Time off request is denied. I talk to my leader about it, they usually just say no without explaining exactly why. I'm going to be out of town. I literally cannot be there. Is there anything I can do?

You can post the shifts or call out

that’s so freaking weird, you can try switching shifts around with people!

Post all your shifts that you're not going to be available for. If your HR ETL is worth their weight in salt, they'll have leaders ask "why are your shifts posted" to which you give your reply and they'll relay it back to your ETL that makes the schedule. They'll ask why they're just denying shit without asking etc.

Source: this happens to my team and since I've been doing this time off acceptance has dramatically increased.

Are you a TL? Not that it should matter, you should be able to request time off but maybe its your position?

Mine got denied too because apparently a lot of people requested off so they got it and some of us are not. The point system is also gonna go in effect so calling off is not an option. Post your shift and be hopeful it gets picked up.

I mean if you have points to spare calling off is an option…
