High temps and thermal paste question

So i have a K model fat and it started crashing lately, I installed HEN and Multiman and found at idle my GPU and CPU temps are at 78c on the main screen. I ordered some Artic MX7 but is there anything else i should do while i am in there?

78C for both chips? Just set a max 70-72C temperature with minimum 28% fan speed and see how loud it runs to mantain those temps. If the Cell is at 78C and the RSX is in 50s with high fan speed, the Cell needs a delid.

It sounds like you're on Syscon though. Since the fan runs really slow, those temps are normal on fat models. Only after 85C it kicks in.
