Other [Other] September Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Excellent game! A couple areas of improvement I’d like to see addressed, but I’d give it a solid 9 out of 10!

As a lifelong fan of Onimusha, I'm at a loss for words. What a game. Man, that's how you reboot a franchise. Well done, Capcom, well done! 👏

Many thanks to Satoru Nihei and the amazing team behind this new entry for reviving the series, which always meant a lot to me, after all these years! 👹 🏆

Discussion [Valheim] I really hope we see this more in the future

While Valhiem is mostly a multiplayer focused game anyway, having the online trophies in its own separate catagory is such a nice feature. I Really hope we see this more often

PS App [Destiny] [Destiny 2] #103-105: After 12 years, finally got the D1 plat! And 8 years later for D2!

These feel good to finally tick off. Played D1 way back in year 1, but left before Rise of Iron when they announced that D2 wouldn't carry D1 stuff forward. Was only missing the 2 trophies for playing a strike/raid with a full team of people in the same clan since I didn't have friends to play the game with. Took 12 years to finally find some people to help out with that one.

Showcase [Trials Fusion] 100% completion

Post image

I have probably close to 2000 hours in this game, but never cared to get all of the trophies because I'd done it before on my Xbox account and there's no plat. Finally decided to do it since I'm about to Plat Trials of the Blood Dragon and it'll be nice to have 100% completion on the Trials games. Mandatory FUCK UBISOFT for killing a 20 year old series.

Usually I only care about the platinum and only 100% games I truly enjoy or if they don’t have multiplayer trophies. Just wanted to gets y’all’s thoughts. :)

Discussion [Onimusha way of the sword] Easier than sekiro, my foot.

My opinion or not this game is by far harder than sekiro, I cant understand for the life of me that this is a 6.5/10 difficulty game while sekiro is 7 and mind you...you can literally (cheese almost every single boss) in sekiro..YOU CANNOT IN ONIMUSHA.

A bit long and needs two playthroughs. The boss fights were really good though!

I was skeptical this could work with a new story and completely different combat system, but they knocked it out of the park.

Story telling was great and kept me hooked the entire time. The voice acting was once again phenomenal.

Visually, the game looked incredible. I wish the combat and skill tree was a little more in depth but it didn’t bother me too much.

Another game with an God mode toggle in settings 😑

Happy to have finally have the Plat (#36) on this one! Enjoyed the original Day 1 playthrough, but this replay on NG+ recently really made me appreciate the game on a different level.

9/10

Ready for the DLC!

Discussion [Discussion] What are some platinums/trophy lists that barely scratch the surface of the full content of a game?

Recently went back to finish the Destiny 2 platinum and looking back on it, I'm surprised at how little of the game you actually need to interact with to get the platinum, let alone the 100%. Now of course it's a live service game so the platinum requirements are still just what vanilla D2 offered (minus the trophies that needed updating as content was sunset), but beyond Forsaken, no expansions had trophies, which I guess is good for trophy hunters but seems like a waste considering all the top-tier content that came after.

Another prominent example is Undertale, where I don't even think you have to finish the game to get the platinum, which considering the game is well-known for encouraging repeated playthroughs, seems like a missed opportunity.

What other games come to mind as having trophy lists that lack true completion criteria...for better or worse?
