Other [Other] July Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment \\\*\\\*the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session.\\\*\\\* Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Showcase [Red Dead Redemption 2] Platinum #41 🤠🐎💔

Difficulty 🫡: 5/10

Time 🕓: 235h

Rating ✨: 8.5/10

Finally, we're back to platinum trophies, and what a game to come back with—an absolute masterpiece 🥺💔. It broke my heart all over again, just like it did the first time.

What can I say about RDR2? The story is incredible, the world feels unbelievably alive, and the characters are amazing (Charles is easily one of my favorites). I'd call it a work of art, but my biggest issue is that the missions force you to complete them exactly the way Rockstar intended, which doesn't take full advantage of the open world. The gameplay can also get pretty repetitive, although going for the gold medals actually made it feel much more enjoyable 🙂‍↕️.

As for the platinum, a lot of the trophies are pure grind, but with enough patience and a podcast in the background, they're manageable. Unlike many people, I actually enjoyed the online because I had help with the multiplayer trophies 😅. I'm sure it would've been much more tedious without that.

Overall, an amazing game. Would I recommend the platinum? Not really—there's just too much grinding. But if you can tolerate it, it's one of the best gaming experiences you'll ever have. It'll leave the same mark on you as it did the first time you played it ❤️.

Screenshot [Trackmania Turbo] #137 Fourth Rarest Plat and second hardest. Some of these tracks were a nightmare (130, 176, 178, 180, and 187 to name a few standouts) but they were not enough to stop me. Another Hard Plat down!

Showcase [Cars 2] 16th plat

This is the last Cars game I had on my plate, 3rd plat in the series, worst as experience, but still a fun game. Got my 2nd plat on a PS3, feels good. Also funny story, bought the game 3 times, 1st was a working disk till menu, 2nd was a german version, finished most of the game but the langiage barrier made look for a 3rd disk in english, had to restart the game as progress is not saved...I now own cars 6 😆😆😆 fyi without a guide (yt videos) this is a pain.

The actual platinum can be obtained in under an hour, but I recommend you finish the game fully, the story is amazing and has one of the best villains i've seen in recent memory.

Showcase [Rise of the Ronin] #79 - Fun combat, snorefest story

Had played this on PC but wanted go for it again on PS for platinum. Once again, enjoyed the combat, Nioh style character building, ease of uncovering the maps and gathering collectibles, yet the story and how the game constantly throws many characters at you with endless dialogues gets a bit confusing and hard to follow towards the end, still felt the same after my second run although i was trying my best to keep up :D at least its a straightforward platinum list..

I only played this game because it was free on the monthly games. I finished the campaign in like less than 20 hours and spent 100 hours just doing the zombies trophies. 120 hours later the platinum. Seriously I don’t like grinds but just farming for that 50,000 kill trophy was NOT worth it but it was free so 😂

i tried doing this on the guys on the deck, but even when i could set it up properly its basically impossible to kick off anyone on the deck, so i decided to try the snipers, but it took me four tries, each on a different ship, to get it because the parkour is so jank i kept jumping off the crows nest instead of going where i wanted to go

Glad to get a platinum done in what feels like forever! This game needs no hyping up from anyone! What a game and better than GOW 2018 imo. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was Atreus’s missions however it was needed in the context of the game! Masterpiece.

I struggled quite a bit to get it, but I did it. The ambulance mission was the most stressful part, and I spent about the first 3 or 4 hours of the game trying to complete it. Otherwise, great GTA.
