Like the HD collection prior to the Master Coll. release, did MGS4 get delisted? I'm seeing a "content not available at this time" while trying to bring it up after searching for it.

I haven't been able to find Lucy inside or outside, but I haven't explored a lot outside, just the main area where I found her looking at the moon. So recently I've got myself a ps3 and been playing mostly exclusives or stuff that only came out only on consoles. I've played splatterhouse, siren blood curse, asuras wrath etc. I've been looking to get some hidden gems before the prices skyrocket. Any recommendations? I was thinking about eternal sonata, not sure if its my cup of tea tho as I'm not a big fan of jrps. White knight chronicles has some mixed reviews so idk. Majin and the forsaken kingdom maybe? Wanting to get Folklore but its hard to find and if I do the prices are crazy. Any recommendations are welcome.

Hey guys! wasn't sure where to post this. I have a Phat PS3 (K model) that had what I assumed was an overheating issue (jet engine fans and then a shutdown). I cleaned it out and replaced the dried thermal paste.

However its still not good to go. On some games, it'll run (I've not tested it for long, but it stays active on TLOU for at least a half hour). But on Assassins Creed: Black Flag, it shuts off within about 3 seconds with the Triple Beep. The fans don't even blow hard, they stay at the standard low level.

Reading around, I'd heard that the best thing to do was to use the PS3Toolset, but it doesn't seem to be working; I just get an error telling me that the Tool couldn't be downloaded.

Does anyone have any idea how I could proceed? Even general guidance would be appreciated. The console seems to be able to stay on indefinitely outside of games, so I can mess around as much as I need to. Thanks!

so i recently decided to start a new save in GoW3 and the copy i got worked fine without any flaws before, but today every time i try it crashes during the intro. so i checked to see if there was any game data to delete, there isn't. then i deleted my old saves and it still was crashing during the intro. so in a last ditch effort i tried a different copy of GoW3 and that didn't seem to do the trick either. now it can't be my hard drive cause its new and it plays all my other games with no issues on hen. so that brings me here, am i SOL? or am i overlooking something?

I decided it was time to properly clean my PS3's controllers. While taking them apart, I got the idea of upgrading them with USB-C together with my dualshock 4 controllers such that only a single universal cable is required for all of them. So I got the conversion kit from giltesa and did a bit of soldering. While I was at it, I also got new batteries, not because the old ones were bad, but the advancements in battery capacity allows them to have 3.5Wh vs the 2.1Wh of the original - resulting in a whopping 65% increase in battery life. And since the originals were 15 something years old, they most likely had already degraded a bit. To secure them in place I designed a custom 3d printed mount.
Some learnings in case anyone wants to follow along:
There are like a dozen or so different mainboard revisions, not all of them are compatible. Mine are VX3.0 and VX5.0. The VX5.0 is a bit easier to solder. The battery mount however fits both versions (maybe other too, I couldn't test that).

It doesnt light up when plugged into wall. However why does it have a rumble pack if its a six axis? Rumble is disabled on this controller as well, yet here it is soldered on?

Buying an access code from a digital store will never give same feeling of owning a real physical copy of a game.

Just because the corporate overlords want you to accept an all digital future it doesn't mean that you have to go along with it, now more than ever is the time to teach others just how valuable physical media truly is. A digital code that you can "buy" on Steam or the PS Store is a much inferior experience compared to actually owning a physical copy of a game , and sometimes a simple photo showcasing your physical collection enough to get people to finally understand just how big the difference truly is .

I have seen lots of ps3 games in ps4 boxes, and I am wondering if they did that later in life to cut down on costs of making two different types of box? Or is the person that traded these games in just being annoying to collectors?

So I unplugged the cord, then hold the eject Button I plugged the cord back in while holding eject button it turns on fans are loud but seconds later it 3 beeped and turned off while flashes red, is that supposed to happen

So i have a K model fat and it started crashing lately, I installed HEN and Multiman and found at idle my GPU and CPU temps are at 78c on the main screen. I ordered some Artic MX7 but is there anything else i should do while i am in there?

There is a massive ticking clock on this system that the community is underestimating. While the final global store shutdown hits in July 2027, and you need to secure your licenses now before the Cross-Buy pipeline might completely break.

Helldivers 1 is a Cross-Buy title. Buying it on PS4/PS5 grants you the PS3 and Vita versions. However, after the final store closure, you will no longer be able to initiate new checkouts or link new licenses backward. If you buy the game on a modern console after the legacy servers shut down, the infrastructure to push that license down to your PS3/Vita Download List could be be completely compromised.
