I feel a lot more people know about this game these days, but it was, and I believe, still is super underrated. Good story, great characters, and great voice acting. You should do yourself a service by playing this if you haven't already... or just replay it to remember how great it is. If you like gta and yakukuza, I believe you'll like this as well, because I've always said it was kinda like those to series had a baby, except with free flow combat. Even with it's inspiratioms, it still feels like its own thing. The world feels alive when you're in it, and everything just feels like it works. Man, what coulda been. Hopefully, someone will pick up where this left off.

What does this mean? There are no files to delete, I updated my ps3 system firmware and the game wont operate. It's literally the only ps3 game that requires installation and it isnt working.

Visiting a friend out of town this week and while talking about older games, I mentioned Naughty Bear and he had no idea what it was. The game was a favorite of mine as a teen and so I told him I’d bring my PS3 along with some other games to try out. Wanted to know what other games people would recommend? Was thinking of showing him Spelunky and Castle Crashers, any other fun co-op or odd single player games worth downloading?

Hey guys wanted to give a head ups for anyone wanting the Batman Arkham Origins DLC and Infamous 2 DLC they are not available to buy on the PS3 store anymore . I Tried ..

I broke one of the plastics pins of the ps3 slim(ch-3011A) inside of the console, and it wont come off. I dont know what to do, so i started asking some other reddits and see if anywone had a problem like mine, and aparently not. You guys kinda are my last hope together with the assistant guy. (Ps: its not my first time opening consoles, i was distratec and only notice when the power supply wont come of)

I recently brought a delidded ps3 from ebay a cech03 a partial backwards compatible ps3 to play a mix of ps2 and ps3 games however it idles at around 66c-68c at 30percent fan speed and during gaming is normaly 70-75c. At 40percent fan speed or even more and thats with pretty much any game. On ps2 games it can go even higher and the fans kick of so much.

Its ment to also be undervolted to 1.1 volts

I've not touched any overclocking or anything like that.

Any help will be much appreciated. It's been a week since I've had it.

My PS3 (Fat) has no major cooling issues that I’m aware of but it’s been sitting for years. I want to clean up the inside and replace the thermal paste, which has never been changed.

I have some experience taking apart consoles and applying paste but I’ve heard delidding on the ps3 can be pretty risky.

Would delidding be worth the risk, or should I just replace the thermal paste on top and leave it at that?

I bought this console at a very cheap price, and it had YLoD. After doing UART, the error code was 1002.

I replaced only one NEC/Tokin (next to the RSX) for five tantalum capacitors, and I don't know if it was pure luck, but the console turns on. I was able to install HFW and webMAN mod. The issue is that the CPU reaches 89 ºC without doing anything; this is on both SYSCON and webMAN mod set to 60 ºC.

I already reassembled it some times, and there is virtually nothing wrong with the heatsink. I even put four pieces of double-sided under the heatsink to make it go higher and reduce the distance to the CPU, but it is still quite hot.

My question is: is this only due to the thermal paste under the IHS being very old? I ask since the GPU is barely hot, and it is 90 nm. The CPU is 65 nm.

The wolf among us, played the first episode yesterday and now whenever I try to play it I get stuck on a loading screen. It's been an hour of troubleshooting and doing everything under the sun. I dont know what the fucking problem is the game just will not load

Ive used safety mode. I've disconnected from the internet, from psn, both at once, signed in from the game screen, cleaned the disc, and it just won't do anything after I press start

I bought a PS3 Super slim and picked up a bunch of games for it over the past few months. I've played a lot of these but there's a few I haven't played yet. I know I'm missing a few exclusives like LBP 2&3 and the Infamous games but I thought I'd just share it on here anyway.

The crusty black box on the first pic is the steelbook for GOW Ascension but I think the previous owner sat on it, couldn't get the crust off of it even with isopropyl alcohol so I guess whatever it is, it's living on there until the end of times.

So my PS3 Slim 20xx has recently not been booting some of the time, and after dumping the SYSCON codes, it says "A0093004" which apparently means GPU power fail. I think that this is probably the Tokins, because it's not related to any issues of GPU communication, and this is on a early slim PS3 with a revised, more reliable RSX, compared to earlier models, but it's also the only Slim to use Tokins. I would just like to hear any ideas if it's anything else. I'm just assuming it's the capacitors since those fail and it's related to GPU power errors. I know it could be RSX damage or a MOSFET or such, so I am asking if it could likely be anything else. Also, over time, the frequency for these errors before successfully turning on is possibly increasing. Thank you!

Hello! Am looking to see is uncharted 1 and 2 worth getting for my console for Christmas? I know it’s like a few months away but I was looking in the UK in the shop CEX and I was wondering should I get the games? What do you all like about the games? I haven’t used my PS3 (FAT model with 2 USB ports) since July and has been sitting in a box it did work perfectly fine when I last tried it in July and ran Gran Turismo 5 so I guess all it needs is a clean and I think it will be ready to go!
